- the load carrier of the jack according to EP-0 340 551-B1 is specially designed for use on vehicles whose Body in those areas where the jack should be applied with one in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle extending and pointing downward web is, namely the so-called sill seam web. Therefore points the load carrier of this jack in its upper area a groove, which opens upwards, from the Top of the load carrier extends down and for the Recording of the sill seam web is provided.
- This well-known jack is therefore also suitable for Handling inexperienced people, of course, how to position the jack on the vehicle body, namely so that the sill seam engages in said groove.
- the present invention is concerned with jacks of another type, namely those whose load carriers are from below against a seamless body attachment area is, and in such a case one can handle jacks Inexperienced person easily lift the jack in a wrong way Starting position, which is then the risk brings that jack when lifting the vehicle slips and / or the vehicle body is damaged.
- the top of the load carrier is more or less educated, at least when looking at the Load carrier in the direction of the second transverse axis, d. H. in the direction the axis around which the load carrier is lifted of the vehicle pivoted relative to the jack arm or in a direction perpendicular to this.
- the E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG now has a jack of the type mentioned in the introduction, in which the load carrier one with the bearing approaches for one pivoting mounting of the load carrier on the support arm, as well as with the channel for the passage of the threaded spindle Lower part and one that can be placed against the body from below Has upper part, which with the load carrier lower part one parallel to the second transverse axis and above the latter extending third transverse axis is pivotally connected.

- a steel wire spring is arranged, through which the unloaded Load carrier top always in that of his two End positions is pivoted in when the jack is on the body of the vehicle to be lifted is attached,
- the top of the load carrier upper part is not yet loaded (seen in the direction of its pivot axis) with the Axis of the jack screw spindle is relatively forms a small angle, the tip of which is towards the crank handle Threaded spindle end has - this angle is approximately 15 °.
- the invention was based on the object of this known Jack from E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG to improve that at least one of the two shown above Risks can be avoided.
- the invention also proposes a solution to the problem that the user of the jack due to the inclination of the Top of the one in its end position Load carrier upper part is tempted to the jack incorrectly set (so that it can slip off) if at intact wheels and unladen vehicle a wheel to be replaced.
- Embodiments are preferred in which in the starting position the top of the load carrier its top - in Direction of the third transverse axis or seen perpendicular to it - One with the axis of the channel of the lower part of the load carrier such angle forms that when putting on the not yet loaded Load carrier upper part against the body attachment area of an unladen vehicle with intact wheels the top of the load carrier top approximately parallel to Body attachment area runs.
- the spring is now proposed to form one of the load carrier parts and this load carrier part to be designed as a plastic injection molded part. Then can neither the described rattling noises occur, nor must the spring is manufactured and assembled separately; Moreover the spring is attached absolutely captive.
- one of the two springs on one could Load carrier part and the other spring on the other load carrier part be provided for manufacturing and assembly reasons however, preferred embodiments in which both Springs are attached to the same load carrier part.
- the spring or springs could be bow-shaped and fixed on both sides to one of the load carrier parts be, especially with regard to the manufacture of the Load carrier, however, it is more advantageous if each spring than a one-sided spring tongue is formed, which - in the top view of the load carrier - across Pivot axis of the upper part of the load carrier extends.
- both Springs are attached to the lower part of the load carrier and at least with the top part of the load carrier unloaded against its underside issue.
- This not only has manufacturing and assembly advantages, but also leads to a particularly stable starting position of the upper part of the load carrier.
- the latter applies especially for embodiments in which the two springs - in Seen in the direction of the pivot axis of the upper part of the load carrier - form a flat, upward opening V, in particular then when the two springs - towards this Seen pivot axis - approximately from the circumference of the bearing pins stretch tangentially.
- a jack of the type mentioned with a two-part Load carrier the upper part of which can be pivoted on the lower part of the load carrier is articulated from DE-196 25 281-A1 E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG emerges; just like that Vehicle jack according to EP-0 340 551-B1 also relates to the DE-196 25 281-A1 expressly only includes jacks for Start in the area of a sill seam so that the swiveling load carrier upper part an opening upwards Has groove for the engagement of the sill seam web.
- Fig. 1 shows such a jack in one Side view and in a state after the support arm has already been swung up over part of its stroke.
- Fig. 1 The known jack shown in Fig. 1 is in the following can only be described to the extent that this is for understanding the basic structure and the function of such Jack is required for which the invention Load carrier is provided.
- the jack shown in Fig. 1 has a pedestal 10, a support arm 12, a load carrier 14, a threaded spindle 16, a hinged to this crank 20 and one attached to the lower end of the pedestal 10, angled Base plate 22 on.

