Definitions

  • the invention relates to the connection of a tube end element luminescent to its high voltage power cable.
  • connection terminal electric comprising a body having, from one end, a rod threaded then a first smooth portion whose external diameter corresponds substantially to the external diameter of the thread of the rod and finally a second smooth portion of larger diameter, the connection between the two portions smooth forming a shoulder, an axial drilling being practiced in the rod threaded, this axial bore opening into an inclined bore opening out each of its ends by a hole, one of which is included in the threaded rod and the other is included in the first smooth portion.
  • This terminal includes also a nut having an annular collar projecting at one end.
  • the axial drilling and inclined drilling are provided to receive the electric cable feed from which the stripped end comes out through the hole in the first portion smooth then is wound on the shoulder existing between the two smooth portions, the portion of the wire thus wound being tightened by the nut between its end face set back from the collar and shoulder, the collar used to secure the tightness of the connection.
  • DE 1641786 U describes a terminal element of luminescent tube, having a closed end from which conductive wires emerge while that it is provided with means of connection to an electric power cable comprising a base attached to the closed end and a terminal connection installed in this base, this terminal comprising a metal tube part of which is threaded and the rest is engaged in the base, the wires coming out of the closed end passing through the interior of the metal tube and then through a longitudinal slot thereof to surround the threaded part at the level of the junction between the metal tube and the base, this wire being immobilized by welding or thanks to a nut cooperating with the threaded part.
  • the stripped part of the cable around the threaded part against the weld or the fixing nut while on the other side is provided, around the threaded part, a washer to sandwich the stripped part of the cable supply, the washer being capped by a passage piece threaded on the metal tube, the assembly being capped by a cap nut closing off the tube metallic and cooperating with its threaded part to effect tightening.
  • the invention aims to offer increased possibilities of arrangement of the electric cable vis-à-vis the terminal while providing excellent support quality of the end portion of the cable as well as qualities of simplicity and convenience in both manufacturing and assembly.
  • said axial section is coaxial with said threaded rod.
  • the cable can be arranged coaxially to the connection terminal and its stripped end portion can come out of the screw through the radial section of the channel and then be surrounded on the outer wall of the screw before being immobilized by tightening by means of the screw.
  • the radial section opens out out of the threaded rod through a flat.
  • This flat avoids the sharp edges which would exist at the intersection between a thread and a cylinder opening transversely, these sharp edges being likely to cut the piece of the cable leaving or re-entering the radial section.
  • the screw comprises a shoulder which borders said threaded rod and which is tangent to the part of the lateral surface of the radial section which is furthest from the free end of the threaded rod.
  • This shoulder allows to have directly on the screw of the counter surface on which the nut tightens the cable.

  • the cap 2 isolates its content from the outside, in a waterproof way, which makes it possible to protect this content from damage likely to be caused by moisture, which is a source of corrosion and electric arc.
  • Figure 8 shows the terminal element 1 and the electrical cable 3 connected to each other in a position where the cable 3 is arranged radially and not coaxially, the cap 2 being replaced by a cap 102 similar, but where the central body 21 is replaced by a central body 121.
