Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Fördereinheit mit einer eine Pumpenwand aufweisenden Pumpe, mit einem an der Pumpenwand im Bereich eines Einlaßkanals zu befestigenden Filterelement und mit Spannmitteln zur Vorspannung des Filterelementes gegen die Pumpenwand, wobei das Filterelement Ansaugöffnungen aufweist.
Solche Fördereinheiten werden beispielsweise in heutigen Kraftfahrzeugen vielfach in einem Kraftstoffbehälter zum Fördern von Kraftstoff eingesetzt und sind damit bekannt. Die Fördereinheit bildet in der Regel mit einem zum Antrieb der Pumpe vorgesehenen Elektromotor eine vormontierbare Einheit. Der Einlaßkanal hat hierbei einen von der Pumpenwand abstehenden Rohrstutzen, auf dem ein Anschlußstück des Filterelementes aufgesteckt wird (DE 44 31 788 A1). Anschließend wird das Anschlußstück an dem Rohrstutzen mittels einer Rohrschelle gesichert.
Nachteilig bei der bekannten Fördereinheit ist, dass die Pumpenwand durch den abstehenden Rohrstutzen ein schwierig zu fertigendes Bauteil darstellt. Hierdurch gestaltet sich die Fördereinheit sehr kostenintensiv. Weiterhin hat das Filterelement durch den Rohrstutzen einen sehr großen Abstand von der Pumpenwand, so dass die Fördereinheit sehr sperriges Bauteil darstellt.
Aus der US 5,411,376 ist eine Fördereinheit mit großer axialer Ausdehnung bekannt, die statt eines Rohrstutzens eine rohrstutzenartige Einlaßabdeckung besitzt, in der ein Filterelement angeordnet ist. Durch eine derartige Abdeckung kann der Pumpenboden einfacher gestaltet werden, jedoch erhöht sich aufgrund des zusätzlichen Bauteils der Montageaufwand für diese Fördereinheit.
Der Erfindung liegt das Problem zugrunde, eine Fördereinheit der eingangs genannten Art so zu gestalten, dass sie besonders kostengünstig herstellbar ist und möglichst geringe Abmessungen aufweist.
Dieses Problem wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass die Ansaugöffnungen des Filterelementes radial zur Pumpenachse in einem Filtergehäuse angeordnet sind.
Durch diese Gestaltung liegt das Filterelement unmittelbar an der den Einlaßkanal aufweisenden Pumpenwand an. Ein Rohrstutzen zur Befestigung des Filterelementes wie bei der bekannten Fördereinheit ist deshalb nicht mehr erforderlich. Weiterhin wird die Ausaugöffnung besonders nahe an der Pumpenwand und damit dem Einlaßkanal angeordnet. Dies führt zur besonders geringen Höhe des Filterelementes. Die Ansaugöffnung erfordert von dem Einlaßkananl dank der Erfindung ausschließlich einen für die Montage der Spannmittel erforderlichen Abstand. Hierdurch gestalten sich die erfindungsgemäße Fördereinheit besonders kompakt. Die Pumpenwand und die an der Pumpenwand anliegende Seite des Filterelementes können dank der Erfindung jeweils eben gestaltet sein. Die Pumpenwand und das Filterelement stellen daher besonders einfache und kostengünstig zu fertigende Bauteile dar. Die erfindungsgemäße Fördereinheit eignet sich durch ihre kostengünstige Gestaltung nicht nur zum Fördern von Kraftstoff, sondern beispielsweise auch zum Fördern von Waschflüssigkeit einer Scheibenwaschanlage.
Die Vorspannung des Filterelementes gegen die Pumpenwand könnte beispielsweise dadurch erzeugt werden, daß das Filterelement zwischen der Pumpenwand und einem Boden des Behälters eingespannt ist. Die erfindungsgemäße Fördereinheit läßt sich jedoch besonders kostengünstig zu einer baulichen Einheit vormontieren, wenn sie ein Spannelement zum Vorspannen des Filterelementes aufweist.
Das Spannelement könnte beispielsweise als ein an der Pumpe befestigter Spannbügel zum Übergreifen des Filterelementes ausgebildet sein. Das Spannelement gestaltet sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung konstruktiv besonders einfach, wenn das Spannelement aus einem Blechstreifen gefertigt und einen Rand des Filterelementes und einen Rand der Pumpe hintergreifend gestaltet ist.
Auf ein separat zu befestigendes Spannelement kann gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung verzichtet werden, wenn das Spannelement einteilig mit einem Gehäuse der Fördereinheit oder der Pumpe gefertigt ist und eine an dem Rand des Filterelementes anliegende Umbördelung aufweist. Eine solche Umbördelung ist meist ohnehin erforderlich, um einzelne Bauteile der Pumpe miteinander zu verspannen. Hierdurch werden die Fertigungskosten für die erfindungsgemäße Fördereinheit besonders gering gehalten. Weiterhin ist das Filterelement hierdurch auch bei starken Vibrationen des Kraftfahrzeuges besonders zuverlässig an der Pumpe befestigt.