Description
The invention relates to a jack with a load carrier and with a pedestal that can be placed on the floor, this is attached to a first transverse axis, two side walls having support arm, one of the pivoting of the support arm Serving threaded spindle, for those in the area of the upper Stand column end a first axial bearing and on the support arm in the Distance from the first transverse axis a second thrust bearing is provided, as well as with a hand crank on the column side End of the threaded spindle, the one on a body attachable load carriers in its lower area each side a storage approach for storing the Load carrier in openings in the support arm side walls such that the load carrier relative to the support arm about a to the first transverse axis parallel second transverse axis is pivotable, and a Channel for the passage of the threaded spindle and for the controlled one Swiveling the load carrier around by the threaded spindle has the second transverse axis.
Such a jack is in EP-0 340 551-B1 E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG described in detail and illustrated and the content of this document should also be the subject of the present Scripture.
Under a load carrier, the one above and below Part or that assembly of the jack understood which or which are attached to the vehicle body the lifting load and this in the support arm of the jack initiates.
The load carrier of the jack according to EP-0 340 551-B1 is specially designed for use on vehicles whose Body in those areas where the jack should be applied with one in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle extending and pointing downward web is, namely the so-called sill seam web. Therefore points the load carrier of this jack in its upper area a groove, which opens upwards, from the Top of the load carrier extends down and for the Recording of the sill seam web is provided. Using This well-known jack is therefore also suitable for Handling inexperienced people, of course, how to position the jack on the vehicle body, namely so that the sill seam engages in said groove.
However, the present invention is concerned with jacks of another type, namely those whose load carriers are from below against a seamless body attachment area is, and in such a case one can handle jacks Inexperienced person easily lift the jack in a wrong way Starting position, which is then the risk brings that jack when lifting the vehicle slips and / or the vehicle body is damaged. at such jacks, the top of the load carrier is more or less educated, at least when looking at the Load carrier in the direction of the second transverse axis, d. H. in the direction the axis around which the load carrier is lifted of the vehicle pivoted relative to the jack arm or in a direction perpendicular to this.
For jacks to be attached in the area of a sill seam web, whose load carriers have a groove for inserting the sill seam web it is relatively unproblematic if the one to be supported by the jack load carrier Body area and the one to be placed against this body area Top of the load carrier when placing the jack and / or relative to each other in the course of the lifting process are or are tilted (in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle or in Seen in the direction of the cross axles of the jack) because thanks engaging the sill seam web in the load carrier groove slipping of the load carrier is excluded. Such Slip protection is however with jacks with a Load carrier, the top of which can be placed against a seamless Body attachment area is designed, not given, so that with such jacks it is crucial that that they are properly lifted to the body of the Vehicle.
Die Firma E.A. The E.A. In this known jack are the top and bottom of the Load carrier pivotally connected to each other via two joints, the hinge axes coinciding with the third transverse axis and each joint has one attached to the lower part of the load carrier and from this laterally protruding bearing journal as well as a bearing cheek arranged on the side of the load carrier upper part with a bearing opening for snapping onto the relevant one Has journal. The load carrier upper part including the two bearing cheeks and the lower part of the load carrier together with the both journals are each made as one-piece plastic injection molded parts designed, and that in the two cheeks The proposed storage openings are designed as open at the bottom Openings formed, in such a way that the Load carrier upper part from above onto the load carrier lower part can snap on, with elastic expansion of the extending downward from the actual storage openings Slits of the bearing cheeks; after snapping on the The upper part of the load carrier is the bearing journal of the lower part of the load carrier in said storage openings. Upper and lower part of the load carrier are provided with stops which the Swiveling of the upper part of the load carrier relative to the lower part of the load carrier limit, d. H. two end positions of the Define the upper part of the load carrier. The top of the load carrier top is for placing against a seamless body attachment area designed, d. H. the load carrier upper part does not have a groove for inserting a sill seam web. Between the upper part of the load carrier and the lower part of the load carrier a steel wire spring is arranged, through which the unloaded Load carrier top always in that of his two End positions is pivoted in when the jack is on the body of the vehicle to be lifted is attached, However, the top of the load carrier upper part is not yet loaded (seen in the direction of its pivot axis) with the Axis of the jack screw spindle is relatively forms a small angle, the tip of which is towards the crank handle Threaded spindle end has - this angle is approximately 15 °. This ensures that the top of the still not loaded load carrier upper part when attaching the Jack at least approximately parallel to the body attachment area runs if a defective impeller (with flat foot) to be replaced while changing the vehicle as shown in such cases often occur, relatively heavily loaded is, in this context it should be pointed out must be that a jack is always for a very specific vehicle is constructed. Broken tires come however these days hardly ever before, so the most common case of use a jack changing a wheel when changing from summer tires on winter tires or vice versa, and then takes place the wheel change, of course, when the vehicle is not loaded. For but this case has been caused by the spring and inclination of the upper part of the load carrier defined by the stops of the well-known car jack proved to be unfavorable because the so inclined load carrier upper part the user of the jack tempted to put the jack wrong, so that he can slip when lifting the vehicle. It also has It has been shown that the load carrier upper part in this known jack Disengage on one or even both trunnions can if the load carrier is one-sided in the course of the lifting process which is never completely excluded can be - since the jack is always in the neighborhood of the wheel to be replaced is the vehicle body in the course of the lifting process not only around the vehicle's longitudinal axis tilted, but also around the vehicle's transverse axis.
The invention was based on the object of this known Jack from E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG to improve that at least one of the two shown above Risks can be avoided.
