Abstract

Eine als Handgerät ausgebildete Kettensäge weist ein eine Handgriffanordnung (3, 4) tragendes Gerätegehäuse (2), eine im Gerätegehäuse (2) angeordnete und einen Antriebsmotor (6) enthaltende Antriebseinrichtung sowie eine im Bereich einer Geräteseite angeordnete Sägeeinrichtung auf, die ein am Gerätegehäuse (2) angebrachtes, an dessen Vorderseite vor dieses vorstehendes, schwertartiges Sägeketten-Führungselement (8) und eine am Umfang des Führungselements (8) gelagerte, endlos umlaufende Sägekette enthält. Im Bereich der beiden einander entgegengesetzten Geräteseiten ist jeweils eine Abtriebsstelle (15) für den Antrieb der Sägekette vorhanden. Die Sägeeinrichtung (7) ist wahlweise im Bereich der einen oder der anderen Geräteseite anordenbar.
