Definitions

  • the invention is concerned with the formation of acoustic walls, in particular with such baffles that can be used for public address at major events.
  • EP 0 847 670 B1 a display screen containing a speaker. On a frame of the display screen, are suspended on the bending waves radiating sandwich-like layers in the form of a panel, more panels are attached to the sound radiation. To produce a desired resonance spectrum of a panel is in EP 0 847 670 B caused that a bending wave generating driver must be at a predetermined position of the baffle of the panel.
  • Unwanted low-frequency resonances can be combined with the in EP 0 847 670 B1 only insufficiently suppress the described arrangement.
  • the features of the preamble of claim 1 are known from this document.
  • the invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a public address system for major events, which can be adapted and set up very easily and without great effort to the respective requirements and i.ü. characterized by a captivating low-frequency reproduction.
  • the respective baffle has at least one segment from which sound waves are emitted from the playback plane of the baffle, a very compact, space-saving and easy arrangement for sound transmission is created, which not only the area or space requirement on the size of the baffle reduced, but by the juxtaposition of further baffles arbitrarily expandable and adaptable to the prevailing conditions. Also, with the inventive baffles an outstanding low-frequency reproduction is possible, since formed as bass plates segments can radiate easily at an edge length of about 2.30 m frequencies near the audible limit with considerable sound pressure.
  • the various segments of a baffle can be used not only as so-called field radiators optimized for a delimited frequency range. Rather, causes the coupled connection of the various segments and the targeted use of appropriate fasteners that the connecting elements provide a mechanical filter or act in this way and at the same time support and supplement their effects by the mutual influence between the segments thus given.
  • the realization of a coupled connection between the segments is particularly simple according to claim 3 if the segments consist of a core layer and at least one cover layer.
  • the respective connection between the segments can be realized by means of the cover layer (s) and / or the core layer by the respective cover layer and / or the core layer also bridging the radial distances between adjacent segments.
  • the use of the core layer as a connection between a plurality of segments is of particular advantage because in this case the different segments can be formed very easily by segmenting the respective core layer by means of corresponding cutouts and weakened by the cutouts regions of the core layer as coupled connections be used.
  • a further optimization of the sound reproduction is given if, according to claim 6, the sound reproduction segments of a baffle which are optimized for the reproduction of specific frequency ranges have a different depth at right angles to the reproduction plane.
  • the bass reproduction is particularly good when the respective bass segment has a very small depth compared to the middle or high tone segments.
  • the respective Schallabstrahlsegment is provided with at least one incision which reduces the depth of the core layer transversely to its surface normal area by area, the low-frequency resonances of such Schallabstrahlsegments be split into a plurality of weaker, mutually detuned resonances, which simultaneously the natural frequency density and the resonance density increase.
  • the application of these cuts is not restricted to the application within a baffle comprising a plurality of sound emission segments, but can also be implemented in individually positioned sound emission segments.
  • baffles according to the invention Due to the substantially flat or slightly curved design of directed in the direction of the listening room reproduction levels of the baffles according to the invention surfaces are provided, which can be marketed by appropriate design, for example in the form of imprints as an advertising medium.
  • FIG. 1 a baffle 10 is shown, which is formed from a plurality of segments 11.
  • the reproduction plane 30 formed by the segments 11 and pointing in the direction of the interception space 31 is provided with an optically perceivable design 12 in the form of an advertising imprint.
  • each Schallabstrahlsegement 11 is formed as Schallabstrahlsegement 11.
  • This embodiment is particularly lightweight and has only a small depth relative to the surface normal.
  • the respective sound emission segments 11 ' are provided, for example, with electrodynamic transducers which cause bending waves in accordance with the control in the sound emission segments 11'. Further details can be found in the above-named font.
  • baffle 10 shown there is completely flat. But this is not a commitment to this design. Rather, in another exemplary embodiment, the baffle 10 or its reproduction plane 30 may be at least partially convex or concave relative to a fixed point 31 'assumed in the listening room 31.
  • baffle 10 is provided with Schallabstahlsegmenten 11 ', in another -not shown- embodiment in the baffle 10 and segments 11 may be integrated, which are not formed as Schallabstrahlsegmente 11'.
  • Such (blind) segments 11 can be used for attachment and support of the projection walls 10 at the respective site.
  • FIG. 2 is also shown as a second embodiment, a baffle 10, whose entire segments 11 are formed as Schallabstrahlsegmente 11 '. Deviating from the execution according to FIG. 1 but have the Schallabstrahlsegmente 11 'according to FIG. 2 differently sized surface expansions in the reproduction plane 30.
  • the largest sound emission segment 11 ' is arranged in the central region of the baffle 10.
  • This sound reproduction segment 11 ' is designed to be optimized for the reproduction of low-frequency sound events.
  • 16 of the baffle 10 is in each case a row of six Schallabstahlsegementen 11 'placed, which each have the smallest surface area in the playback level 30 and are used for the radiation of high-frequency sound events.
