Verfahren zur Herstellung von Streifenelementen für die elektronische Artikelsicherung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Endlosstreifen (2) von elektronisch detektierbarem Material bereitgestellt und in einzelne Streifenabschnitte (3) einer gewünschten Länge unterteilt wird, daß die einzelnen Streifenabschnitte (3) mittels einer Fördervorrichtung (8) weitergeleitet werden, deren Geschwindigkeit größer ist als die Geschwindigkeit, mit der der Endlosstreifen (2) bereitgestellt wird, wobei die Relativgeschwindigkeit so bemessen ist, daß ein gewünschter Abstand zwischen zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Streifenabschnitten (3) erzielt wird, und daß die voneinander beabstandeten Streifenabschnitte (3) von einer Seite oder beidseitig mit einer Beschichtung (12) versehen werden.1.
