Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a high gradient magnetic separator according to the preamble of the first claim.
Ein solcher Hochgradienten-Magnetseparator ist aus der GB 1 530
296 bekannt. Bei dieser Vorrichtung werden zwei Abscheidekammern
wechselweise durch horizontales Verschieben in das Magnetfeld
einer stationär angeordneten Magnetfeldquelle gebracht. Die
Abscheidekammern sind mit einem magnetisierbaren Material befüllt.
Die Kraft, mit der die Abscheidekammern in das Innere derSuch a high gradient magnetic separator is from
Magnetfeldquelle gezogen werden, wird durch Federn kompensiert.
Ein weiterer Hochgradienten-Magnetseparator ist in der GB 1 599
824 beschrieben. Auch bei diesem Separator werden zwei linear
angeordnete Abscheidekammern horizontal verschoben. Zur Kompensation
der auftretenden Magnetkraft werden zwischen den Abscheidekammern
sowie davor und dahinter drei Kompensationskammern
vorgesehen, so daß die Kompensations- und Abscheidekammern
eine lineare Kette bilden.Magnetic field source are compensated by springs.

Eine Übersicht über Hochgradienten-Magnetseparatoren, in der auch die beiden oben erwähnten Vorrichtungen beschrieben sind, findet sich in der Veröffentlichung von J. Svoboda: Magnetic Methods for the Treatment of Minerals", Elsevier Science Publishers, Amsterdam 1987, Seiten 201 bis 206.An overview of high gradient magnetic separators, in which the two devices mentioned above are also described, can be found in the publication by J. Svoboda: Magnetic Methods for the Treatment of Minerals ", Elsevier Science Publishers, Amsterdam 1987, pages 201 to 206.
The described high gradient magnetic separators have in common that separation chambers cyclically in the magnetic field of a fixed Magnetic field source are brought. This arrangement is disadvantageous because the liquid inlets and outlets on the separation chambers must necessarily be flexible. In itself, flexible hoses can be used; since the deposition chamber is pushed into the magnetic field source precautions must be taken that the Hoses are not damaged or the movement of the separation chamber prevent. By moving the hoses it can also about leaks such as cracks in the contaminated areas.
Bei dieser Vorrichtung sind zwar fest installierte Flüssigkeitsanschlüsse vorgesehen; sie muß jedoch sorgfältig über plane Flächen abgedichtet werden.DE 19626999 C1 describes a high gradient magnetic separator, in which the separation chambers are arranged in a ring and are guided past a fixed magnetic field source become. This device does have permanently installed liquid connections intended; however, it must be carefully considered flat surfaces are sealed.
The invention has for its object a high gradient magnetic separator to propose of the type mentioned at the outset can be operated with separation chambers that are not flexible Inlets and outlets must be provided and with the nevertheless the usual sealants, for example when laying pipes, suffice. In particular, the proposed high gradient magnetic separator rigidly and firmly installed feed and Discharge lines at the separation chambers for the to be cleaned and enable the cleaned liquids.
The solution to the problem is the hallmark of the first claim described. Preferred configurations of the high gradient magnetic separator are specified in the further claims.
According to the invention, a high gradient magnetic separator is proposed where not the deposition chamber, but the magnetic field source is moved. This opens up the possibility of the separation chamber to be installed stationary and to be provided with fixed liquid inlets and outlets. So there is no more the risk that the supply and discharge lines by moving the separation chamber can be damaged relative to the magnetic field source.
Either electrical coils or Permanent magnets are used. Permanent magnets have opposite the advantage of the electrical coils that they have no tracking Need connecting lines.
The invention comprises two different embodiments, which differ in the movement of the magnetic field source. At In the first embodiment, the movement of the magnetic field source takes place linear, preferably in the vertical direction. In the second embodiment rotates the magnetic field source.
In the first embodiment, both magnetic field sources in Form a yoke are used, in the free space the Separation chamber finds place. In the simplest form is only a single deposition chamber exists over which the magnetic field source can be driven. A vertical is particularly preferred Arrangement of magnetic field source and deposition chamber, where the magnetic field source is shifted vertically.
The magnetic force that the magnetic field source is pointing towards the permanently installed separation chamber can pull in the particularly preferred vertical arrangement by the weight of the magnetic field source be at least partially compensated. This will the magnetic field source arranged in such a way that the on it acting magnetic force is opposite to their weight. This can be done in such a way that the magnetic field source moved vertically from below towards the separation chamber. This embodiment has the advantage that to compensate for the magnetic force no additional devices such as springs or compensation container are necessary. The weight of the magnetic field source can be adapted to the magnetic force in this case become. The vertical displacement of the magnetic field source can be hydraulic or electrically by an electric motor.
As mentioned, can in a second embodiment of the invention the magnetic field source can be arranged rotatably. Conveniently a permanent magnet is used in this embodiment. In this embodiment there is also the possibility of to provide only a single separation chamber. In this case the permanent magnet has a horseshoe shape. Its axis of rotation is chosen in this case so that the two legs of the horseshoe be brought into the immediate vicinity of the separation chamber can. As the permanent magnet continues to turn away his two legs from the separation chamber so that the magnetic The field inside the deposition chamber practically drops to zero. The separation chamber is preferred in this embodiment surrounded by a soft iron yoke.
A high gradient magnetic separator that can be used with greater advantage in practice you get when there are several separation chambers, e.g. B. four, are arranged on a circular line and if perpendicular to the plane of the circular line at its center Axis is attached, on which a bar magnet is movably arranged is so that it is rotated in the plane of the circular line can be. The axis of the bar magnet is in this Case preferably driven by an electric motor.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to figures.
