Abstract

Zwischen einer feststehenden Kontakttulpe (1) und einer Gleittulpe (4) erstreckt sich ein Lichtbogenraum (5), der in der Einschaltstellung von einem beweglichen Schaltstift (3) eingenommen wird, welcher sowohl einen von der Gleittulpe (4) umgebenen Auspuff (9) als auch eine von der Kontakttulpe (1) umgebene Blasöffnung (7), welche den Lichtbogenraum (5) mit einem Druckraum (6) verbindet, ausfüllt. Der Lichtbogenraum (5) ist von einem ringförmigen, gegen denselben offenen Heizvolumen (13) umgeben. Im Druckraum (6) ist eine Ladung (10) von Explosivstoff angeordnet, die nach Zündung binnen ca. 10 - 30 ms grösstenteils zu Löschgas, vorzugsweise überwiegend Stickstoff umgesetzt wird, wobei der Gasdruck den Schaltstift (3) gegen die Ausschaltstellung bewegt. Nach Freiwerden der Blasöffnung (7) und des Auspuffs (9) wird der zwischen Schaltstift (3) und Kontakttulpe (1) gezogene Lichtbogen beblasen, was vom durch den Lichtbogen mitbewirkten Druckaufbau im Heizvolumen (13) unterstützt wird. Der Druckraum mit der Ladung kann den Lichtbogenraum auch ringförmig umgeben. Auch in diesem Fall ist eine Unterstützung der Ausschaltbewegung durch den Explosionsdruck z. B. über Kolben möglich.
