Abstract

Bei einem Hohlprofil od. dgl. Werkstück aus einer Metallegierung mit Eckbereiche bildenden Stirn- und Seitenwänden unterschiedlicher Dicke, das durch in seinem Profilraum mittels eines strömbaren Wirkmedium erzeugten Innenhochdruck behandelt wird, schließt an die dickere Wandung der die Ecke bildenden Paarung aus Stirnwand und Seitenwand ein von der Ecke ausgehender Endabschnitt der dünneren Wandung an, dessen Dicke jener der dickeren Wandung etwa entspricht. Die Länge des Endabschnittes der dünneren Wandung beträgt etwa 10 bis 30 mm, bevorzugt 12 bis 20 mm, und die Dicke des Endabschnittes ist konstant; letzterer geht an einer Innenstufe in den dünneren Bereich der dünneren Wandung über.
