Description

The present invention relates to a body protection / support device for arrangement on a body part with a in a receptacle molded body filling from individual moldings.

A body protection / support device of the type mentioned is out known from DE 296 11 929 U1. The known device points in one a molded body filling designed as a film bag from individual elastic molded bodies and is used for integration into So-called protectors, which are used to protect against sports injuries Shin guards, elbow guards, protective helmets etc. used become.

In the known device, the intended protective effect can only through the combination with the one designed as a separate component Protector can be achieved, in contrast to the flexible plastic bag is designed as an impact-resistant plastic shell.

The present invention has for its object a body protection / support device propose one versus the known Features one-piece training.

This task is carried out by a body protection / support facility with the Features of claim 1 solved.

In the device according to the invention is in terms of their Stiffness differentiates trained receptacle that at known device achieved by an additional component, supporting "Shell function" implemented almost integrally in the receptacle. A body protection / support device can therefore be proposed for the first time the desired protective function without the need the combination of the receptacle with another component, namely the protector shell. This not only becomes essential Improvement in the cost-effective production of a such protective device, but also the Reliability of such devices in the event of stress increases because the existing problem with the known protective devices Even in the event of a load, there is a securely adhering connection between the outer Protector shell and the receptacle in the case of the invention Protective device is omitted.

In a preferred embodiment of the body protection / support device is proposed to achieve the differentiated stiffness between the outer part facing the load side and the inner part facing the body part, the outer part and the Inner part of the receptacle continuously merging into one another form a common carrier material and the outer part and the inner part to form the different stiffnesses to provide different material additives and / or a carrier material to be used in the area of the outer part and in the area of the Has undergone different material treatment on the inside.

So it is possible, for example, in the outer part of the receptacle certain area of the carrier material this mechanically reinforcing Materials, such as glass, carbon, aramid fibers, natural fibers, insert synthetic fibers, also in the form of fabrics, and the area of the carrier material intended for the inner part in the original state to leave. It is also possible to have different material stiffnesses in the area of the outer part and the inner part of the receptacle to achieve that the appropriate areas are subjected to different thermal loads.

In a further preferred embodiment of the body protection / support device are the outer part and the inner part of the receptacle made of different materials.

It is particularly advantageous here to form the outer part and of the inner part to use at least two layers of material for Formation of the receptacle in a transition area with each other are connected.

There is a connection between the layers of material in the transition area integral connection, such as an adhesive or welded connection, as particularly advantageous.

Particularly good results in terms of resilient and low Effortable cohesive connection of the material layers in the transition area by means of a so-called "thermobond connection" attainable, with the overlapping edge areas of the Material layers are pressed against each other under the influence of temperature.

A particularly advantageous and in terms of their protective effect and Resilience of an outer, separate protector shell equivalent Integration of the shell function in the receptacle is possible if at least the outer part of the receiving shell as a molded part with a dimensionally stable wall is formed.

It is also possible to use both the outer part and the inner part to provide a dimensionally stable wall, the inner part to allow a shape adjustment to the part of the body to be covered with it compared to the outer part of the receptacle preferably less is dimensionally stable.

One with regard to the desired body protection function and from the point of view of comfort particularly advantageous embodiment of the body protection / support device is achieved when the outer part is dimensionally stable Has wall and the inner part with a resilient Wall is provided.

To ensure a good fit on the cover, usually a spherical one The body protection / support device can reach the body part with surface be designed so that the outer part and the inner part form an overall cup-like receptacle.

It has been shown to cover special areas of the body or parts of the body also a total formed by the outer part and the inner part annular design of the receptacle as advantageous. this applies especially when the body protection / support device is used to be used on a person's knee or head. About that In addition, the ring-shaped design of the receptacle offers special advantageous ventilation options that further increase comfort increase.

