    1. A filter cigarette
      a) with a tobacco strand enclosed by a cigarette paper having a diameter of 5 - 7 mm,
      b) with a smoke yield of at most 1 mg condensate,
      c) with a tobacco-side filter element having a relative retention of > 90 %,
      d) with a mouth-side filter element having a relative retention of < 10 %,
      e) with a ventilation zone, running in the circumferential direction, in the filter casing paper and also in the coating paper connecting the filter and tobacco strand, the ventilation zone being situated in the mouth-side filter element and being spaced from the tobacco-side filter element by at least 1 mm,
