Abstract

An indoor unit for air-conditioners, wherein a casing (l0) comprises a flat and parallelopipedal body (11), and a bulging portion (13) continuous from a bottom section of the body (11), a front surface of the bulging portion (13) comprising an inclined surface (14) extending downward from a front side of the casing (10) to a rear side thereof, the inclined surface (14) of the bulging portion (13) having a suction port (41) in the inclined surface (14) thereof, the body (11) having a front outlet (43) in a front surface thereof, and side outlets (44) in each side surface thereof, an air passage formed in the interior of the casing (10) and extending from the suction port (4l) to the outlets (43, 44) being provided therein with a centrifugal fan for sucking the room air from a lower portion thereof and discharging the same from side portions thereof, and a heat exchanger for generating conditioned air.