Starting from a load carrier of the type mentioned at the beginning, which one with the storage approaches for storage on Support arm and with the channel for the passage of the threaded spindle provided lower part and a from below against the Has body attachable upper part, which with the Load carrier lower part via two joints around one to the second Transverse axis parallel and above the latter third transverse axis is pivotally connected, the hinge axes coincide with the third transverse axis and each Articulated one attached to a load carrier part and from this laterally protruding bearing journal and one on the other Load carrier part with a cheek attached to the side Has bearing opening for snapping onto the journal, lets according to the invention there is a risk of the load carrier upper part disengaging thereby avoid that the bearing cheeks in Direction of the articulated axes and their elastic Bearing openings are formed as openings with a closed edge are and that the trunnions and / or the bearing cheeks at their free ends with such inclined to the hinge axis End faces or inner surfaces are provided that the bearing openings with elastic deflection of the Snap the bearing cheeks onto the bearing journals. Different to in the known jack described above E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG can then create one in the course of One-sided loading of the upper part of the load carrier occurs during the lifting process do not cause one of the bearing openings and the associated bearing journal (transverse to the axial direction of the bearing journal) be separated from each other.
In principle, it would be possible to mount the bearing cheeks on the lower part of the load carrier and attach the journals to the upper part of the load carrier, so that the upper part of the load carrier is the lower part of the load carrier can overlap laterally from above, but it is more advantageous to design the construction so that the bearing cheeks are attached to the upper part of the load carrier and as a result those defined by the journal end faces Levels run up to each other to the top of the load carrier to be able to snap on from above.
The invention also proposes a solution to the problem that the user of the jack due to the inclination of the Top of the one in its end position Load carrier upper part is tempted to the jack incorrectly set (so that it can slip off) if at intact wheels and unladen vehicle a wheel to be replaced.
Starting from a jack of the type mentioned at the beginning, whose load carrier one with the storage approaches for storage on the support arm and the channel for the passage of the threaded spindle provided lower part and a from below against the Has body attachable upper part, which with the Load carrier lower part around a parallel to the second transverse axis as well as the third transverse axis running above the latter is pivotally connected and pivoted between two end positions can be, as well as with a between load carrier upper part and load carrier lower part arranged spring for Swiveling or holding the unloaded upper part of the load carrier This can be done in a starting position or in an upper part Solve the problem according to the invention in that the spring is designed that the upper part starting position between the two end positions of the upper part of the load carrier and as a result, the top of the unloaded load carrier upper part a lower incline when the jack is applied has than in the known above Jack from E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG - in particular then the inclination of the top of the load carrier upper part with respect to the axis of that provided in the lower part of the load carrier Channel only be a maximum of approx. 13 °.
Embodiments are preferred in which in the starting position the top of the load carrier its top - in Direction of the third transverse axis or seen perpendicular to it - One with the axis of the channel of the lower part of the load carrier such angle forms that when putting on the not yet loaded Load carrier upper part against the body attachment area of an unladen vehicle with intact wheels the top of the load carrier top approximately parallel to Body attachment area runs.
In the known jack described above E.A. As already mentioned, Storz GmbH & Co. KG exists the spring acting on the upper part of the load carrier Steel wire, it is between the upper part of the load carrier and - Lower part inserted and bent so that it is under cannot detach from the load carrier under normal circumstances. If so for example, the top part of the load carrier as a stamped and bent part made of sheet steel could be one Steel wire spring undesirable when the vehicle is moving Rattling noises in the trunk receiving the jack to lead. The spring is therefore proposed according to the invention to design as plastic leather, which is also the possibility of Achievement of another advantage opened: With the known Jack from E.A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG must Steel wire spring manufactured and assembled as a separate part become; According to the invention, the spring is now proposed to form one of the load carrier parts and this load carrier part to be designed as a plastic injection molded part. Then can neither the described rattling noises occur, nor must the spring is manufactured and assembled separately; Moreover the spring is attached absolutely captive.
Basically, it would be if both were designed accordingly Load carrier parts and the spring possible with a single Spring to get the unloaded load carrier upper part in its starting position between its two end positions to keep. Functionally more reliable and easier to manufacture however, are embodiments with two each other opposite swiveling movements of the upper part of the load carrier effecting springs, which are designed and arranged so that the unloaded upper part of the load carrier with respect to the lower part of the load carrier his for attaching the jack ideal starting position.
In this case, one of the two springs on one could Load carrier part and the other spring on the other load carrier part be provided for manufacturing and assembly reasons however, preferred embodiments in which both Springs are attached to the same load carrier part.
The spring or springs could be bow-shaped and fixed on both sides to one of the load carrier parts be, especially with regard to the manufacture of the Load carrier, however, it is more advantageous if each spring than a one-sided spring tongue is formed, which - in the top view of the load carrier - across Pivot axis of the upper part of the load carrier extends.
In embodiments with two designed as spring tongues Springs are recommended in embodiments in which both Springs are attached to the lower part of the load carrier and at least with the top part of the load carrier unloaded against its underside issue. This not only has manufacturing and assembly advantages, but also leads to a particularly stable starting position of the upper part of the load carrier. The latter applies especially for embodiments in which the two springs - in Seen in the direction of the pivot axis of the upper part of the load carrier - form a flat, upward opening V, in particular then when the two springs - towards this Seen pivot axis - approximately from the circumference of the bearing pins stretch tangentially.
If only made use of that part of the invention should be through an optimal alignment of the top of the upper part of the load carrier is guaranteed the linkage of the upper part of the load carrier to the lower part of the load carrier effecting journal by a single, continuous Bolts can be replaced or by two peg-like Parts that in the bearing openings of a load carrier part and one through hole or two blind holes of the other Load carrier part used and by press fit on one Load carrier part are held.
Finally, for the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that a jack of the type mentioned with a two-part Load carrier, the upper part of which can be pivoted on the lower part of the load carrier is articulated from DE-196 25 281-A1 E.A.

