Description

The invention relates to an electrical connector with a first Part with contact elements arranged in it and connectable to lines a second part corresponding to the contact elements of the first part arranged and trained contact elements, these Contact elements, for example, designed as contact pins and / or contact sockets and the contact elements when the plug connection is made abut each other and the two parts against arbitrary separation are lockable against each other and for locking a stored in one part Wire spring with at least one by moving the parts deflectable leg is provided for producing the plug connection, which both in a plane parallel to the direction of movement of the parts for manufacture the plug-in connection as well as being deflectable transversely thereto.

Plug connections for different purposes are known, in which the one another connected parts can be locked together by locking springs are. Without claiming to be complete, reference is made to the known Device for determining an electrical or electronic component with a housing according to EP 0 727 850 A or essentially the same content DE 195 04 821 C2, the holder for a solenoid according to the US 5 025 682 or the connecting coupling according to US 3 753 582. The used here Springs are deflected transversely to the direction in which those to be connected Parts are moved to create the desired connector. If the parts to be connected are completely plugged together, they snap into place transversely deflected tongue in a groove and thus forms a bolt that the arbitrary Disconnection of the connected parts is prevented. Are those to be connected Parts are not put together completely, so not only is the connection insufficient, neither can the spring perform its locking function. With electrical Plug connections used within monitoring circuits and that are difficult or impossible to access after they have been installed in a system an insufficiently established connection can have fatal consequences.

From JP 10-189145A, an electrical connector is also known which the plug parts are in turn automatically disconnected, if the plug connection forming parts are not sufficient with each other to achieve an optimal Contact should be put together and the connector is not locked. A U-shaped wire spring is provided for this purpose, whose two lateral legs also have S-shaped compressible sections exhibit. When the two parts of the plug are pushed into one another the two lateral legs are compressed and also the two lateral legs Thigh connecting legs compressed. Then the front is arched End of the U-shaped spring deflected upwards and over a U-shaped spring compressing stop surface on the other connector part raised. As a result, the U-shaped spring can release its locking position by removing its compression in which it engages behind a shoulder on the other connector part. The disadvantage of this connector is that the connector is relatively large in height and in its axial longitudinal extent is a reduction the connector in the axial direction are in particular by the required space for the U-shaped spring, which is sufficiently compressible must have limits in the axial direction. With some Applications, however, is that available for a connector Space extremely limited.

The object of the invention is to provide a connector of the type mentioned to provide which has a small height and a small extent in the axial Direction. According to the invention, this is achieved with a plug connection of the type mentioned and according to claim 1, characterized in that the leg of the freely projecting Wire springs is formed, the free end of the leg on a guide skid of the the wire spring receiving part abuts and upon deflection of the Leg by a sliding movement of the parts to make the connector is slidable along this guide skid, this guide skid has a first section which is parallel to the direction of displacement of the parts runs, and an adjoining section with an outward Sloping face.

The freely projecting spring wire allows a relatively wide displacement in the axial direction Direction of the plug with a small expansion of the spring even in this axial direction. By using the cantilever Spring wire in connection with a guide skid also results in a low overall height of the connector. The connector draws is also characterized by a simple design.

The first part 1 of the plug connection, which has the contact sockets (not shown) is formed here as a flat cuboid, one of which is narrow End face 2, the openings 3 for receiving the contact pins 4 of the other part 5 of the connector are recessed. On the contact sockets not shown here of part 1, lines 6 are connected. On the wide side surfaces 7 of this first part 1 projections or cams are formed, which as Carrier 8 serve.

The other part 5 of the connector here has a base leg 9 in which the contact pins 4 lying in one plane are fixed. This base leg 9 is part of a circumferentially closed frame, the base leg 9 opposite legs 10 has an opening 11 which with respect to their Size and its circumferential contour corresponds to the cross section of the first part 1, wherein the named cross section of part 1 is related to a plane that the Carrier 8 includes. These drivers 8 on part 1 are arranged off-center, to ensure that the two parts 1 and 5 only in one predetermined relative position can be put together (Encoding). The aforementioned opening 11 of one leg 10 of the circumferentially closed Frame has continuous grooves 12 for receiving the driver 8. Of the other two legs 13 and 18 of the circumferentially closed Frame has one leg 13 an upwardly open, pocket-like Recess 14 in which the windings of a wire spring 15 are located in turn has two cantilevered legs 16 and 17 which extend across the Part 5 extend and with their free ends on the other leg 18 of the circumferentially closed frame. This leg 18 is as a guide skid formed for the ends of the two legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 This guide skid has an upper first section 19, each parallel to the direction of movement of parts 1 and 5 of the connector and a adjoining lower second section 20, which is designed as a wedge bevel is, the lateral deflection H of this wedge bevel (Fig. 8) is larger than the height h of the driver of part 1. The width B of the top, the opening 11 leg 10 of the circumferentially closed frame is dimensioned so that the legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 on its underside under tension. There are also lead wires on the contact pins 4 connected. The legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 are shaped and designed so that they are both at the bottom of the leg 10 with the opening 11 as well as on the leg 18, which is designed as a guide skid, under tension issue.

So much for the construction of parts 1 and 5 forming the plug connection to 14 now show the individual steps in making the connector: 10 illustrates the insertion of part 1 into the opening 11 of the part 5. The drivers 8 are still outside the frame leg 10. Then drive the driver 8 into the grooves 12 of the opening 11, their in End of insertion leading end now on legs 16 and 17 the wire spring 15 abut (Fig. 11), since these legs 16 and 17 the cross-sectional openings cross the grooves 12. When inserting part 1 again (Fig. 12 and 13) now press the leading end faces of the driver 8 biased legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 down. These thighs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 initially move down, in a plane that is parallel to the direction of movement of parts 1 and 5, this under Contact the upper section 20 of the leg designed as a guide skid 18. As soon as the ends of the legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 as Wedge-shaped section 20 have reached (Fig. 13), at further joining parts 1 and 5 of legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 not only further down, but also pressed transversely outwards, and until the end of the section with the wedge bevel 20 the legs 16 and 17 have experienced a transverse deflection, the larger is the height h of the driver 8, so that the under tension Snap legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring back up and in turn Put on the underside of the leg 10 of part 5 and the driver 8 reach behind (Fig. 14). This is the optimal contact between parts 1 and 5 of the connector, and moreover the connector now locked.

Fig. 11). Would in the manufacture of the connector that acting on parts 1 and 5 If the pushing force is released before the lock is reached, that is enough exerted by the legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 on the driver 8 Force to separate parts 1 and 5 from each other (see. Fig. 11). So that becomes a Chance contact reliably prevented. The locking via the legs 16 and 17 of the wire spring 15 and the driver 8 of a part 1 of the connector is designed in such a way that it can only be lifted with relatively great effort Plug connections of this type are referred to as Go-Nogo plug connections. The connector described and shown here is also there can be used successfully where parts 1 and 5 of the connector have different cross-sectional shapes own as shown here for example. Such cross-sectional shapes can be round or polygonal. It is important that a preloaded spring exerts a counterforce on the parts to be connected until the optimal one Contact is ensured. Before ensuring this optimal contact is the preloaded spring to separate the parts. is reached the optimal contact, this spring also has the task of to lock parts connected to each other in order to prevent unwanted and to prevent arbitrary separation of the parts. Depending on training and preload the wire spring (15) is the effort for unlocking and releasing the Plug connection of different sizes. The wire spring can be configured in this way, for example and be biased so that the connector only with reference of tools can be released and unlocked or in such a way that the release and unlocking is possible without tools.
