Die in Figur 1 lediglich schematisch dargestellte Maschine der angemeldeten Art dient zur Bearbeitung von sogenanntem Zigarettenschuß in Form von aus dem Herstellungsprozeß ausgesonderten Zigaretten, indem Schnitttabak vom vorhandenen Filter- und Papiermaterial getrennt wird.
Die Maschine ist mit einem Beschickungsschacht 1 versehen, welcher unterseitig durch ein Transportband 2 begrenzt ist, das mit seinem Abgabeende in einen Sichtschacht 3 mündet, dessen oberes Ende an eine pneumatische Förderleitung 4 angeschlossen ist.
Gleichzeitig mündet das Transportband 2 über dem Eingang eines schräg abwärts führenden Leitkanals 6, der als überdachte, seitlich geschlossene Rutsche bzw. als mit einem Deckel versehener Kasten ausgebildet ist und in dessen Eingangsbereich bodenseitig außerdem eine Blasluftleitung 7 einmündet, die über ein Gebläse 8 mit Blasluft versorgt wird.
Der Leitkanal 6 mündet innerhalb eines als Ausrichterschale dienenden Drehtellers 9, wobei der Leitkanal 6 gemäß den Figuren 2, 3 mit einem in Drehrichtung (Pfeil 11) des Drehtellers 9 gekrümmten Kanalabschnitt 12 über dem Tellerboden mit einem Abstand vor der Umfangswand 9 endet.
Ein den Außenrand des Drehtellers 6 umschlingendes umlaufendes Förderband 13 wird auf nicht dargestellte bekannte, z. B. in der US-PS 3 255 762 offenbarte Weise über eine vertikale Antriebswelle angetrieben, wobei der Drehteller 6 eine Umlenkrolle bildet und eine weitere Umlenkrolle 14 auf einer vertikalen Achse lose drehbar ist. Das Förderband 13 ist - wie ebenfalls in der US-PS offenbart - zwischen dem Drehteller 6 und der Umlenkrolle 14 um 180° verdreht, so daß es an der in Figur 1 mit A bezeichneten Auftrennstelle etwa horizontal läuft.
Über dem im Bereich der Auftrennstelle A horizontal verlaufenden, unterseitig abgestützten Teil des Förderbandes 13 sind zwei an ihren gezahnten Aufreißkanten kämmende Auftrennscheiben 16, 17 vorgesehen.
Unterhalb eines Auslaufkanals 18 des Drehtellers 9 erstreckt sich ein Rüttelsieb 19, in welches mittig eine mit entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn angetriebenen Schlägerwalzen 21 ausgestattete stationäre Löseeinrichtung 22 integriert ist.
Unterhalb eines Abgabeendes des Rüttelsiebes 19 ist ein Sammelbehälter 23 angeordnet.
Unterhalb der Siebstrecke des Rüttelsiebes 19 erstreckt sich ein abförderndes Sammelband 24.

Die Wirkungsweise der Vorrichtung ist wie folgt:
Durch den Beschickungsschacht 1 gelangt der durch Pfeile gekennzeichnete Zigarettenschuß auf das Transportband 2, welches die Zigaretten durch den Sichtschacht 3 in den Leitkanal 6 überführt. Loser Tabak, Papierschnitzel, einzelne Belagblättchen und ähnliches werden vorher durch den Sichtschacht 3 pneumatisch abgesondert und auf den hinteren Teil des Rüttelsiebes 19 befördert.
Infolge der über das Gebläse 8 mit hoher Geschwindigkeit in den Leitkanal 6 einströmenden Luft werden die zugeführten Zigaretten derart beschleunigt, daß sie sich durch die Strömungsführung der Luft an der gekrümmten Wand des Kanalabschnitts 12 ausrichten. Beim Verlassen des Leitkanals 6 werden die ausgerichteten Zigaretten mit hoher Geschwindigkeit direkt an den äußeren Rand des Drehtellers 9 befördert, wo sie durch das umlaufende Förderband 13 quasi als Endlosstrang den Auftrennscheiben 16, 17 zugeführt und von diesen aufgetrennt werden.
Die aufgetrennten Zigaretten gelangen durch den Auslaufkanal 18 auf das Rüttelsieb 19, durch das der Hauptanteil des losen Tabaks sofort auf das Sammelband 24 fällt. Zur Nachsichtung wird das Papier- und Filtermaterial unter den Schlägerwalzen 21 der Löseeinrichtung 22 hindurchgeführt, auf dem hinteren Teil des Rüttelsiebes 19 nachgesiebt und anschließend in den Sammelbehälter 23 transportiert.
