In Fig. 1 sind schematisch acht nebeneinanderliegende Ziffernblöcke 18 einer
ersten Ziffernreihe 10 aus einem ersten Nummerierwerk sowie acht nebeneinanderliegende
Ziffernblöcke 20 einer zweiten Ziffernreihe 12 eines zweiten
Nummerierwerkes dargestellt. Auf den einzelnen Ziffernblöcken 18, 20
sind in der Ziffernreihe 10 Ziffernblöcke mit Ziffern 16 und Ziffernblöcke mit
einer Blindzifferung 14 alternierend vorgesehen. In der zweiten Ziffernreihe
12, die zu einer zweiten Nummeriervorrichtung gehört, tragen die Ziffernblöcke
20 gerade an den Stellen Ziffern 17, an denen die Ziffernreihe 10
Blindziffern 14 aufweist, während die Blindziffern 15 der Ziffernreihe 12 entsprechend
an den Stellen vorgesehen sind, an denen in der Reihe 10 Ziffern
16 vorgesehen sind. Das erste und das zweite Nummerierwerk werden nun
in einer Nummerierstation zur Nummerierung von Dokumenten so vorgesehen,
dass zunächst die Ziffernreihe 10 auf das Dokument aufgedruckt
wird. Durch eine positionsgenaue Führung des Dokumentes innerhalb der
Nummerierstation zum zweiten Nummerierwerk ist es möglich, das Dokument
mit der zweiten Ziffernfolge passergenau zu versehen, wobei die zweite
Ziffernfolge im vorliegenden Fall so auf das Dokument aufgebracht wird,
dass die vollständige Seriennummer, die aus einer Kombination der Ziffern
16 der ersten Ziffernreihe 10 und der Ziffern 17 der zweiten Ziffernreihe 12
besteht, auf das Dokument aufgebracht wird. Die Position des Sicherheitselements,
