Abstract

Process for manipulating workpieces to be carburized comprises inserting the workpieces or a workpiece magazine on palettes into a rotary furnace in rows corresponding to a prescribed number of workpiece rows, removing from the furnace after carburizing and feeding to a press. The palettes are arranged in the furnace in the number of rows so that the row number is a multiple of the press number. Preferred Features A free place is provided next to the palettes to be removed from the furnace.
