Abstract

Self-assembling niche is regular prismatic box (1), with window, and four sides (3) delimiting space where impervious recept (4), containing ashes, is inserted. Receptacle is secured to lid (5). Cylindrical pins (6) are placed at rear of prismatic box, are used to secure box to support (7). When support is placed on pins (18) of fixing base (16), safety panel (19) is attached to base using screws and nuts (19') as to avoid support to be removed away from pins.

Description

The present invention patent relates to a niche intended to contain and properly store the ashes corresponding to the body of a deceased or dear animal cremated essentially characterized by the special arrangement of its various components, which makes it easy to handle, self-assembling and easy to place, immediately, both as a unitary isolated element, and with other identical elements, in forming a uniform whole of remarkable beauty.

The number of people who express the wish to be cremated at the time of their death is each time greater, the ashes from this operation being kept, and they can be given to parents or they can be deposited in places specially conditioned for this.

The special characteristics of this processing require those responsible for the administration to provide areas where the ashes can be properly deposited and unequivocally, starting from the inescapable fact that the element containing these ash offers a guarantee of inviolability and total resistance to external agents.

The self-assembling niche object of the present invention provides the solution to disadvantages that were mentioned in the previous presentation because it offers people an easy-to-use element in which we can quickly place the receptacle with ashes, which can be placed in the place intended for its location, with a total guarantee of inviolability of the content and the total package, at the same time that it allows, if desired, to place several elements correlatively, duly juxtaposed, so that they occupy a minimum space while offering even a solution of remarkable beauty in design and overall.

To be able to describe in all their details the characteristics of the various elements making up the niche which is the subject of the present invention, drawings are attached to this description in which, by way of non-limiting example of the practical embodiment, a niche has been shown provided with the characteristic elements cited, so that in the rest of the description, they can be listed suitably.

In accordance with the drawings, the self-assembling niche is observed, for mortuary ash, essentially characterized in that it is composed of a closed element, in which the ashes will remain deposited and stored so adequate; a body or element for supporting and fixing the previous module, and a support and fixing base on the place where the niche will be placed, i.e. in a set funeral home for various niches, ie on a certain surface of the funeral block or assimilated.

The closed element where the remaining ashes are adequately deposited completely isolated from the outside, is formed by a regular prismatic box (1), the front surface of which offers a large opening (2), preferably rectangular and closed with a window (not shown in the figures). The interior of this box is formed by magnification walls on its four sides (3), delimiting a space in which the sealed box or receptacle (4) will be placed, containing the ashes, this box being perfectly fixed by the practicable rear cover (5) and the edges of the front opening (2).

Cylindrical pivots (6) are located at the rear of this box prismatic (1) whose purpose is to allow the placement and fixing of this box (1) on the support and fixing body (7).

These cylindrical pivots have a slight narrowing (6a) at the start so that they can stay engaged through the holes, like a keyhole, corresponding (8) that the support body (7) has on its front surface (9). These holes (8), more wide at their upper part allow entry of the pivot head (6), the most narrow (6a) of the remaining pivot engaged in the lower zone, narrower (8a) of the orifice.

The body or support and fixing element (7), also has a shape regular prismatic, and it has an opening on its front surface (9) rectangular (10), flanked by said orifices (8), for fixing the closed body (1) which contains the receptacle (4) in which the ashes remain.

The bolt lock (11) can be operated from the outside by means of a known closure of a safety lock (12), of the common and known type.

The rear surface of the support body (7) has a large opening rectangular (13), framed by a narrow rim (14), continuation of the sides and upper and lower surfaces of said support body. Holes (15) are drilled in this rim, arranged symmetrically, identical to the orifices (8) that it has on its front surface (9), the arrangement of these orifices (15) making it possible to place and fix, leaving the support body (7) perfectly secured on the fixing base (16) of the entire niche.

