Abstract

Self-assembling niche is regular prismatic box (1), with window, and four sides (3) delimiting space where impervious recept (4), containing ashes, is inserted. Receptacle is secured to lid (5). Cylindrical pins (6) are placed at rear of prismatic box, are used to secure box to support (7). When support is placed on pins (18) of fixing base (16), safety panel (19) is attached to base using screws and nuts (19') as to avoid support to be removed away from pins.

Description

The present invention patent relates to a niche for containing and adequately retaining ashes corresponding to the body of a deceased or expensive cremated animal essentially characterized by the special arrangement of its various components, which makes it easy to handle, self-assembling and easy to place, immediately, as well as unitary insulated element, as with other identical ones, forming a uniform set of remarkable beauty.

The number of people who express the wish to be cremated at the time of their death is each time greater, the ashes coming from this operation being preserved, and they can be given to the parents or they can be deposited in specially conditioned places for that.

The special characteristics of this treatment obliges the persons in charge of the administration to envisage zones where the ashes can be correctly and unequivocally deposited, starting from the inescapable fact that the element containing these ashes offers a guarantee of inviolability and total resistance to external agents.

The self-assembling niche object of the present invention provides the solution to the drawbacks that were cited in the previous presentation, because it offers interested persons an easy to use element, in which we can quickly dispose the receptacle with ashes, can be placed in the place intended for its location, with a total guarantee of inviolability of the content and of the total ensemble, at the same time as it allows, if desired, to place several elements correlatively, duly juxtaposed, in such a way as to they occupy a minimum space by offering even a solution of remarkable beauty of design and ensemble.

To be able to describe in all their details the characteristics of the various elements composing the niche object of the present invention, the drawings are appended to this description in which, by way of non-limiting example of the practical embodiment, a niche has been shown provided with characteristics mentioned, so that in the rest of the description they can be listed properly.

According to the drawings, the self-assembling niche is observed for mortuary ashes, essentially characterized in that it is composed of a closed element, in which the ashes will remain deposited and adequately preserved; a body or element for supporting and fixing the preceding module, and a base for support and fixation on the place where the niche will be placed, either in an exclusive funeral ensemble for various niches, or on a certain surface of the funerary block or the like .

The closed element in which the ash is properly deposited, which remains completely insulated from the outside, is formed by a regular prismatic box (1), the front surface of which has a large opening (2), preferably rectangular and closed with a window (not shown in the figures). The inside of this box is formed by walls of magnification of its four sides (3), delimiting a space in which the sealed box or receptacle (4) will be placed, containing the ashes, this box being perfectly fixed by the lid back (5) and the edges of the front opening (2).

Cylindrical pivots (6) are located at the rear part of this prismatic box (1) whose purpose is to allow the placement and attachment of this box (1) on the support body and fixing (7).

These cylindrical pivots have a slight narrowing (6a) at the beginning so that they can remain engaged through the holes, like a keyhole, corresponding (8) that the support body (7) has on its front surface (9). ). These openings (8), wider at their upper part allow the entry of the head of the pivot (6), the narrowest part (6a) of the pivot remaining engaged in the lower zone, narrower (8a) of the orifice.

The body or support and fastening element (7), also has a regular prismatic shape, and it has on its front surface (9) a rectangular opening (10), flanked by said orifices (8), for fastening the closed body ( 1) which contains the receptacle (4) in which the ashes remain.

When this body (1) remains located and fixed on the support body (7), the front opening (10) remains completely covered, at the same time as said closed body (1) is immobilized by means of a bolt closure (11) which will rely on the cylindrical pivot (6) located near it, preventing it from being able to move upwards and, consequently, by preventing the movement of the body (1) upwards and outwards pivots (6) of the orifices (8) where they are introduced.

The bolt closure (11) can be actuated from the outside by means of a known safety lock closure (12) of the common and known type.

The rear surface of the support body (7) has a large rectangular opening (13), flanked by a narrow flange (14), continuation of the sides and upper and lower surfaces of said support body. Orifices (15) are drilled in this flange, arranged symmetrically, identical to the orifices (8) that it has on its front surface (9), the arrangement of these orifices (15) for placing and fixing, leaving perfectly assured the support body (7) on the fastening base (16) of the entire niche.

This fixing base (16) is rectangular and has dimensions identical to those of the rear surface of the support body (7) and is provided with orifices (17) which will allow the arrangement of studs, screws or the like which will fix it against the surface where the entire niche must be placed.

This base is also provided with cylindrical emergent pivots (18), similar to the pivots (6) that the box or closed body (1) has at its rear part, these pivots being placed so that they coincide with the orifices (15) that the support body (7) has at its rear part, all this so that the support body can be perfectly fixed on the fixing base (16), by introducing the holes on the corresponding pins (18).

Finally, this fixing base plate (16) has a retaining element which serves to lock, consisting of a rectangular plate (19) which will be fixed to the upper part of the fixing base (16) and by the surface giving to inside the entire niche.