Zur weiteren Verringerung der Herstellungskosten für die erfindungsgemäße Fördereinheit trägt es bei, wenn die Pumpenwand aus Keramik im Sinterverfahren hergestellt ist. Da die Pumpenwand dank der Erfindung eben gestaltet sein kann, ist eine zur Herstellung der Pumpenwand erforderliche Sinterform besonders einfach aufgebaut und leicht axial entformbar. Weiterhin haben in der Sintertechnik eingesetzte Keramiken eine besonders hohe Oberflächenhärte, eine hohe Druckfestigkeit und eine gute Korrosionsbeständigkeit, so daß die Fördereinheit eine besonders hohe Lebensdauer aufweist. Als Keramik eignet sich beispielsweise Siliziumcarbid oder Oxidkeramik. Die besonders hohe Lebensdauer der erfindungsgemäßen Fördereinheit ist insbesondere notwendig, wenn die Fördereinheit zum Einsatz in einem kostengünstig im Blasverfahren hergestellten Kraftstoffbehälter vorgesehen ist. Hierbei ist die Fördereinheit nach dem Blasvorgang in dem Kraftstoffbehälter eingeschlossen und kann nicht mehr entnommen werden. Ein weiterer Vorteil dieser Gestaltung besteht darin, daß innerhalb der Pumpe entstehende Geräusche durch die aus Keramik gefertigte Pumpenwand besonders gut gedämmt werden.
Die Erfindung läßt zahlreiche Ausführungsformen zu. Zur weiteren Verdeutlichung ihres Grundprinzips ist eine davon in der Zeichnung dargestellt und wird nachfolgend beschrieben. Diese zeigt in einer einzigen Figur eine erfindungsgemäße Fördereinheit 1 mit einer von einem Elektromotor 2 angetriebenen Pumpe 3 und einem Filterelement 4. Der Elektromotor 2 und die Pumpe 3 sind in einem gemeinsamen topfförmigen Gehäuse 5 angeordnet. Die Pumpe 3 ist als Seitenkanalpumpe ausgebildet und hat ein von dem Elektromotor 2 angetriebenes Laufrad 6, welches zwischen zwei feststehenden Pumpenwänden 7, 8 dreht. Die Pumpenwände 7, 8 werden von einem rohrförmigen, das Laufrad 6 konzentrisch umschließenden Abstandhalter 9 in ihrer vorgesehenen Lage gehalten. Der Abstandhalter 9 weist eine geringfügig größere Breite als das Laufrad 6 auf. In der dem Filterelement 4 zugewandten Pumpenwand 7 ist ein Einlaßkanal 10 angeordnet. In der anderen Pumpenwand 8 ist ein Auslaßkanal 11 eingearbeitet. Das Filterelement 4 weist ein Filtergehäuse 12 mit einem darin angeordneten Filtereinsatz 13 auf. Der Filtereinsatz 13 kann beispielsweise aus Schaumstoff gefertigt sein.
Bei einer Drehung des Laufrades 6 wird eine zu fördernde Flüssigkeit durch in dem Filtergehäuse 12 angeordnete Ansaugöffnungen 14, 15 durch den Filtereinsatz 13 angesaugt und dabei gefiltert. Anschließend gelangt die Flüssigkeit in einen Sammelraum 16 zwischen dem Filtereinsatz 13 und der den Einlaßkanal 10 aufweisenden Pumpenwand 7. Von dem Sammelraum 16 wird die Flüssigkeit durch die Pumpe 3 an dem Elektromotor 2 vorbei zu einem Schlauchstutzen 17 gefördert. Zur Verdeutlichung ist die Strömung der Flüssigkeit in der Zeichnung mit Pfeilen gekennzeichnet.
Das Gehäuse 5 der Fördereinheit 1 ist an seiner dem Filterelement 4 zugewandten Seite einteilig mit einem Spannelement 18 gefertigt. Das Spannelement 18 weist zum Hintergreifen eines umlaufenden Randes 19 des Filtergehäuses 12 eine Umbördelung 20 auf. Hierdurch wird das Filtergehäuse 12 gegen die den Einlaßkanal 10 aufweisende Pumpenwand 7 vorgespannt und gleichzeitig die einzelnen Bauteile der Pumpe 3 und des Elektromotors 2 miteinander verspannt. Zur Vormontage der Fördereinheit 1 können daher der Elektromotor 2, die Pumpe 3 und das Filterelement 4 einfach in das topfförmige Gehäuse 5 eingesetzt werden. Nach der Umbördelung des Spannelementes 18 ist die Fördereinheit 1 vollständig montiert.

Claims (5)

  1. Fördereinheit mit einer eine Pumpenwand (7) aufweisenden Pumpe (3), mit einem an der Pumpenwand (7) im Bereich eines Einlasskanals (10) zu befestigenden Filterelement (4) und mit Spannmitteln zur Vorspannung des Filterelementes (4) gegen die Pumpenwand (7), wobei das Filterelement (4) Ansaugöffnungen (14, 15) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Ansaugöffnungen (14, 15) des Filterelementes (4) radial zur Pumpenachse in einem Filtergehäuse (12) angeordnet sind.
  2. Fördereinheit nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie ein Spannelement (18) zum Vorspannen des Filterelementes (4) aufweist.
  3. Fördereinheit nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Spannelement (18) aus einem Blechstreifen gefertigt und einen Rand (19) des Filterelementes (4) und einen Rand der Fördereinheit (1) hintergreifend gestaltet ist.
  4. Fördereinheit nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Spannelement (18) einteilig mit einem Gehäuse (5) der Fördereinheit (1) oder der Pumpe (3) gefertigt ist und eine an dem Rand (19) des Filterelementes (4) anliegende Umbördelung (20) aufweist.
  5. Fördereinheit nach zumindest einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Pumpenwand (7, 8) aus Keramik im Sinterverfahren hergestellt ist.
