Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for providing Securing elements for electronic article surveillance.
- Securing elements are usually on a silicone-coated carrier tape glued, in roll form commercially available. In the department stores they are from Personnel by means of a labeling device or simply manually protective article applied, a process that is undoubtedly time and is expensive.
- Source tagging means that a fuse element automatically in during the manufacturing or packaging process the article or integrated into its packaging. Can be removed securing element fastened in this way to an article or packaging only by destroying or damaging the item or packaging.
- the method according to the invention and the securing element provided thereby are particularly good for an application in the field of source tagging suitable.
- the securing elements are glued to a carrier tape during the Manufacturing process and also subsequently during the application process indispensable to move the security elements from one processing station to the next to transport.
- a method of making deactivatable Strip security elements for electronic article security is e.g. in the DE 4238145 A described.
- Adhesive layer on the back of the fuse elements is extremely annoying once the fuse element in the material of the corresponding Article or in its packaging, for example in a blister pack or a shrink film to be integrated.
- the adhesive prevents in many use cases an intimate connection between article or Packaging material and securing element.
- a carrier tape is known, on which means in any arrangement an adhesive layer securing elements are fixed.
- the adhesive force of the adhesive on the carrier tape is not greater than the adhesive force on the securing element.
- the object of the invention is to achieve this underlying a method of providing Securing elements propose that are best suited for source tagging.
- the securing elements in any Arrangement can be fixed on a carrier tape by means of an adhesive, the Adhesive force of the adhesive on the carrier tape is greater than the adhesive force on the securing elements that the carrier tape to a processing or Delivery station is performed and that the security elements in the Processing or preparation station lifted from the carrier tape and are arranged on or in an article to be secured or for a Further processing can be provided, with the adhesive on the carrier tape remains.
- further processing e.g. sealing the securing element by Adhesive layer is not affected. This application is going to later explained separately.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the thin film security elements usually be deactivated.
- the nickel foil glued on. Deactivation takes place during saturation magnetization the nickel foil, whereby a reaction of the activatable material of the sputter film on the alternating field of the surveillance system is prevented.
- An advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention suggests before that in the case of a punching of the material layer on gap (die-cut) lattice-shaped waste material around the sections with securing elements or around the fuse elements are pulled around.
- the securing elements are provided be arranged in a continuous layer of material or that with the Fuse elements a continuous layer of material is formed, the material layer is arranged on the carrier tape that the material layer in such a way is punched out that the punched out sections containing the securing elements (sections with securing elements) or the securing elements directly next to each other lie, and that then the sections with securing elements or the Securing elements are glued to another carrier tape so that they are on Gap to be arranged to each other.
- This method is somewhat more complex than punching out gaps, but saves some material.
- An embodiment of the method according to the invention provides for sealing the Securing elements before that the front of the material layer with a Coating is sealed that the sealed front of the material layer is glued to another carrier tape, the adhesive force of the adhesive on the other Carrier tape is greater than the adhesive force on the coated front of the Material layer that the material layer according to the desired shape of the sections with fuse elements or the fuse elements is punched, and that the back (now the front) of the material layer with another coating is sealed.
- the result of these process steps is a carrier tape on which the front and Sealed securing elements are fixed on the back. Will the Securing elements lifted from the carrier tape, in turn, remains Adhesive layer on the carrier tape and therefore does not interfere with the subsequent one Source integration of the security elements in the articles to be secured or their packaging.
- the front of the material layer is punched into a gap and, after peeling off latticed waste material, sealed with a coating, then the sealed front of the material layer is glued onto another carrier tape, wherein the adhesive force of the adhesive on the further carrier tape is greater than that Adhesive force on the sealed front of the material layer, and then the backside the punched material layer sealed with another coating.
- the sealed sections with the securing elements or the Securing elements sent to a station for further processing.
- a station for further processing.
- the security elements in the Articles or integrated in their packaging it is e.g. to a station that the security elements in the Articles or integrated in their packaging.
- the securing elements at least in the area of their front and the back sealed with a chemically resistant coating.
- a securing element in a plastic bag is known from EP-A-0 701 233.
- this fuse element is not sealed with a chemically resistant coating.
- the securing elements on all sides with a chemically resistant coating can be sealed.
- This embodiment of the invention is Desirable as soon as the securing element with food or the skin comes into contact. Furthermore, it is achieved that the metals of the Securing element during chemical cleaning processes is not wash out.
- the security element can be a thin-film security element trade with or without a deactivator.
- Securing elements are described for the first time in EP 0 295 028.
- the method according to the invention can also be applied to all apply other known security elements, i.e. strip security elements, Resonance frequency fuse elements or acustomagnetic Securing elements.
- Strip securing elements are e.g. in the already mentioned DE 42 38 145 A2.
- Resonance frequency fuse elements are from EP 0 594 714 known.
- the material layer 3 comprises a carrier film 5, onto which a thin film material 6 is sputtered, and a deactivation layer 8, which adheres to the thin film material 6 by means of an adhesive layer 7.
- the deactivation layer 8 is, for example, a perforated foil made of nickel.
- the material layer 3 is attached to the carrier tape 1 by means of an adhesive layer 4.
- the adhesive used has the property that the adhesive force between the adhesive layer 4 and the carrier tape 1 is greater than the adhesive force between the adhesive layer 4 and the material layer 3.
- FIG. 1b is a top view of the sections with securing elements 2 according to FIG Fig. 1a to see.
- stamping the material layer 3 are the individual Sections with securing elements 2 at a certain distance or on Gap 11 arranged to each other. A lattice-shaped waste material has already been created away.
- FIG. 1c shows a longitudinal section of the embodiment of FIG. 1b Securing elements according to the invention 2.
- 1d shows an alternative form of punching the material layer 3 shown: here are the individual sections with securing elements 2 arranged directly next to each other (butt-cut).
- FIG. 2a to 2e show schematic representations of the individual Method steps for sealing the securing element according to the invention 2.
- Fig. 2a is identical to Fig. 1c, i.e. the punched sections with Fuse elements 2 are described in detail above
- Adhesive layer 4 arranged on the carrier tape 1 on gap 11. Subsequently is - as can be seen from Fig. 2b - on the front of the on the carrier tape 1st arranged sections with securing elements 2 a chemically resistant Coating 10 applied. This coating 10 also fills the gaps 11 out.
- the over-chemically resistant coating 10 material layer 3 connected and sealed at the front, which contains individual sections with securing elements 2, from the carrier tape 1 lifted off and with the sealed front onto another carrier tape 1 ' upset. Due to the adhesive properties of the adhesive used the back of the sections is adhesive free. In a further step the Back of the sections sealed with another coating 9.
- the sealed composite material that the Contains sections with securing elements 2 punched again.
- the Punching takes place in the area between two successive securing elements 2.
- Figs. 2d and 2e are the invention Securing elements 2 on all sides at the end of the sealing process sealed with the chemically resistant coating.