This fixing base (16) is rectangular and has dimensions identical to those of the rear surface of the support body (7) and it is provided with orifices (17) which allow the arrangement of studs, screws or similar which will fix it against the surface where the whole niche should be placed.

This base is also provided with emerging cylindrical pivots (18), similar to the pivots (6) that the box or closed body (1) has at its rear part, these pivots being placed so that they coincide with the orifices (15) that the support body (7) has at its rear part, all this so that this support body can be perfectly fixed on the fixing base (16), by introducing the holes on the pivots correspondents (18).

Finally, this fixing base plate (16) has a retaining element which serves to lock, consisting of a rectangular plate (19) which will be fixed to the upper part of the fixing base (16) and by the surface giving the interior of the entire niche.

When the support body (7) is placed on the pivots (18) of the base fixing (16) a safety plate (19) will be placed in its place preventing the body support is raised to be detached and separated from the pivots (18) because said plate safety (19) will abut against the upper edge of the rim (14) of the support body (7).

This plate (19) remains united to the base (16) by means of screws and nuts (19 ') respective.

The fixing base (16) can be suitably joined to the surface of the special module (20), the rest of the entire niche, support body (7), being placed and fixed and, on it, the closed box (1), forming an irremovable block. Sets will be fixed on the surface of the special module, one close to the other, in perfect continuity, the lateral surfaces of the support bodies (7) of the recesses which are located juxtaposed coinciding, touching each other, and they will be located in rows horizontal and vertical.

In a practical realization of definitive placement of a group of niches, according to Figure 5, the special module (20) is provided with support feet lateral (21), as well as a protective and ornamental drip (22).

In another practical realization of placing various niches together, according to figure 6, they are located on any free side wall (23) a normal funeral module (24), provided with corresponding stages of niches (24a). At beginning of the placement of the niches on this wall there will be concretely the fixing of the bases respective (16) on the selected area.

Summarizing what has been described before, the entire niche, in its self-assembling character, will be placed at the desired location, as well as the special module (20) than of any chosen surface, ensuring the fixing base (16) with studs or screws, immediately placing the support body (7) thereon, engaging its rear holes (17) on the cylindrical pivots (18) of the base (16) and by placing the security plate (19) which will prevent the extraction of the support body (7).

Immediately after and after having adequately located the receptacle for ash (4) inside the body or closed box (1), this box will be placed on the body support (7) by suitably engaging the cylindrical pivots (6) in the orifices (8) that this support body (7) has on its front surface, by actuating immediately the bolt lock (11) by means of the lock (12), one of the pivots cylindrical (6) remaining perfectly locked and being impossible to extract the box closed (1).

It is obvious that this niche will be applicable as well to cases of cremation of people only pets or loved ones by only changing and exclusively for that the size of the constituent elements.

In addition and to adorn the whole if possible, we can locate a sheet drawing, photo or similar on the front surface and just below the glass which is on the front opening (2), a representation which will allude to being incinerated, which will be completed by a support element (25) of flowers or the like emerging from the support body (7).

Claims (6)

Self-assembling niche for mortuary ashes, mainly characterized in that it consists of a closed prismatic box, containing its interior a hermetically sealed receptacle in which these ashes are deposited, both of people and of loved animals, an element or body of support and fixing of this box and a base of support and fixing of the whole on the place where the niche is located and all these elements offering adequate means of union between them a total self-dependence of these component elements being also intended to form a solid, closed and inviolable unit, which can be located on standing panels or on free walls of the usual modules of cemeteries. Self-assembling niche for mortuary ashes, in accordance with previous claim, characterized in that the closed element constituted by a rectangular prismatic box, offers a large front opening, preferably glazed, inside of which the receptacle containing the ash, this prismatic box being provided with cylindrical pivots which allow the easy and immediate placement and fixing of the box on the element or the body of fixation, these pivots having a narrowing at the beginning allowing engagement fast and correct on the corresponding holes of the support body, holes which are wider at the top like keyholes.
