Description

The invention relates to a table with a table top, the at least three table legs is worn, each table leg relative to the Table top is pivotally mounted about a vertical axis.

Such a table is known from DE 195 41 068 A1. The table points four table legs, each with a cross arm on their upper Ends around vertical swivel axes on the table top are pivotally attached.

It is also known (US 26 55 387), a table with a table frame to be provided, which has four table legs designed as a hollow body. In The table legs each have a rolling element that can be lifted and lowered a vertical axis is pivotable and relative to a surface rotatably arranged. Using a lifting mechanism, it is possible push the rolling elements down out of the table legs, whereby the table stands on the rolling elements and can be moved can be moved.

Tables are well known in the home furnishing area can be used as dining tables, as coffee tables or as side tables.

Tables are also generally known, the table legs of which are attached to the respective Foot ends are provided with casters for easy displacement of the respective table. It is also known such tables at the foot ends of the table legs with castors provided that a further improved displaceability of each Ensure the table. For aesthetic reasons, the roles or swivel castors, however, designed to be relatively small to give the overall aesthetic impression not to lower the table. Such little one Castors cause problems when moving the table Carpet edges or other step-like heels on a surface like door sills or the like.

The object of the invention is to provide a table of the type mentioned to create that has improved rolling behavior.

This problem is solved in that at the lower, free ends the table legs each have a rolling element rotatable about a transverse axis is mounted, the rolling element at least half in the each table leg is sunk and eccentric to the Vertical axis is mounted on the table leg.

Because the table legs themselves are pivoted , it is sufficient to have the rolling elements themselves inside the table legs as simple linear rolling elements with a simple linear rotational mobility function and still get the desired steering function. Through the solution according to the invention can for the rolling elements achieved a significantly increased guide length on its vertical axis be the maximum of the entire length of each Table leg can correspond. This can cause the run-on behavior be improved. Another major advantage The solution according to the invention is in addition to the improvement described the rolling behavior the created, substantial structural Simplification. So far with the prior art castors are stored on table legs, arise with such Tables three structurally separate functional units. On the one hand the storage of each rolling element around the transverse axis, the storage each rolling element as a steering roller around a vertical axis and finally the support of the table leg relative to the table. With the solution according to the invention, however, are storage the vertical axis of the rolling element and the bracket of the respective Table leg due to the rotatable mounting of the Table legs folded together, so that a simplified structure the functional units is achieved. Due to the large guide length the rolling elements with respect to the vertical axis is also the use of large rolling elements possible, which is an improved Rolling behavior also with carpet edges and other step-like Enable paragraphs. Through such rolling elements the tracking behavior is further improved. The provision of large rolling elements also prevents deep sinking in soft carpet surface, so that deep rolling element impressions can be prevented in carpeting.

Due to the eccentric bearing of each rolling element to the vertical axis a defined overrun behavior is advantageously achieved, that is a simple and smooth movement of the table allows.

The recessed arrangement of the rolling elements makes it possible to be relative large rolling elements in the form of rollers, double rollers, wheels, Rollers or the like to provide, without this the aesthetic Overall impression of the table would adversely affect these are at least partially sunk in the table leg. Preferably the rolling elements only protrude so far down the table legs out, the lower ends of the table legs do not come into contact with the respective floor, so as not to have a braking effect through the table legs themselves let develop.

In an embodiment of the invention is for swivel mounting the table legs are provided with at least one base an underside of the table top is fixed. It can either a common base for all table legs or a separate base can also be provided for each table leg. The latter configuration is particularly suitable for Coffee tables where the table top is made of glass is. The plinth can be made easier in this version Be glued to the bottom of the glass plate.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the pivot bearing each table leg means for axially securing the Table leg relative to the table top or to the base. This axial securing means ensure that the table too can be raised without the table legs from the Loosen the table top or the base.

