Definitions

  • Such a device is intended for the creation of patterns by means of decorative spears, i.e. pyrotechnic compositions presented in an envelope tubular or stick, which burn producing colored flames.
  • the support is produced by assembling the different wooden battens.
  • the realization of the support is delicate especially when you want to accurately reproduce a pattern made of curves.
  • the assembly thus produced is relatively fragile.
  • each mesh of the mesh is suitable for receiving a lance decor through the respective base.
  • the mesh support made so standardized whatever the reasons envisaged, can offer complete security in terms of robustness and rigidity to ensure firm attachment of the lances decorations via the respective bases.
  • the support may consist of the grill alone, if it is chosen sufficiently rigid to be self-supporting and not to bend under the weight of the decorative lances and the bases whatever their number, which has the advantage of making it possible to conform the support at will by plastic deformation of the fence.
  • the support can also have a rigid auxiliary support bearing integrally the mesh by stiffening it; this support auxiliary can itself have various forms such than a Saint-André cross, ladder or espalier but, according to a preferred embodiment in terms of ease and economy of manufacture, robustness and ability to effectively stiffen the mesh, it has the shape of a frame bordering the fence.
  • the bases thus designed can be produced in large series by simple processes, reliable and economical, in a material chosen from a group comprising metals, metal alloys and plastics.
  • any orientation chosen by compared to the grid that this orientation is at least approximately perpendicular to the fence or that it is substantially oblique to it, or even substantially parallel to it.
  • each decoration lance in the base can be done, for example, by gluing and interlocking or simply by force fitting respectively in the spring or in the end piece tubular, before or after integral insertion of the base in a respective mesh, suitably chosen, of fence.
  • each base thus bears integrally a respective decorative lance, this presents the opposite of the respective base a free priming end pyrotechnic.
  • Free ends of pyrotechnic ignition different decorative spears can themselves be mutually connected, by means of pyrotechnic connection, before or after the joining of the decorative lances with the bases respective, or before or after the insertion of these bases in the respective mesh of the mesh.
  • means can be used conventional mutual pyrotechnic connection, having a wick enclosed in a conduit which is cut to the right of each lance so that the wick is in contact with the priming surface thereof, in using tape to hold everything in place place by tying.
  • this ribbon can be composed in such a way that its combustion does not disturb the decor effect, especially in allowing an almost simultaneous initiation of the whole spears.
  • the cord of pyrotechnic composition from powder black in grains, the adhesive tape being able to include a support in polypropylene, paper or other.
  • tape pyrotechnic makes it possible to prefab a string of decor lances, with or without their mounting bases in the fence, and thus limits operations to perform for the realization of a specific pattern. In these operations are then limited to the insertion of bases in the respective meshes, suitably selected, the wire mesh and if necessary the insertion of each lance in its base.
  • the rosary thus prefabricated can be protected, before the realization of the motif, by packaging in a plastic sheath.
  • a rigid auxiliary support has been designated by 1 here constituted by a rigid and flat frame, for example rectangular, of which only FIG. 1 has been illustrated corner 2, defined by the integral connection, at an angle straight, two rigid bars, straight 3, 4 which can be made of any suitable material and by example in wood, metal, plastic.
  • Frame 1 is thus defined by two bars such as bar 3, mutually parallel, and by two bars such as bar 4, mutually parallel and each connected at right angles to both bars such as 3.
  • a mesh 6 which preferably has square meshes 7, mutually identical, defined by wires substantially straight 8 parallel to the bars such that 3 and by substantially straight wires 9 parallel to bars such as 4.
  • Two neighboring wires 8, as well as two neighboring sons 9, are mutually spaced by the same distance 1, for example of the order of 6.5 to 15 mm, defining the width of a mesh 7.
  • the wires 8 and 9 can be of any material suitable, substantially inextensible in the conditions of stress to which the wire mesh may be subjected 6 during the use of the fireworks decor panel; they are preferably metallic.
  • the mesh 6 can also be fixed on the aforementioned spacers, not represented but easily understood by a Tradesman.
  • Each of the meshes 7 of the mesh 6 is likely to receive a respective base 10 of reception of a respective decor lance 11 so that, by the choice of the meshes 7 in which one engages these bases 10, any desired pattern can be produced on a flat face 14 of the mesh 6 opposite the frame 1, at decor lances 11.
  • each base 10 is constituted by a coil spring 12 with turns contiguous, for example metallic or material plastic, having an axis 13 which, when the base thus formed is secured to the mesh 6, is oriented perpendicular to the face 14 thereof.
