Description

The invention relates to a concrete block according to the preamble of claim 1. Such concrete blocks are from the US 5,224,792 A known.

Usual paving stones, as used for the attachment of traffic areas are made of cuboidal processed natural stones, which under one Grout training be offset, with the joint width of the joint filling depends. If the joints are filled in with the jointed sand, then Compared to a paving stone bond with grout only about half the joint width needed to have sufficient mutual support over the joint sand ensure the paving stones, but with increasing settling of the joint sand decreases into the ground. Regardless of the respective Joint filling is to provide for a corresponding joint training, which is a requires comparatively precise mutual alignment of the paving stones. There The paving stones themselves can give no help for the joints education must additional support measures, such as the tightening of guide lines, the required paving stone orientation is achieved. Become usual Paving stones replaced by comparable concrete blocks (DE 89 03 707 U1), so can indeed with a comparatively low production distance cams be provided in the corner of each connection side, wherein by a Additional cam prevented a mutual longitudinal displacement of the concrete blocks but the difficulties remain with regard to the mutual Support with a sand filling of the joints exist.

Wegen der für die Entwässerung vorgesehenen, seitlichen Abstände zwischen den ineinandergreifenden Abstandhaltern besteht jedoch die Gefahr, daß der Fugensand aus den Fugen ausgeschwemmt wird, womit die gegenseitige Abstützung der Betonsteine über den Fugensand entfälltTo concrete blocks for securing driveable surfaces on the one hand with wider Joints for a grassy growth and on the other hand with narrower joints for one It is known that it is possible to lay sand filling without complicated alignment work (US 5,224,792 A), on the upstanding from the footprint pads Spacer in the form of side-edge-parallel ribs with a length smaller to provide as the height of the stone, the ribs on opposite one another Terminal sides are arranged offset in space. Following these measures Such concrete blocks can be strung together so that the spacers Opposite each other, what a joint width corresponding to the double Height of the spacers corresponds. However, if the connecting block is offset by 90 °, so the spacers abut each to the pads of the concrete blocks Release a joint according to the height of the spacers. Because of the for the drainage provided, lateral distances between the interlocking Spacers, however, there is a risk that the joint sand out the joints are flushed out, whereby the mutual support of concrete blocks About the joint sand deleted

To obtain a substantially liquid-tight, drivable floor covering, it is also known (WO 93/16231 A1), the pads of the the floor covering forming, cuboid concrete blocks with against each other Gap offset to provide protrusions and recesses, which when moving the Concrete blocks interlock form-fitting, so that the concrete blocks over support these teeth-like interlocking projections and recesses together. Since the projections and recesses extend only over part of the height of the stone, results in the area of the visible surfaces between the concrete blocks a joint, which is filled at least over part of its depth with a sealing compound. This liquid-tight seal not only sets a given joint width, but also a mutual support of the concrete blocks on the toothed Vor- and recesses from what a mutual support over different Excludes joint fillings.

The invention is therefore based on the object, a concrete block of the beginning to design such a way that not only a simple orientation be ensured regardless of similar concrete blocks can, whether the mutual support of concrete blocks over joint sand or grout but above all the conditions for the installation be improved with eingekehrtem joint sand.

The invention solves the problem posed by the fact that at least in the field of Footprint the cross section of the gaps a negative shape of the cross section represents the ribs and that the length of the portion of the ribs with constant Height equal to or less than one stone height.

In a concrete block laying for sand joint training grab those from the footprint towering ribs of concatenated concrete blocks according to the proposed measure interlocking, which is not only the mutual Stone support improved, but due to the achieved so that the joints ensures a permanent sand filling of the joints, because the joint sand can not settle between the ribs in the ground. Nevertheless if sufficient water drainage is maintained between the concrete blocks, because yes, the accumulating rainwater between the interlocking ribs can leak into the underground. The for the use of grout required larger joint width is in a conventional manner by a mutual Twisting the concrete blocks reached by 90 °, if due to this Rotation the ribs of the adjacent concrete blocks abut, the Ribs as the displacement of concrete blocks facilitating spacers, effective become.

