Apparatus for fixing a plug by driving the plug by a driving piston, including a detachable magazine (2) for supplying plugs, intended to contain a strip of plug reception rings, a plug guide (3) and a block (4) for shearing the strip of plug reception rings arranged to receive a plug with it ring from the magazine and the driving piston to shear the strip by driving the plug, characterised by the fact that the shearing block (4) is functionally in one piece, with a lower part (9) and an upper part (10) permanently rigidly attached one to the other.
  2. Apparatus as described in claim 1, in which the shearing block (4) and the plug supply magazine (2) are arranged to co-operate by fitting of a skirt (11), providing a plug supply passage (12), in a housing (16) for reception of the skirt (11).
  3. Apparatus as described in claim 2, in which the skirt (11) and its reception housing (16) are shaped for the fitting of one into the other to take place with clearance.
  4. Apparatus as described in one of claims 1 to 3, in which the skirt (11) is rigidly attached to the shearing block (4).
  5. Apparatus as described in one of claims 1 to 4, in which snap-fit means are provided for fixing the plug supply magazine (2) to the apparatus.
  6. Apparatus as described in claim 5, in which the snap-fit means comprise a shoulder (26a), supported by a shaft (21) mounted on return means (28), intended to co-operate with a groove (41) for reception of the shoulder (26a), extended by at least one finger (42, 43) for thrusting and locking the shoulder (26a).
  7. Apparatus as described in claim 6, in which means (32, 34) are provided to prevent the shaft (21) being driven in displacement in order to lock the shoulder (26a) in the reception groove (41).
  8. Apparatus as described in one of claims 1 to 7, in which a cradle (14) is provided for reception of a rear end part of the shearing block (4).
  9. Apparatus as described in one of claims 1 to 8, in which the plug guide (3) is mounted slidingly relative to the shearing block (4).