  • the spring 12 has an outside diameter with reference to its axis 13, not referenced, slightly greater than dimension 1 of so that each spring 12 can be screwed into the desired mesh 7, applying elastically a pinch between two of its turns to wires 8 and 9 which define this mesh 7. One screwing on two or three turns is enough, starting from the face 14 of the mesh 6.
  • the spring 12 has preferably at one of its ends, by which it is intended to be screwed into the mesh 6, or to both ends to be reversible, a straight leg 15 formed by a rectilinear zone of the wire which constitutes, tangentially extending the last turn just enough distance to facilitate placing in engagement of this wire with wires 8 and 9 delimiting the mesh 7 into which it is desired to screw the spring 12.
  • the bases 10 thus formed are mounted in the meshes 7 of the mesh 6 which their are respectively assigned before a decor launcher 11 in each of the bases 10, by coaxial interlocking of each decor lance 11 in the respective spring 12.
  • the decorative spears 11 usually have a straight shape and are delimited by an outer peripheral face 16 cylindrical of revolution around an axis that we will consider as confused with axis 13, which corresponds to its position when a decor lance 11 is engaged in the respective associated spring 12.
  • This face 16 has a diameter which is not referenced, determined, which itself determines an internal diameter, also not referenced, from the spring 12 so that the fitting of an end zone 17 of the decor lance 11 in the spring 12 is performed without play between the face 16 and the inner periphery of the spring 12.
  • this interlocking is preceded by a gluing of the area end 17 of the decor lance 11, in which case it is not need a tight fit between side 16 and the inner periphery of the spring 12, or else provide mutual securing of the decor lance 11 with the spring 12 by force fitting into the latter, this which requires a tight fit between side 16 and the spring 12.
  • the internal diameter of the spring 12 in the rest state that is to say when you do not apply any solicitation and in particular before the fitting of the decoration lance by force, slightly lower than the diameter of the face 16 of the decor lance 11 respectively associated.
  • spring 12 internally as externally, a slightly frustoconical shape of revolution around axis 13 instead of being cylindrical of revolution as is the case in the example illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, this frustoconical shape widening of a screwing end in the mesh 6, of outer diameter slightly greater than the width of mesh 1 of the mesh 6 and of lower inner diameter the diameter of the outer face 16 of a decor lance 11 respective, at one receiving end of the area extreme 17 of this decor lance 11, of internal diameter slightly greater than the diameter of the outer face 16 of it.
  • each decor lance 11 has a extreme zone 18 which is thus placed projecting from the face 14 and constitutes the area of the most decorative lance 11 away from the mesh 6 and the frame 1.
  • this free end zone 18 of the lance 11 contains a pyrotechnic ignition composition and the free ends 18 thus formed are connected mutually by pyrotechnic connection means 19 which can be of any known type and be implemented place either after fixing the different decor lances 11 in the bases 10, before or after fixing these last in the meshes 7 of the mesh 6, that is, of preferably before inserting the decoration lances 11 into the bases 10 in order to facilitate handling and rationalize the mutual pyrotechnic connection of free priming ends 18.
  • Such a rosary 20 is also illustrated in the Figure 6, and Figure 5 illustrates an embodiment favorite of this rosary, and more precisely means 19 mutual pyrotechnic connection of the ends free priming 18.
  • a face 22 of this adhesive tape 21 by any appropriate means and deposit along a median line of this face 22, on the latter, a cord 23 of a pyrotechnic composition of type black powder in grains, of a width ⁇ of the order from 8 to 12 mm, at a rate of 2 g per meter; it is well understood that these figures are only indicated as non-limiting example, as well as this composition.
  • the cord 23 thus produced is continuous, and adheres on the face 22 of the ribbon 21.
  • the priming ends are applied pyrotechnics 18 of decorative lances 11 on the cord 23 and on face 22 around it, orienting perpendicular to this face 22 the axes 13 here considered as axes of the set lances 11, as it is illustrated, or else each decoration lance 11 is plated, by an area of its face 16 corresponding to its end 18, on the face 22 of the ribbon 21, on one side of the cord 23, by placing the respective end 18 close immediate thereof, not shown but easily understood by a person skilled in the art, which places the pyrotechnic composition of the cord 23 in contact and therefore in relation of transmission of fire with the pyrotechnic ignition composition of each decor launcher 11.
  • a rosary 20 of the type illustrated is thus obtained in FIG. 6, formed of decorative lances 11 whose axes 13 are mutually parallel, the ends 17 of which are cleared so as to allow their insertion into the bases 10, and the ends 18 of which are trapped in the inside of the ribbon 21 folded back on itself.