An embodiment that is particularly advantageous in terms of further increase in comfort as well as the impact adaptation of the inner part to reduce external loads Contour of the body part to be covered, is made possible when at resilient design of the inner part in the interior of the receptacle a vacuum, i.e. a relative to the ambient pressure Vacuum, is present. There are different ways to create this vacuum Possibilities available, especially with arrangement one of the check valve penetrating the check valve Vacuum before or when putting on the body protection / support device can be generated by the person wearing it. In some cases it may also be sufficient to vent the Receiving case interior when putting on the body protection / support device to ensure an adaptation of the inner part to the contour of the body part to be covered without the achieved shape of the molded body filling frozen by a vacuum would have to be relieved only by ventilation Adjustment is made possible and after the adjustment has been made again Ventilation is possible. The presence of a vacuum or creation a vacuum when applying the body protection / support device however, the benefit on comfort that when putting on or putting on the device one away from the body part directed force is generated, which adapts the inner part to the Body part allows much more comfortable.

In a particularly advantageous manner, the body protection / support device used as a support rail device on a body part become. The protective function is less important with this type of use as the support function in the foreground, for example for splinting a broken bone or to support a joint. The rigid, supporting structure of the outer part then takes over the actual support rail function, and the compliant Design of the inner part facing the affected part of the body assumes the function of a by adapting to the body contour Padding or a more even introduction of the by supporting outer part pressure force introduced into the body part.

Use of the has also proven to be particularly advantageous Body protection / support device as a head protection device. This can namely not only on a separate, as described in detail at the beginning and protector shell connected to the actual receptacle to achieve a simplified structure, but is moreover by integrating the protector shell function into the The outer part of the receptacle is particularly lightweight a head protection device possible. This beneficial effect leaves increase even further that for use as a head protection device the above-described annular formation of the Receiving sleeve is selected.

1 shows a body protection / support device in one embodiment as a head protection device 10, which is shown to explain the arrangement on the head of a person wearing the head protection device 10 arranged on a head. The head protection device 10 shown in FIG. 1 is by its nature a lightweight bicycle helmet with an overall annular receiving sleeve 11 which has an inner part 12 and an outer part 13.

2 , which shows the receiving sleeve 11 with a receiving sleeve cross section 21 in a sectional view, the inner part 12 and the outer part 13 each consist of a material layer 14 or 15 cut according to the intended ring shape of the receiving sleeve 11 1 and 2 , the material layer 15 forming the outer part 13 in the outward-facing region of the receptacle 11, which comes into obstacle contact when the person wearing the head protection device 10 falls. The outer part 13 formed by the material layer 15 is formed as a molded part with a dimensionally stable wall 16, whereas the inwardly directed material layer 14, which comes into contact with the head of the person wearing the head protection device 10, forms a wall 17 which has a more flexible shape than the material layer 15 which, in the present case, can also be flexible and enables a snug contact between the wall 17 and the head.

Like the outer part 13, the inner part 12 is also in the present case Molded part.

In an inner space 18 of the receptacle 11, which is delimited by the outer part 13 and the inner part 12, there is a molded body filling 19 composed of individual molded bodies 20, which in the present case can be moved relative to one another in the inner space 18. that desired damping effects can be achieved by means of the molded bodies 20 when compression of the receiving sleeve cross section 21 shown in FIG. 2 occurs as a result of a shock load 22 striking the outer part 13 of the receiving sleeve 11 and the molded bodies are supported on one another. For example, the molded bodies 20 can be formed from polysterol, polyethylene, polypropylene, more or less elastically, and also from plastic or rather unyielding materials, in the latter case the damping effects being brought about essentially by the relative movement of the molded bodies 20 with respect to one another.

For the material layers 14 and 15, material types can in principle same type can be used as long as the desired different Rigidity of the walls 16 and 17 can be achieved. For example, for the material layer 15 of the outer part 13 Hard PVC material and for the material layer 14 of the inner part 12 Soft PVC material can be used. Polyurethanes can also be used, where the differentiated stiffness between the inner part and Outer part achieved, for example, via different material thicknesses can be.