At the moment when the support body (7) will be placed on the pivots (18) of the fastening base (16), a safety plate (19) will be placed in its place preventing the support body from being lifted up to be detached and separated from the pivots (18) because said safety plate (19) will abut against the upper edge of the flange (14) of the support body (7).

This plate (19) remains united to the base (16) by means of screws and nuts (19 ') respectively.

The fastening base (16) can be suitably joined to the surface of the special module (20), the rest of the whole of the niche, support body (7), being placed and fixed and, on it, the closed box (1), forming an immovable block. The sets will be fixed on the surface of the special module, one near the other, in perfect continuity, the lateral surfaces of the support bodies (7) of the niches which are located juxtaposed coinciding, the ones touching each other, and they will be thus situated in horizontal and vertical rows.

In a practical embodiment of definitive placement of a group of recesses, in accordance with FIG. 5, the special module (20) is provided with lateral support legs (21), as well as a protection and ornamental drip ( 22).

In another practical embodiment of placing together various niches, according to Figure 6, they are located on any free lateral wall (23) of a normal funerary module (24), provided with corresponding floors of niches ( 24a). At the beginning of the placement of the niches on this wall there will be concretely the fixation of the respective bases (16) on the chosen zone.

Summarizing what has been described before, the whole of the niche, in its selfassembling character, will be placed at the desired place, as well of the special module (20) as of any selected surface, while ensuring the fixing base ( 16) with studs or screws, immediately placing the support body (7) on the support body (7), engaging its rear openings (17) on the cylindrical pivots (18) of the base (16) and placing the safety device (19) which will prevent the extraction of the support body (7).

Immediately after and after suitably locating the ash receptacle (4) within the closed body or box (1), this box will be placed on the support body (7) by appropriately engaging the cylindrical pivots (6). ) in the openings (8) that this support body (7) has on its front surface, by immediately actuating the bolt closure (11) by means of the lock (12), one of the cylindrical pivots (6) remaining perfectly locked and being unable to extract the closed box (1).

It is obvious that this niche will be applicable both to the incineration of people and pets familiar or loved by changing only and exclusively for that the size of the constituent elements.

Moreover and to decorate the whole if it is possible, we can locate a drawing sheet, a photo or similar on the front surface and just below the glass on the front opening (2), a representation that will allude to the being incinerated, which will be completed by a support member (25) of flowers or the like emerging from the support body (7).

Claims (6)

1. Self-assembling niche for remains of a dead body characterised in that it is constituted of a closed prismatic box (1) containing within it a sealed receptacle (4) designed to receive the said remains as well from beloved individuals as animals, a supporting and fastening element or body (7) of the said box (1) and a supporting and fastening base (16) of the assembly on the place where the niche is located, all the said elements offering suitable means for joining them to each other, a complete self-dependence of the said components being also provided for forming a strong, closed and inviolable assembly which can be located upright on panels or on free walls of the usual modules of the cemeteries.
2. Self-assembling niche for remains of a dead body according to above claim, characterised in that the closed element constituted by a rectangular prismatic box (1) offers a preferably glazed broad front opening (2), within which is located and conveniently fastened the receptacle (4) containing the remains, the said prismatic box being provided with cylindrical pivots (6) allowing to easily and quickly place and fasten the box on the fastening element or body, the said pivots having a narrowing (6a) at the beginning that allows them to be quickly and correctly engaged on related holes (8) of the supporting body, holes which are wider at their top, similar to keyholes.

Self-assembling niche for remains of dead bodies according to above claims characterised in that the supporting or fastening body (7) is rectangular prism-shaped , having a broad opening (10) on its front face, flanked by the holes (9) for fastening the box to its receptacle, so that one of the cylindrical pivots thereof, located through the related hole remains locked by the latch of the safety latch lock (12) driven from the front external part and it is then impossible to take the closed box apart from the supporting and fastening body.
4. Self-assembling niche for remains of a dead body according to the claim 3, characterised in that the supporting or fastening body (7) possesses on its rear surface a broad opening (13) framed by a rim (14) provided with holes (15) having shapes also similar to keyholes, symmetrically located allowing that the said supporting body is suitably located and fastened, in turn, on the fastening base (16) of the assembly.

Self-assembling niche for remains of dead bodies, according to above claims, characterised in that the fastening base (16) of the assembly on the place of location has a shape and sizes identical to those of the rear surface of the supporting body, being provided with holes for placing suitable fastening bolts throughout the surface and also provided with cylindrical pivots (18) having a shape identical to that the closed box possesses, allowing thus that the supporting body is perfectly fixed to it when the holes are placed on the pivots of the said base, a complementary retaining plate (19) being also provided which will be fixed on its top part and will prevent that the supporting body can be lifted and released from the base, by locking it.
6. Self-assembling niche for remains of a dead body, according to above claims, characterised in that it will be preferably jointly placed and on a special flat surface panel having supporting feet (21) and a top protecting larmier (22) on which the bases of each niche will be fixed, placing then the rest of the elements, so that they all remain juxtaposed in continuous assemblies and also in that it is possible that they are arranged on surfaces of normal funerary modules which remain free, individually or jointly.