  • a rosary 20 thus formed can be rolled up due to the flexibility of the tape 21 and easily packaged under waterproof packaging, such as a plastic sheath, which allows to protect it until its use, that is to say until you want to use it to achieve a pattern on the set formed by frame 1 and the mesh 6. So, we unpack this rosary and, from preferably after having installed the bases 10 in the meshes 7 suitably chosen from the mesh 6, we integrally engages the end zones 17 of the different lances 11 in the bases 10 which are there respectively allocated.
  • Such an embodiment of a rosary 20 of decor lances 11 connected to each other by means 19 of pyrotechnic connection of their extreme zones 18 pyrotechnic ignition is compatible with a mode for making the bases 10 different from that which has illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, for example with the mode for making the bases 10 which has been illustrated in Figures 3 and 4 which will now be referred to.
  • Each base 10 or part 24 comprises in this case a tubular end piece 23 having an axis oriented as said axis 13 and common to decor lance 11 respective, so that we have kept the reference numeric 13 for this axis.
  • the tubular end piece 23 has for example internally and externally a cylindrical shape of revolution around axis 13, with a diameter not referenced, substantially equal to the diameter respectively of the outer peripheral face 16 of the decor lance 11 respectively associated, in order to allow the coaxial fitting of the latter in the end piece 23, by its extreme zone 17, and its connection with this end piece by any of the means described above in connection to the base 10 in the form of a spring 12, and to the width 1 of a mesh 7 between two neighboring wires 8 or between two neighboring wires 9, so that the end piece tubular 23 can fit into any of mesh 7 by the face 14 of the mesh 6.
  • the tubular end piece 23 can open on either side and else along axis 13. It may also not be open that on one side, namely its side oriented like the face 14, by which it receives the end zone 17 of the lance decor 11 respective, and be closed on the opposite side, to which case this tip 23 has the shape of a bowl, as it appears from the examination of FIG. 4, which offers the certainty of precise positioning of the decor lance 11 respective along the axis 13, relative to the base 10, by coming from the extreme zone 17 in abutment at the bottom of the bowl along axis 13.
  • the part 24 comprises in addition to a pair of diametrically opposed tabs 25 with reference to the axis 13 and integral with the end piece 23 in the area of it through which the area enters end 17 of the respective decor lance 11.
  • Each of these tabs 25 has a shape flat, substantially rectangular, and oriented perpendicular to axis 13 in a position not illustrated that it tends to occupy naturally. However, the tabs 25 can also flex parallel to axis 13, in particular to occupy a state elastic bending illustrated in Figure 4, from from which they tend to spring back towards a coplanar conformation, perpendicular to axis 13.
  • Each of the tabs 25, considered not bent, presents from the tubular end 23 a respective length slightly greater than width 1 of a mesh 7, with a width at most equal to this width 1 and preferably substantially equal thereto.
  • the tongues 25 By elastic bending of the tongues 25, one can bring them in the state illustrated in Figures 3 and 4, in which they apply respectively to share and other of the mesh 7 in which the endpiece is engaged 23 on the wires 8 delimiting the latter, by the face 14 of the mesh 6, while they also undertake to the interior of immediately adjacent meshes 7 for cross the mesh 6 and engage under the wires 8 respectively neighbors of the two wires 8 delimiting the mesh 7 in which the end piece 23 is engaged, in applying by elasticity to the different wires 8 on which they thus support an immobilizing effort the base 10 relative to the grid 6.
  • each tab 25 from the tubular end piece 25 must not not be too large a value greater than the width 1 of a stitch, to avoid any difficulty in setting place of the base 10 on the grid 6 and taking into account the low flexibility that the wires 8 and 9 constituting the latter when it is fixed to the frame 1.
  • a difference of the order of a few millimeters between the length of each tab 25 and dimension 1 is sufficient to ensure effective anchoring of the base 10 in the mesh 6 while allowing insertion easy tabs 25 inside mesh 7 close to that in which the endpiece 23 engages.
  • this embodiment of the bases 10 is better compatible with an insertion secured to the decorative lances 11 in these bases prior to fixing them in mesh 7 of the mesh 6 as the embodiment described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, because the fixing bases 10 in the mesh of the mesh 6 is made then by simple snap-fast, i.e. without rotation of screwing.
  • the same axis 13 constitutes both the axis common to each decor lance 11 and to the part of the base 10 which receives the extreme zone 17 and the axis thereof, perpendicular to the grid 6, according to which one inserts this ablaze 10 in a mesh 7 of it, so fine that the decor lances are themselves oriented at least approximately perpendicular to the fence.