In
Fig. 1 dargestellten Tragarms 12 eingreifen, wobei dann gegebenenfalls

72 erfindungsgemäß zwei Federzungen 84 und 86 angespritzt;
ungefähr in entgegengesetzte Richtungen. As can be seen in FIGS. 3 - 5 and 6, the

The load carrier
Rib-shaped regions of the
Andererseits sind die Federzungen 84 und 86 so angeordnet,
daß auch diese mit Unterseitenbereichen 94 des Lastträger-Oberteils
74 zusammenwirken, d. h. gegen solche Unterseitenbereiche

in unbelastetem Zustand, d. h. in seiner Ausgangsstellung,
und läßt auch den Winkel β erkennen. Es wird nun auch verständlich,
weshalb die Federzungen 84 und 86 unterschiedlich
geneigt sind.On the other hand, the
Articulated around load carrier

It is also considered to be within the scope of the present invention to consider, the claimed and described load carrier at least in one of the ways described below modify:
After the load carrier over a swiveling load carrier upper part the lower part of the load carrier on the support arm could also fixed, but in any case be attached so that it cannot be pivoted; therefore the lower part of the load carrier does not necessarily have to be included Storage approaches and / or with a channel for passage the threaded spindle.
In principle, those provided on a load carrier part could Bearing cheeks also spread with a suitable tool be so that on an oblique course of the journal end faces could be dispensed with.
After all, it would also be possible instead of sloping faces to be provided on the bearing journals, the inside of the bearing cheeks bevel accordingly to make it easy to snap on one load carrier part to the other load carrier part enable.
