Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren wird die Verpackung aus zwei Zuschnitten gefertigt, nämlich einem Innenteil-Zuschnitt und einem Mantel-Zuschnitt. Zunächst wird der Innenteil aus dem relativ einfach geformten Innenteil-Zuschnitt um einen Formatkörper gelegt, dann zu einem Innenteil gefaltet bzw. geformt und anschließend zusammengeklebt, wobei ein Ende des Innenteils offen bleibt, um in einem späteren Schritt den Formatkörper wieder zu entfernen. Vorzugsweise wird der Innenteil sofort nach dem Verkleben von dem Formatkörper abgezogen und in einen Formathohlkörper geschoben, so daß der Innenteil nun mit seinem Inhalt gefüllt werden kann, also beispielsweise mit Cigaretten. Im Anschluß daran wird der Innenteil vollständig geschlossen und wieder aus dem Formathohlkörper herausgezogen. Diese Möglichkeit bietet den Vorteil, daß der Inhalt bzw. das Produkt, das sich jetzt in dem verschlossenen Innenteil befindet, die Funktion eines Formatkörpers übernimmt. Nun wird der ebenfalls sehr einfach geformte Mantel-Zuschnitt um den Innenteil herumgelegt und verklebt. Der bevorzugte Verfahrensschritt, den Innenteil schon frühzeitig von dem Formatkörper abzuziehen und diesen durch das zu verpackende Produkt zu ersetzen, hat den Vorteil, daß der Innenteil schon jetzt verschlossen werden kann, was bei Weiterbenutzung des Formatkörpers nicht der Fall ist, und daß das verpackte Produkt zusammen mit dem Innenteil einen stabilen Formatkörper bildet, um den der Mantel-Zuschnitt geformt werden kann. Da bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren sehr viel weniger Knick- und Klebevorgänge erforderlich sind, können die Verpackungen sehr viel schneller gefertigt werden.
