Dabei können die Führungswände in ihrer Geschwindigkeit an die Einlaufgeschwindigkeit des Gutstapels angepaßt werden. Gleichzeitig kann eine Steuerung so erfolgen, daß die Vorschublaschen von der Einlaufseite her den Gutstapel praktisch "einholen" und schonend von hinten an den Gutstapel heranfahren. Claims (8)
- Strapping machine for strapping a stack of products (4), in particular a stack of periodicals, by means of a strapping tape comprising- a work table (10, 11),- a strapping device (12), arranged on the work table (10, 11), with a tape guide unit (15) which is free from guide duct portions projecting upwardly from a work surface (11) of the work table (10, 11) in the conveyance path of the stack of products (4);- a conveyor for conveying the stack of products (4) through the strapping machine, said conveyor being provided with conveyor-belt-type guide walls (21) which flank the stack of products (4) on both sides in the conveyance direction (R), and with a feed plate (22) for the stack of products (4), said feed plate being mounted on each of said guide walls (21) for conveying the stack of products (4), characterized in that the conveyor is provided with a controller (42) for controlling both speed of the guide walls (21) and position of the feed plate (22) of the conveyor in such a way as to enable the conveyor to take over the stack of products (4), upon entering the conveyor, in a "flying" manner by adapting the speed of the guide walls (21) to the entry speed of the stack of products (4), and by the feed plates (22) catching up with the stack of products (4) and approaching the stack of products (4) gently from behind.
- Strapping machine according to claim 1, characterized in that each guide wall (21) comprises two return rollers (38, 39) arranged on the work table (10, 11) on an inlet side and an outlet side, an endless belt (40) placed round said return rollers (38, 39), at least one of which being driven in a defined controlled manner.
- Strapping machine according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that one single feed plate (22) is attached to each endless belt (40), the feed plates (22) being drivable by means of a controller (42) allocated to their drive (41), enabling the feed plates (22) to run in a synchronous manner.
- Strapping machine according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the guide walls (21) are mounted on the work table (10, 11) so as to be adjustable with respect to their lateral spacing (a) from one another.
- Strapping machine according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the conveyor is provided with additional conveyor belts (24) which are disposed on the working surface
- Strapping machine according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the strapping machine is a longitudinal strapping device.
- Strapping machine according to claim 6, characterized in that the longitudinal strapping device (12) comprises a tape guide duct portion (15) which is arranged above the work surface (11) and extends in the conveying direction (R).
- Strapping machine according to claim 7, characterized in that the tape guide duct portion (15) has a belt collecting and feed device (16, 16') on an entry side.
