Eine derartige Konstruktion ist allerdings mit beträchtlichen Herstellungskosten verbunden. Mittels der als separate Baueinheit ausgestalteten Steuereinheit kann die Antriebseinrichtung einer Operationstischplatte auch dann aktiviert werden, wenn diese von der Tragsäule gelöst ist. Somit können die Tischplattenabschnitte selbst dann verstellt werden, wenn die Operationstischplatte beispielsweise auf einen Transportwagen aufgesetzt ist. Die Spannungsversorgung der Antriebseinrichtung wird von der separaten Steuereinheit bereitgestellt, die zu diesem Zweck eine Spannungsversorgungseinheit aufweist. Mittels der erfindungsgemäßen Konstruktion erübrigt es sich insbesondere, einen Akkumulator in die Operationstischplatte zu integrieren und dessen Ladezustand in regelmäßigen Abständen zu kontrollieren. Die Operationstischplatte muß vielmehr lediglich in an sich bekannter Weise die Antriebseinrichtung zu ihrer Verstellung umfassen, während die erfindungsgemäße Steuereinheit die Mittel zur Verfügung stellt, um die elektromotorische Antriebseinrichtung der Operationstischplatte anzusteuern und mit Energie zu versorgen. Der Einsatz der erfindungsgemäßen Steuereinheit ist hierbei nicht auf Fälle beschränkt, bei denen die Operationstischplatte von der Tragsäule gelöst ist und auf einem Transportwagen aufruht, sie kommt vielmehr auch dann zum Einsatz, wenn beispielsweise eine Tragsäule ohne integrierte Steuereinheit verwendet wird oder wenn die in die Tragsäule integrierte Steuereinheit defekt ist. Mittels der erfindungsgemäßen Steuereinheit kann außerdem nicht nur die Antriebseinrichtung einer Operationstischplatte angesteuert werden, sondern es kann auch eine Ansteuerung einer entsprechenden Antriebseinrichtung einer Tragsäule erfolgen, beispielsweise zu deren Höhenverstellung.By means of the designed as a separate unit control unit, the drive means of an operating table top can also be activated when it is released from the support column.