In a further embodiment of the invention, each table leg has a middle body, in particular a hollow body, on the on its top by a swivel bearing Cover plate and on its underside by a rolling element receiving base plate is closed. Take with it the cover plate and the base plate the functional parts of the Table leg on, whereas the middle body after aesthetic Aspects can be designed.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the cover plate and the base plate detachably connected to the center body. This enables the functional parts in the area of Cover plate and the base plate, i.e. the pivot bearing and the respective rolling element to be pre-assembled, which simplifies Table mounting is achievable.

In a further embodiment of the invention there are at least two Table legs coupled together in their swiveling movements. This results in even and exact possibilities of movement the table.

As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the table leg is 3 around the vertical vertical axis S on a base 5 full revolutions pivotally mounted. The Base 5 is in one piece, disk-like block, in particular made of metal and flat with an underside the table top 2 glued. One piece protrudes from the base 5 a bearing pin 11 coaxial to the pivot axis S after down from. The bearing pin 11 carries a rigid cover plate 12 of the table leg 3, which is an oval-like, but on their Has narrow sides tapering base (Fig. 3). The flat cover plate 12 is between two axial roller bearings 8, 9 held on the vertical journal 11, wherein the axial securing of the two roller bearings 8, 9 and thus the cover plate 12 on the journal 11 and by a Tapered ring 7, which is positioned axially by means of a conical socket nut 6 is held, executed. The cone ring 7 and the conical socket nut 6 provide axial securing means in the The conical socket nut 6 is on one external thread bolt designed as an extension of the bearing journal screwed. This means that there is no axial play the rolling bearings 8, 9 and thus the rotary or Pivotal mounting of the respective table leg 3 enables. There the upper roller bearing 9 against a corresponding ring shoulder the base 5 supports, the roller bearings 8, 9 by adjusting the conical socket nut 6 accordingly be preloaded axially without play. The adjusted end position the conical socket nut 6 is inserted radially into the conical socket nut 6 screw-in securing bolts 10 secured, on a copper stopper not specified acts. When screwing in the locking bolt 10 Copper plug against the external thread section of the bearing journal 11 pressed and thus creates the non-positive securing the conical socket nut 6 in the adjusted end position. The use of the copper plug ensures at the same time that no damage to the external thread of the external thread section arises. The background to this is that this is for the Production of the base 5 and the bearing pin 11 used Metal, preferably steel, is harder than the material of the Copper plug.

The cover plate 12 of the table leg 3 sits on a central body serving hollow body 13, the cross section of the Base area of the cover plate 12 corresponds. As with the Fig. 2 and 3 can be clearly seen, the cover plate 12 as well Hollow body 13 mounted eccentrically to the vertical axis S on the base 5. The lower end of the hollow body 13 is by a Bottom plate 14 closed, the shape and thickness of the Cover plate 12 corresponds.

The base plate 14 has a rectangular cutout 17 on, through a lower half of the impeller 4 down and thus protrudes outwards. The impeller 4 is one Bearing axis 15 rotatably mounted on both sides of the cutout 17 in a horizontal orientation transverse to Running direction of the impeller 4 on the bottom plate 14 is fixed is. For this purpose, two screws 16 are provided, which are from below be screwed through the base plate 14 and the Set the bearing axis 15 on the base plate 14.

Both the base plate 14 and the cover plate 12 close the opposite open ends of the hollow body 13 from in which they on the respective end edges of the hollow body 13 rest. The two opposite end faces the cover plate 12 and the bottom plate 14 are each with provided with a positioning pin 18 that fits exactly into the respective Corners of the inner wall of the hollow body 13 according to FIG. 2 engages and so an exact positioning of the cover plate 12th and the base plate 14 on the hollow body 13. The Fixing the cover plate 12 and the bottom plate 14 each at the front edges of the hollow body 13 via a Clamping device 20, which is between the cover plate 12 and the bottom plate 14 extends and the cover plate 12 and Base plate 14 against each other and thus also against the respective Front edge of the hollow body 13 spans. The jig 12 has an upper, long threaded rod, which in one Thread block 19 by means of an unspecified Adjusting nut is fixed. The thread block 19 is with welded the underside of the cover plate 12. On a lower one The front end of the threaded rod is a double-sided adjusting nut screwed on as far as it will go. In the opposite A tension screw grips the internal thread of the adjusting nut a, which is held in the bottom plate 14. This is in the Base plate 14 provided a corresponding hole which the lag screw can be inserted from the outside and then can be screwed into the internal thread of the adjusting nut is. The depth of the internal thread is dimensioned so that the lag screw is not screwed in to the bottom of the internal thread is, but sufficient suitability for the lag screw remain.

