Abstract

L'invention porte sur le décodage partiel (202) de séquences vidéo comprimées obtenues au moyen d'une transformée (par exemple TCD) pour récupérer (204) les coefficients de transformation à audiofréquence (par exemple uniquement les coefficients DC) à partir du flux binaire codé. Les coefficients à basse fréquence servent alors à produire des blocs de données d'images qui sont soumis à une addition inter-trame (206) compensée en mouvement de manière à obtenir des images partiellement décodées pouvant servir pour des processus ultérieurs tels que l'analyse d'histogrammes (208) à des fins de parsage vidéo. L'invention permet d'éviter les opérations de transformation inverse coûteuses en informatique tout en fournissant des résultats satisfaisants.