As is also clear from FIG. 2 , the material layers 14, 15, which form the inner part 12 and the outer part 13, are flange-like in each case in outer and inner edge regions 23, 24, and 25, 26, respectively, to form transition regions 27, 28 connected with each other. In the present case, the transfer areas 27, 28 are produced in a thermal bonding process which is part of a thermal molding process for forming the overall molded part formed by the inner part 12 and the outer part 13 and during the formation of the inner part and the outer part by pressing the molded part halves together in the parting plane two-part form. Such a method, in which two layers of material are thermally connected to one another during the shaping to form a one-piece overall molded part in the mold parting plane, is known in technical terms under the term "twin-sheet" molding method.

FIG. 3 serves to explain an alternative to the head protection device 10 shown in FIG. 2 , designed as a head protection device 29, the outer part 13 being formed from a dimensionally stable material layer 15, which, as already explained in detail, in accordance with the head protection device 10 shown in FIG. 2 , is used to implement the shell function integrated in the receptacle 11. In contrast to the head protection device 10 shown in FIG. 2 , the head protection device 29 according to FIG. 3, however, has a flexible, flexible material layer 30 for forming the inner part 12. In the transition area 27 between an edge area 23 of the inner material layer 30 and the edge area 25 of the outer material layer 13 there is a non-return valve device 31 at one point, which enables the interior 18 of the receiving sleeve 11 to be vented. This venting can take place automatically when the head protection device 29 is placed on the head, with the form-flexible, here flexibly designed material layer 30 evading in the direction of the outer material layer 15 forming the outer part 13. The check valve device 31 has a handle 32 which is connected to a valve body 33 and, contrary to the action of a valve spring 34, enables the interior 18 to be vented in cooperation with elastic restoring forces of the material layer 30.

FIG. 4 shows a body protection / support device in use as a support rail device 35, with a multiple arrangement of support elements 36, 37, 38 and 39 in the present case. The individual support elements 36 to 39 are of the same type in the present case and corresponding to the body protection / support device shown as head protection device 10 shown in FIG. 2 , have a receiving sleeve 40 formed from two layers of material 14, 15, which in the case of application of the body protection / support device shown in FIG. 4 essentially has an elongated pillow format, in accordance with the embodiment of the receiving sleeve 11 shown in FIG. 2 in the case of the left-hand support element 36 in FIG to the body part ends material layer 14 is provided. As with the receiving sleeve 11 shown in FIG. 2 , the receiving sleeve 40 is filled with shaped bodies 20 which are chosen with regard to their elastic or plastic properties so that the desired conformity is achieved with the least possible impairment of the support effect by the outer material layer 15.

In a departure from the left support element 36, the support element 39 on the right in FIG. 4 has an evacuable receiving sleeve 41, which is provided with a check valve device 31 in accordance with the embodiment of the head protection device 10 shown in FIG. 3 . The evacuable design of the support element 39 enables uniform compression of the molded bodies 20 arranged in an interior space 42, so that the transfer of the support effect of the dimensionally stable outer material layer 15 to the body part can take place more directly and effectively.

4 , it is possible to assemble the support rail device 35 both from non-evacuable support elements and from evacuable support elements in order to form the most favorable configuration of the support rail device 35 for the given application. It can be used in areas of the body part that need to be supported to a lesser extent than other, non-evacuable support elements.

As is also clear from FIG. 4 , in the support rail device 35 the individual support elements 36 to 39 are arranged in a mechanical connection, which in the present case is produced by Velcro strips 43, 44. For secure positioning of the support elements, these can be connected at least partially to foot straps 45 which are carried out under the foot and connect the support elements to one another.

The receiving sleeves 40 and 41 used to form the support elements 36 to 39 in FIG. 4 can be filled with moldings 20 and, with appropriate dimensioning, can also serve as mattresses (not shown here), as can be used, for example, for decubitus prophylaxis. Here, the conformity of the material layer 14, which is obtained with or without vacuum, serves to adapt to the patient's body lying on the mattress. The dimensionally stable material layer 50 forms an outer, dimensionally stable frame, which makes the provision of a dimensionally dimensionally stable frame for receiving the mattress superfluous. Thus, even in the embodiment as a mattress, the integration of the stiffening "shell function" in a material layer enables a significant advantage over known solutions.