As can be seen from FIGS. 4 to 7, the table legs are 3 designed relatively flat, but have a relatively large Spread out. Due to the eccentric bearing of the table legs 3 it is possible to turn the table legs 3 to one side, if on the other hand a corresponding additional one Space is needed. This is also a certain increase the legroom of people sitting at the table. In addition, the table legs 3 can be aesthetically pleasing Positions are aligned, as with the 4 to 7 can be seen. These are just a few selected ones Positions because the table legs 3 due to the rotatability around the respective vertical axis S in any position can be aligned for themselves or with each other. In the 4 are two consecutive Table legs 3 aligned in a common escape and these pairs of table legs 3 aligned aligned parallel to each other. In the presentation after Fig. 5 are the table legs in a star shape concentric to the central vertical axis the table top 2 aligned. 6 are all table legs 3 obliquely and parallel to each other. Finally, according to FIG. 7, the four table legs 3 along tangents around a common axis and to the central vertical axis the table top 2 concentric circular line in the same circumferential direction aligned.

A table 1a according to FIGS. 8 and 9 is designed as a dining table, by the table legs 3a opposite the table legs 3 of the Coffee tables designed according to FIGS. 1 to 7 much longer are. The table top 2a also has one opposite Table top 2 much larger table area. The structure the table legs 3a and the storage at the bottom of the Table top 2a corresponds by means of a base 5a in each case the previously described embodiment, so that below only on the differences of the embodiment 8 and 9 is received. In contrast to the previous one described embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 7 are the rolling elements 4a of the table legs 3a exactly at the level of Axes of rotation T of the table legs 3a and thus concentric to this Rotation or swivel axis T around a correspondingly horizontal one Cross axis rotatably mounted. Because the respective, the respective Rolling element 4a rotatably mounted, horizontal transverse axis associated vertical pivot axis T intersects no defined overrun behavior, as is the case with the eccentric stored rolling elements 4 of the embodiment 1 to 7 is the case. The table legs 3a are however in accordance with the embodiment described above rotatable into any angular position, of which 8 and 9, only two possible alignment variants are shown. When the table legs are aligned 3a, the table 1a is blocked because the four rolling elements 4a of the table legs 3a are cross-shaped to each other. With the position of the table legs 3a according to FIG. 9, however, can the table 1a is easily moved in one direction become. To block a table movement from this Achieving alignment is a simple matter a single one of the table legs 3a is rotated by 90 °, whereby already a corresponding roll protection and thus Blocking of the table 1a is reached. Therefore around the table 1a to be able to push in a certain direction are in simple way all table legs 3a in the corresponding Aligned direction and then the table 1a moved. As soon as the desired position within the respective When space is reached, one or two table legs can be placed around one certain angular amount, preferably rotated by about 90 ° block any movement of the table 1a is.

In other embodiments of the invention are tables provided that as dining tables, as side tables or also are designed as tables for office furnishings. The most basic Structure of the swiveling storage of the table legs and the partially recessed arrangement of rolling elements changes in the lower end areas of the table legs thereby nothing.

In a further embodiment, not shown the invention is for the storage of the rolling elements and thus the table legs around the vertical axis are given a large guide length. A rod-shaped bearing axis protrudes for each table leg coaxial to the vertical axis from the table top down that extends over a large part of the table leg length. The table leg encompasses this bearing axis by means of a corresponding integrated socket over the entire axial Length of the bearing axis. With such a simple design The structural simplicity particularly occurs in the exemplary embodiment clearly as there is next to the storage of the table leg only the linear bearing of the respective one around the bearing axis Roll element provided about the transverse axis relative to the table leg is.