As the ribs of adjoining concrete blocks for the formation of sand joints especially in the area of the footprint positively interlock should, without a sufficient sand filling for the mutual stone support To endanger, they are in a known manner in a section of constant height and a subsequent section with decreasing towards the visible surface Height designed. The height of the footprint Rib section of constant height is at least a quarter of the stone height to restrict, in spite of a sufficient strength of the interlocking Rib sections the essential power transfer between the concrete blocks about the sand filling to yourself. The ribs are supposed to be in theirs Total length should preferably not exceed more than two thirds of the height of the stone, wherein a total rib length corresponding to half of the stone height usual Requirements are sufficient.

So that by a half-length offset rows of concrete blocks in a simple way on the intermeshing ribs is possible the pads have an even number of ribs.

The concrete block according to the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2 has a cuboid basic shape with a footprint 1, one of these Contact area 1 opposite, drivable visible surface 2 and each other pairs opposite pads 3 on. Unlike traditional cuboid concrete blocks are the pads 3 with ribs. 4 provided, which protrude parallel to the side edges of the footprint 1 and have a portion 5 of constant height, away from the visible surface 2 towards the height of the ribs 4 decreases continuously, as shown in FIG. 2 to can be found. The length I of the rib portions with constant height corresponds about a quarter of the stone height H, but may also be smaller. The total length L of the ribs 4 is smaller than the height of the stone H, so that the ribs 4 with Distance below the visible surface 2 ends. As shown in FIG. 1 are removed can, the ribs 4 of the respective opposite pads 3 arranged staggered, the arrangement being such that the Gaps 6 between the ribs 4 in the region of the rib sections 5 in cross section represent a negative shape of the rib cross-section. This means that two concrete blocks according to FIGS. 1 and 2 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 so strung together can be that the ribs 4 of the abutting Concrete blocks each form-fitting in the gaps 6 of the opposite stone intervene and consequently the gap 7 opening towards the visible surfaces 2 the mutually facing pads 3 down in the area of Complete rib sections 5. The width of the joint 7 is characterized by the rib height determined in the area of sections 5. When moving the concrete blocks is thus an always constant gap between the lined up Concrete blocks taken care of. This joint 7 can in a conventional manner with joint sand 8 are filled, as indicated in Fig. 4. The joint sand is in the trapped down gap 7 and thus allows a permanent support of the concrete blocks on the joint filling, the tooth-like Locking of the stones in the region of the rib sections 5 following the Footprint 1 an additional composite effect allows.

Should not be a sand joint between the concrete blocks to be moved, but be provided a mortar joint whose width is about twice the width of a Sand joint corresponds, so according to FIG. 5, one of the two concrete blocks opposite of FIG. 3 to rotate 90 °, so that now the ribs 4 of the adjacent Pads 3 are opposite, resulting in an opposite Fig. 3 double-wide joint 7 leads. This means that the gap 7 between the concrete blocks in the area of the gaps 6 between the ribs 4 not after is closed at the bottom, but this is not a disadvantage because of the mortar filling. It is on the contrary by pouring into the gap areas grout 9 achieved an improvement in the connection of concrete blocks.

In contrast to the concrete blocks of FIGS. 1 to 4, the Concrete blocks according to FIGS. 5 and 6 ribs 4 with a total length, the only about half of the height of the stone corresponds, so that the volume of the joints. 7 is increased accordingly, regardless of whether the stones in the sense a sand joint or a mortar joint are joined together.

As can be seen from the exemplary embodiments, the ribs are each arranged in an even number on the pads 3, which is a facilitated by a half-length offset stone arrangement. In order for such Staggered concrete block laying to ensure just edge finishes are to produce corresponding semi-stones.
