The can shown in Fig. 2 is known per se Way from a lower part 1 for receiving the can contents and a cover 2, which in the illustrated embodiment screwed onto a thread 3 on the upper peripheral edge of the lower part 1 becomes. Instead of a thread, a Snap fit or another type of lid attachment known per se be provided.

In the illustrated embodiment is on the bottom Section of the lower part 1 on the outer circumference at diametrically opposite locations provided a flattening 4, the forms a footprint so that the can is positioned upright can be, as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 4 is.

Such a flattening 4 to form a footprint can also include the entire height of the can of the cover 2, if instead of a screw cap another type of lid attachment, for example a snap lock is provided. Likewise, a such footprint 4 only on one side on the outer circumference of the otherwise round box can be provided.

Wenn einzelne Stege 6 vorgesehen werden, können diese auch abtrennbar ausgebildet sein.3 and 5 show, the lower portion of the lower part 1 on the entire circumference of an additional wall section 5 surrounded by a radial distance from the lower part of the can 1 is arranged. The wall section 5 is approximately on half the height of the lower part 1 on a radially projecting Flange or webs 6 distributed over the circumference or molded on, and it extends vertically down to short over the outside of the bottom of the can base 1, as Fig. 5 shows more clearly. The flats 4 are on this additional Wall section 5 formed so that the lower part of the can 1 itself retains its round shape as in a conventional can. If individual webs 6 are provided, they can also be detachable.

The lower part 1 of the can is preferably made of plastic, the additional wall section 5 can be molded on, while the lid 2 is preferably made of sheet metal, but also can consist of other materials such as plastic. It is also possible, the wall section 5 with flats 4 as a separate To provide component, for example, with a press fit or snap fit on the lower part 1 of the can can.

The inner diameter of the additional wall section 5 is so designed that this is larger than the outer diameter of the with the threaded 3 upper portion of the lower part of the can 1 or essentially corresponds to this (FIG. 6), while the outer periphery of the lower portion of the can base 1 is designed slightly smaller in diameter than the upper section, so that between wall section 5 and the An annular space 7 is located on the outside of the lower can section results in that for receiving the upper, provided with the thread 3 Section of another can base 1 is suitable. So can bottom parts 1 can be stacked one above the other, as shown in Fig. 6. This stackability of the empty can bases brings significant advantages in manufacturing and the dispatch of the empty can bases and their control in an automatic bottling plant.

As shown in FIG. 6, the additional wall sections 5 come Can parts 1 to lie one above the other when stacking, whereby centering the lower parts of the can relative to each other Thread 3 abuts the inner circumference of the skirt Wall section 5 can be provided. In addition, in the Annular space 7 on the outer circumference of the lower part 1 of a can 8 (Fig. 5), on which in Fig. 6 the upper edge of the adjacent Can bottom part 1 comes to mind. hereby the stability of the stack is improved.

The double-walled design of the lower part 1 of the can can also be provided without flattening 4 to the can bases 1 to be able to stack. Conversely, a flattening or Stand area 4 also on an otherwise round box without additional Wall section 5 are provided, for example by Flattening of the can body itself Flattening provided on an additional wall section 5, as shown in the figures.

Further modifications of the invention are possible. So can the apron-shaped wall section 5 is only one Extend part of the circumference of a can base 1 to a Achieve stackability. Also, the shape of the additional Wall section 5 in a different way than shown be formed. For example, on the outer circumference of the wall section 5, corrugation or the like can be provided, so that the lower part 1 when screwing the Lid 2 can be kept better. But serve for this also the flats 4 provided as standing surfaces. Furthermore, the outer circumference of the wall section 5 can also have a polygonal shape, as shown in FIG. 9.

While otherwise in the design with flattening round box is provided, can be designed according to the invention with an apron-shaped wall section 5 am Another can shape can be provided, for example a polygonal.

An apron-shaped wall section 5 with preferably two Flattenings 4 at diametrically opposite locations can also be designed as a packaging element in such a way that a pre-formed one, for example, from cardboard or other material Wall section 5 on the lower part 1 for presentation purposes is attached to stand up a can to be able and around the lower part 1 of the can when filling and the like. easier to position while using the Can this wall section 5 can also be removed. in this connection the additional wall section also has a protective function, by protecting the lower part of the can against scratching through edges and the like protects.

Fig. 7 shows a can in side view and in cross section and separate from it a wall section 5 in the form of a separate one Ring body that can be placed on the box, like the lower ones 7 show illustrations. Here are on the inner circumference of the ring body 5, preferably elastically deformable lips 9 integrally formed, with which the ring body to bear on the circumference of the can comes.

Fig. 8 shows an embodiment of the lower part of the can with the circumference spaced lugs 10 in the contact area of the lips 9 of the ring body 5, which in the spaces between the Intervene 10. This way, a snap connection formed between the ring body 5 and the lower part of the can.

With such a snap connection, it is possible for the ring body 5 to be aligned with the can body, for example, that the footprint 4 of the label of the can lid or the like. For this it is sufficient if only a few Noses or ribs 10 are provided on the can circumference.

The provision of a separate ring body 5 on the can is attachable also has the advantage that different Embodiments of the ring body for otherwise identical cans can be used. Different customers can do this can be supplied with different container shapes by otherwise the same cans are different ring designs be put on.
