Abstract

The leg protector for dangerous sports consists of a cylinder (1) with a domed top surface, made of leather or plastics sheet material, packed with two or more layers of resilient balls (2, 3) intended to absorb quite heavy impacts, and made of synthetic material. The pressure inside the lower layer is less than the pressure inside the upper layer(s) of balls, and they may be attached to one another by adhesive, or remain free. These balls are filled with air. The size of the cylinder may enable it to protect the knee, the ankle.

   Die Erfindung betrifft einen Beinschutz für Sportler. Er dient zum Schutz der Beine der Sportler, vor allem der Knöchel, Schienbeine und Knie.



   Wie bekannt, wird der Schutz dieser Stellen gegen Schläge mit Bandagen und verschiedenen starren Schutzmitteln erreicht. Auf diese Weise kann man jedoch den Schlagdruck nicht genügend abschwächen, weil der Schlag ungedämpft auf die unter dem Schutz liegende Stelle übertragen wird.



   Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zu Grunde, einen Schlagschutz herzustellen, welcher einen Schlag besser dämpft als die bisher bekannten Schlagschutzmittel.



   Erfindungsgemäss wird dies durch eine biegsame Hülle ereicht, die luftgefüllte elastische Bällchen aus synthetischem Material ganz umschliesst.



   Im folgenden wird der erfindungsgemässe Beinschutz anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels näher erläutert.



   Fig. 1 zeigt die Innenansicht eines erfindungsgemässen Beinschutzes.



   Fig. 2 zeigt eine Draufsicht des Beinschutzes.



   Fig. 3 zeigt einen Querschnitt gemäss der Schnittlinie A-A.



   Der Beinschutz besteht aus einer biegsamen Hülle 1 aus Leder oder einem synthetischen Material und aus luftgefüllten elastischen Bällchen 2 und 3 aus elastischem synthetischem Material. Die Hülle umschliesst die Bällchen.



   Der Druck in den Bällchen 3 ist niedriger als in den Bällchen 2. Dadurch kann sich der Schlagschutz jeder Form anpassen. Die Bällchen können frei oder zusammengeklebt sein.



   Die aneinanderliegenden Bällchen nehmen einen Teil der Schlagenergie durch Erhöhung ihres Innendruckes auf, wodurch die Schlagwirkung auf den darunterliegenden Körperteil abgeschwächt wird. Im Moment der Entlastung kehrt der Schlagschutz wieder in seinen Normalzustand zurück.

 

   PATENTANSPRUCH



   Beinschutz für Sportler, gekennzeichnet durch eine biegsame Hülle, die luftgefüllte elastische Bällchen aus synthetischem Material ganz umschliesst.



   UNTERANSPRÜCHE
1. Beinschutz nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Bällchen mehrschichtig übereinander angeordnet sind.



   2. Beinschutz nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Bällchen einschichtig nebeneinander angeordnet sind.



   3. Beinschutz nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein unterschiedlicher Druck in den Bällchen besteht.



   4. Beinschutz nach Patentanspruch und Unteranspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die biegsame Hülle aus gummielastischem Material besteht.

   The invention relates to leg protection for athletes. It is used to protect the legs of the athlete, especially the ankles, shins and knees.



   As is known, the protection of these places against blows is achieved with bandages and various rigid protective means. In this way, however, the impact pressure cannot be weakened sufficiently because the impact is transmitted undamped to the point under the protection.



   The invention is based on the object of producing an impact protection device which dampens an impact better than the previously known impact protection means.



   According to the invention, this is achieved by a flexible cover that completely encloses air-filled, elastic balls made of synthetic material.



   The leg protection according to the invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment.



   Fig. 1 shows the inside view of a leg protection according to the invention.



   Fig. 2 shows a top view of the leg protector.



   Fig. 3 shows a cross section according to the section line A-A.



   The leg protection consists of a flexible cover 1 made of leather or a synthetic material and of air-filled elastic balls 2 and 3 made of elastic synthetic material. The shell encloses the balls.



   The pressure in the balls 3 is lower than in the balls 2. This means that the impact protection can adapt to any shape. The balls can be free or glued together.



   The balls lying next to each other absorb part of the impact energy by increasing their internal pressure, which weakens the impact on the part of the body below. At the moment of relief, the impact protection returns to its normal state.
