Abstract

Claims (6)

  1. An apparatus for cutting up food products such as sausage, ham, cheese and the like, with a product feed unit having a product support with a cutting edge acting as a counter-knife at an end side and having a drive unit with a knife which rotates in the cutting plane defined by the cutting edge, wherein the drive unit (3) carrying the knife (4) is pivotably supported about an axis (6) which extends perpendicular to the cutting plane, which is disposed to the side of the knife (4) and the position of which can be adjusted and members (10, 11) are provided for the vertical and lateral adjustment of the knife cutting path (5) by pivotal adjustment and/or sliding adjustment of the drive unit (3) on the machine side disposed opposite the pivot axis (6),
    characterised in that
    the pivot axis (6) is adjustable in its position in the X and Y directions by the members (10, 11); and in that a side stop (9) of the product feed unit is disposed at the pivot axis side for the products supplied along the product support and perpendicular to a cutting plane.
  2. An apparatus in accordance with claim 1, characterised in that the members (10, 11) for vertical and lateral adjustment include an electronic control and adjustment motors.
  3. An apparatus in accordance with claim 2, characterised in that the vertical and lateral adjustment can be coupled in a program-controlled manner.
  4. An apparatus in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the pivot axis (6) is arranged in a carrier-lever unit (7) which is pivotably supported parallel to the cutting plane in the machine frame (12).
  5. An apparatus in accordance with any one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised in that an orbitally rotating circular knife is provided as the knife (4).
  6. An apparatus in accordance with any one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised in that a crescent-shaped knife is provided as the knife (4).
