Description
The invention relates to a contact spring with a Basic spring with a central one, of a rectangular one Frame formed spring arm base is provided at the molded on one end a connector for electrical conductors and two at the opposite end connect molded spring arms to the broad sides of the spring arm base, which converge towards each other towards the free end to run and then join a funnel open, the spring arms each in the area of the contact zone by arranged on the longitudinal edges facing each other Keep impressions at a distance as well as from one with the spring arm base connected locking sleeve are included.
It is generally known that with detachable electrical contacting devices, especially those of one Receiving part, such as a contact spring, and a connecting part, like a contact knife, formed connectors, contact power is critical to reliability the electrical connection.
Added to this is the demand for good conductivity, that is to say non-corroded or not scaled, contact surfaces, for a trouble-free current transfer at the contact surface ensure and minimize the contact resistance.
In addition, designed as a plug-in device releasable Contacts to be easy to handle, both in manufacturing the electrical connections as well as when manufacturing the connector.
From DE 196 11 698 A1 a contact spring is the beginning mentioned type with resilient contact legs for Contact knife known for high current carrying capacity, at which the aforementioned requirements are largely met. However, when using this known contact spring shown that the contact force after a certain The number of plugging operations is still> 3N and thus the specified holding force for an inserted knife contact not less than, but it should be noted that the required insertion force increases to approx. 10N and as a result handling impaired. This can result in circumstances the connection may be faulty or at lower holding force loosen or be interrupted.
The invention is based on this prior art the task of a contact spring of the aforementioned Art to create that is simple in design and with reasonable Effort can be produced.
This object is achieved by the characterizing Features of claim 1. Further advantageous Refinements and improvements of the invention are dealt with in the dependent claims dependent thereon.
Accordingly, it is provided that the opening angle of the Plug funnel over its entire extent is α <30 ° and that the spring arms crowned in the area of the contact zone are shaped and each form a contact tip.
Here, the indication "over its entire extent" means that the sides or legs of the funnel quasi run linearly without curvature or kink, the opening angle between the legs as pointed as possible, that is small, should be.
To ensure contact security in all cases, the spring arms are domed in the area of the contact zone. The contact zone is the area where the Plug contact cooperates with the assigned knife contact. Through the arched contact surfaces of the legs ensured that regardless of the insertion position of the concerned Contact knife always a sufficient electrical There is contact, so that interference with the electrical Power and / or signal transmission practically prevented are.
In order to further improve contact security are in a further embodiment of the invention at least the spring arms covered on all sides with a layer of tin, the layer thickness is about 1.5 µm. Preferably the tin layer as so-called fire tinning, that is in the molten liquid Tin bath, applied.
Tin is known to be a good conductive metal, but it is it is mechanically unstable because of its low weight Strength only low wear resistance offers. In order to prevent this susceptibility to wear, provided according to a preferred development of the invention be that the tin layer in the area of the contact tip is mechanically compressed by means of embossing.
Reduced by this stamping, known as work hardening the tin layer compared to each other locally by approx. 0.3 µm the uncompressed area, but this makes a causes a considerable increase in wear resistance, so that the surface treated in this way has little rubbing wear has and is resistant to abrasion. Furthermore, the Tin layer on a smooth surface.
This is while maintaining good corrosion protection due to the tin layer also a noticeable Reduction of the required plug-in and pulling forces of the inserted ones or pull out contact knife reached.
The tin layer can advantageously at least mechanically compressed area have an intermetallic phase, their share in relation to the total shift volume Is 50% to 75%. This intermetallic phase also contributes to increase the strength of the very soft Tin layer at.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention the spring arms of the contact spring according to the invention each of two mutually parallel spring legs formed on are formed on the broad sides of the spring arm base and by a longitudinal gap are separated from each other, the spring legs one spring arm per contact spring at its free end are connected by means of a web.
In other words, the opposite, have wedge-shaped spring arms two elongated strips each, each with a spring leg form and are connected to the spring arm base. These spring legs are through one to their free end Longitudinal gap separated from each other. However, one of the two pairs of strips, each forming a spring arm, of the longitudinal gap closed at the free end by a cross bar.
In a preferred development of the invention, everyone is here Spring legs arched in the area of the contact zone and forms a contact tip, whereby the previously explained contact security not only guaranteed, but even improved is because the elasticity of two pairs of spring legs inevitably has more favorable operating behavior than two single spring arms.
In a proven manner, the contact spring according to the invention is included provided with a locking sleeve, which with positive and non-positive the spring arm base works together and serves the installation the contact spring in the existing mounting openings of the housing and the like.
These and other advantageous refinements and improvements the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
