Abstract
L'invention concerne des protéines de N-acétyltransférase arylamine provenant de Mycobacterium tuberculosis, ainsi qu'un gène et une protéine de N-acétyltransférase arylamine provenant de Mycobacterium smegmatis et des anticorps produits contre les produits géniques et protéines y relatifs. L'invention concerne également des méthodes permettant de détecter des mycobactéries à l'aide des anticorps et des souches mycobactériennes exprimant ces protéines ou manquant de celles-ci. Cette invention concerne par ailleurs des méthodes destinées à détecter par criblage des composés qui sont des ligands des protéines de N-acétyltransférase arylamine provenant de mycobactéries, par exemple des substrats et des inhibiteurs. Ces ligands, dont des exemples sont donnés, peuvent être utilisés dans des médicaments destinés à traiter les infections mycobactériennes, ou dans des formulations anti-mycobactériennes, et peuvent par ailleurs être conçus au moyen de structures tridimensionnelles des protéines de cette invention. L'invention concerne enfin des méthodes d'identification de séquences d'acide nucléique associées à des enzymes reconnues comme étant utiles pour synthétiser des médicaments anti-mycobactériens, ou pour servir de cibles à ceux-ci.