  • a respective Schallabstrahlsegment 11 ' is provided, which has a lying between the just called Schallabstrahlsegmenten 11' surface area and is used to reproduce medium-frequency sound events.
  • the bass reproduction does not necessarily have to be limited to a sound emitting segment 11 'arranged in the middle of the baffle 10. Rather, in another embodiment (not shown) for reproducing low-frequency tones, the middle region of a baffle 10 or even the entire baffle may be provided with a plurality of sound emission segments 11 'that are not necessarily symmetrically arranged.
  • FIG. 3a shows two juxtaposed core layers 13, wherein between the core layers 13 is a mutual distance A.
  • the two surfaces of the two shown core layers 13, which each have the largest surface area, are each connected to a cover layer 14. Since the upper and lower cover layers 14 for both in Fig. 3a shown segments 11 (11 ') is formed as a common cover layer 14, of these cover layers 14 at the same time the two segments 11 (11') separating Distance A covered.
  • the two cover layers 14 have a small distance from the respective surfaces of the core layers 13 for a better representation of the conditions.
  • FIG. 3b For example, two core layers 13 are shown, each already provided with one or two cover layers 14 (in FIG. 3b not shown) are provided. To cover the distance between these segments 11 (11 ') existing distance A and for producing a coupled connection two strips 19 are provided, which are glued to cover the distance A with the cover layers 14 of the core layers 13, for example.
  • the two can in FIG. 3b shown strips 19 for connection of the two segments 11 (11 ') also directly, that are glued to the core layers 13 before applying the cover layers 14.
  • the two cover layers 14 also -as already in connection with Fig. 3a explained for both core layers 13 are formed continuously, so that then the respective connection between the two segments 11 (11 ') consists of a strip 19 and a strip 19 covering the cover layer 14.
  • the strips 19 may also be embedded in the core layers 13 in cut-outs (not shown) adapted to the thickness of the strips 19.
  • the embodiment according to Figure 3c differs from the design according to FIG. 3b only in that the narrow sides 21 of the two core layers 13 are additionally connected to a connecting element 20.
  • the strips 19 not only have the function of producing a uniform surface configuration between two segments 11 (11 '), but also determine by the cooperation with the connecting element 20 about the degree of desired coupling between the two segments 11 (11 ').
  • FIG. 3e shows a further embodiment of a connection between two (dummy) segments 11 and Schallabstrahlsegmenten 11 '.
  • the two core layers 13 are provided on both sides with cover films 14.
  • one of the cover layers 14 has a region 14' projecting beyond the narrow sides 21 of the core layer 13.
  • These projecting regions 14 'of the cover layers 14 can -as in FIG FIG. 3e shown for making a connection between two segments 11 (11 ') are used by the supernatant region 14' of the one segment 11 (11 ') with the cover layer 14 of the other segment 11 (11') is connected.
  • 3e formed segments 11 (11 ') are, are that from the core layer 13 and cover layers 14 formed segments 11 (11') can be easily pre-produced in large quantities and connected by means of the protruding portions 14 'with little effort. If, for optical or acoustic reasons, the connection between two segments 11 (11 ') on both sides of the distance A is to be formed, the respective segment 11 (11') can also be provided with two projecting regions 14 '. The latter is shown in dashed lines for the right segment 11 (11 ').
  • connection with in Fig. 3a to 3e illustrated embodiments should also be pointed out that the connections shown between two segments 11 (11 ') should be at least then schallunduchin when one of the so attached segments 11 (11') with a Schallabstrahlsegment 11 'is connected, which is used for low-frequency reproduction. Because only by a soundproof connection ensures that acoustic short circuits are avoided.
  • FIG. 4 the rear view of a baffle 10 formed from three Schallabstrahlsegmenten 11 'is shown. It can clearly be seen from this illustration that the different sound emitting segments 11 'are next to a different and already in connection with FIG. 2 surface extent explained also have a depth of different sizes at right angles to the playback plane 30 of the baffle 10 may have. This different depth of the different Schallabstrahlsegmente 11 'is used to optimize the sound reproduction of certain areas of the baffle 10. Werden -wie in FIG. 4 shown - the different Schallabstrahlsegmente 11 'combined so that the different depths of Schallabstrahlsegmente 11' only affect the back of the baffle 10, the remains in FIG. 4 invisible front surface of the baffle 10 as a profile-free reproduction level 30 obtained.
  • the individual Schallabstrahlsegmente 11 ' are also provided with cuts 32 in order to split low-frequency resonances in a variety of weaker, mutually detuned resonances.
  • Such an incision is at the central segment 11 'in FIG Fig. 4 shown.
  • the Fig. 4 shown incision 32 is not limited to the shape illustrated there, but may be formed in other embodiments according to the respective needs also wedge or staircase-shaped.
