Gemäß der Erfindung ist bei einer Baugruppe der eingangs genannten Art vorgesehen, daß der Kraftbegrenzer ein mit dem Gurtschloß fest verbundenes Zugmittel, das relativ zum Befestigungsbeschlag um einen vorbestimmten Weg bewegbar ist, und ein Streckelement enthält, das mit dem Gurtschloß und dem Befestigungsbeschlag gekoppelt ist und durch Überschreiten einer vorbestimmten Zugkraft zwischen dem Gurtschloß und dem Befestigungsbeschlag gestreckt werden kann. Im Gegensatz zum Stand der Technik sieht die Erfindung also zusätzlich zum Streckelement ein getrenntes Zugmittel vor, das dazu dient, wenigstens im vollständig gestreckten Zustand des Kraftbegrenzers einen wesentlichen Teil der zwischen dem Gurtschloß und dem Befestigungsbeschlag wirkenden Zugkräfte zu übertragen. Durch die Umlenkung wird einer Verstellung der Drahtseile 14, 16 relativ zum Befestigungsbeschlag 12 eine Widerstandskraft entgegengesetzt, die sich zum einen aus Umschlingungsreibung im Bereich des Befestigungsbeschlags 12 und zum anderen aus der Biegesteifigkeit der Drahtseile 14, 16 zusammensetzt. Je nach der Auslegung der Laschen 38 und dem Maß ihrer Verpressung mit den Drahtseilen 14, 16 dienen sie entweder nur zur Führung des umgelenkten Abschnittes der Drahtseile oder zusätzlich dazu, eine vorbestimmte Reibungskraft bereitzustellen, die einer Relativverschiebung zwischen den Drahtseilen 14, 16 und dem Befestigungsbeschlag 12 entgegenwirkt.
