Zum Querschnitt durch eine Kammer (rechte Hälfte):
Bezugszeichen 2 zeigt eine Kammer. Diese wird gebildet aus einem Teil der Grundfläche 9, einer den Kurbelwellenraum 10 begrenzenden Wand 19 sowie einer Abdeckung 20, welche die Kammer 2 gegenüber der Atmosphäre abdichtet. Hierbei kann die Kammer 2 einen in sich geschlossenen Ölvorratsraum darstellen. Alternativ können auch mehrere Kammern 2 einer Seite miteinander verbunden sein und einen gemeinsamen Ölvorratsraum bilden. Mit Bezugszeichen 21 ist eine derartige Öffnung zu einer weiteren Kammer 2 dargestellt. Innerhalb des Ölvorratsraumes, Kammern 2, befinden sich die Ölpumpen. Die Abdeckung 20 ist mittragend und Teil des Steifigkeitskonzepts. Bezugszeichen 23 zeigt ein Ladeluftsammelrohr, welches zumindest teilweise integraler Bestandteil des Kurbelgehäuses 1 ist.
Zum Querschnitt durch eine Querwand (linke Hälfte):
Mit Bezugszeichen 3 ist die Querwand dargestellt. Diese ist einstückig mit dem Kurbelgehäuse 1 ausgeführt. Die Querwand 3 dient zur Erhöhung der Steifigkeit des Kurbelgehäuses 1 sowie zur Bildung der Kammern 2. Bei dieser Darstellung wurde die Abdeckung 20 weggelassen. Mit Bezugszeichen 6 ist eine Lagerbrücke dargestellt. Diese ist mit dem Kurbelgehäuse 1 sowohl aus Richtung der Grundfläche 9 als auch aus Richtung der Seitenfläche mittels Schrauben 11 befestigt. Diese Querverschraubung, also von den Seitenfläche aus, ist hierbei bis auf die Außenkante B der Querwand 3 herausgezogen. Als Vorteil hierdurch ergibt sich ein großes Losdrehmoment aufgrund der großen Schraubenlänge. Als weiterer Vorteil ergibt sich die Druckvorspannung des Gehäuses und eine verbesserte Ableitung der Kräfte auf die gesamte Kastenstruktur. Im Bereich des Kurbenwellenraums 10 ist das Kurbelgehäuse 1 mittels eines Bodendeckels 12 verschlossen. Der Bodendeckel 12 trägt mit zur Steifigkeit des Kurbelgehäuses 1 bei. Auf diesem Bodendeckel 12 ist ein zusätzlicher Ölvorratsraum 13 angeordnet. Wie man in Figur 4 sieht, ist das Kurbelgehäuse 1 quaderförmig mit rechteckigem Querschnitt ausgeführt. Die Grundseite 15 des Kurbelgehäuses 1 entspricht näherungsweise der seitlichen Ausladung (maximalen Motorbreite) im Bereich der Zylinderköpfe 16, also der Strecke AA.

Claims (12)
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) für eine Brennkraftmaschine in V-Anordnung,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Kurbelgehäuse (1) quaderförmig mit rechteckigem Querschnitt ausgeführt ist, hierbei die Grundseite (15) des Quaders näherungsweise der seitlichen Ausladung im Bereich der Zylinderköpfe (16) entspricht, das Kurbelgehäuse (1) wenigstens eine Kammer (2) aufweist, diese von der Längsseite des Kurbelgehäuses (1) in das Innere des Kurbelgehäuse (1) weist und die Kammer (2) aus den beiden Stirnwänden (17, 18) , einem Teil der Grundfläche (9) und einer den Kurbelwellenraum (10) begrenzenden Wand (19) gebildet wird. - Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auf jeder Längsseite des Kurbelgehäuses (1) eine Kammer (2) angeordnet ist.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auf einer Längsseite mehrere Kammern (2) angeordnet sind, die Kammern (2) voneinander durch jeweils eine Querwand (3) getrennt sind und die Querwand (3) einstückig mit dem Kurbelgehäuse (1) ausgeführt ist.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in den Kammern (2) Hilfsaggregate, Wärmetauscher, Filter und Ölvorratsräume angeordnet sind.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Hilfsaggregate insbesondere Pumpen und die Ölvorratsräume in den Kammern (2) auf einer Seite des Kurbelgehäuses (1) angeordnet sind bzw. die Wärmetauscher und Filter in den Kammern (2) der anderen Seite des Kurbelgehäuses (1) angeordnet sind.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Kammer (2) in sich einen geschlossenen Ölvorratsraum darstellt oder daß mehrere Kammern (2) miteinander verbunden sind und einen gemeinsamen Ölvorratsraum bilden.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kammern (2) gegenüber der Atmosphäre über eine Abdeckung (20) verschlossen sind.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Grundfläche (9) des Kurbelgehäuses im Bereich des Kurbelwellenraumes (10) über ein Bodendeckel (12) mit integriertem Ölvorratsraum (13) verschlossen wird.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jede Stirnwand (17, 18) im Bereich der Grundfläche (9) des Kurbelgehäuses (1) einen Querriegel (4, 5) aufweist.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Querriegel (4, 5) unlösbar mit dem Kurbelgehäuse (1) verbunden ist.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im Kurbelwellenraum 10) mehrere Lagerbrücken (6) zur Lagerung einer Kurbelwelle angeordnet sind und die Lagerbrücken (6) mittels Schrauben (11) von der Längsseite und von der Grundfläche des Kurbelgehäuses (1) aus befestigt sind.
- Kurbelgehäuse (1) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Ladeluft-Sammelrohr (23) zumindest teilweise integraler Bestandteil des Kurbelgehäuses (1) ist.
