Description
The invention relates to a pedal for a motor vehicle, in particular Accelerator pedal, one at one end in a pedal bearing has pivotally held pedal rod on the free end one fastened by means of at least one clip Pedal plate is, the free end of the pedal rod in one a holding area parallel to the plane of the pedal plate with at least one forming the end of the pedal rod Thigh has a closed eye at the back the pedal plate is inserted.
Such a pedal is known for example from EP 0 314 108. The pedal rod has an offset and one subsequent bend. The bend runs diagonally below the pedal plate while the bend arranged at right angles to the longest extension of the pedal rod is. The pedal plate protrudes beyond the bend.
A disadvantage of the known pedal is that a pressure, for example on the lower part of the pedal plate, to one Tipping moment and thus to release the pedal plate from the pedal rod can lead.
The invention is based on the problem of a pedal of the beginning mentioned type so that its pedal plate with a clip connection as safe as possible against loosening held on the pedal rod at high actuation forces is without it having to be elaborately designed and assembly is complex.
This problem is solved according to the invention in that the Holding area two in the area of the lateral edges of the pedal plate extending legs and one connecting the legs, in the area of the edge pointing away from the pedal bearing Pedal plate has trending base and that of the distance to the axis of the eye on the back of the pedal plate Clips with the pedal rod is engaged.
With such a pedal, the pedal plate is attached to both of them Sides and on their underside in the immediate vicinity its outer edge is supported by the holding area of the pedal rod. The support surface for the pedal plate on the free This will end the pedal rod as close as possible to the edge of the pedal distal axis Pedal plate brought up. The pedal plate is not just that in the main direction of the pedal rod, but also across it supported as broadly as possible. This creates when actuated of the pedal no moments that lead to a loosening of the pedal plate could lead from the pedal rod. The fixation of the Pedal plate by means of an eye and a clip is also very reliable, because to loosen the pedal plate first panning around the axis of the eye and then moving required in the main direction of extension of the pedal rod is. This design excludes that from accidental Contact of the foot with the pedal from the back or underside of the pedal plate forth to loosen the pedal plate can come from the pedal rod.
The pedal plate is very despite the low use of materials sturdy and particularly safe against occurrence of tilting moments relative to the pedal rod on the pedal rod kept if according to an advantageous training the invention on its back a circumferential, to the back projecting frame web forming its edge has, which is flush on the underside of the pedal plate the eye has a recess open to the rear for receiving of the leg of the pedal rod when inserted into the eye Has.
The clips in which the pedal plate snaps into place after the The free rod end is first inserted into the closed eye and then panned around the eye be placed in an area where it does not have the side contour of the pedal plate must protrude when the Pedal bar on the top of the pedal plate approximately on the Axis of symmetry of the pedal plate runs when the pedal rod behind the pedal plate, one to the edge of the pedal plate has directed bend to which the U-shaped Stopping area connects, and if the clips in the area of Bend is provided. The offset also enables that the pedal plate in the upper area is supported by the pedal rod in the middle, while in the lower one Area where the risk of lateral force from the foot is more likely is, the U-shaped holding area supports the pedal plate on both sides. Because the Clip axis runs at an angle to the axis of the eye, is also a peeling or sliding the pedal plate from the holding area is not possible.
The frame web is also capable of increasing the holding forces of the pedal plate contribute to the holding area when the U-shaped holding area against the frame web is applied.
The holding plate can consist of two parts from an inexpensive plastic part and a reinforcing one Metal part to achieve sufficient strength against high actuation forces (for brake or clutch pedals) if the Pedal plate has a reinforcing plate on its back and if the eye and of the clips protrude through an opening in this reinforcement plate.
The two-part pedal plate is particularly cost-effective to produce, if according to one another development of the invention, the reinforcement plate by a clip connection in the pedal plate is held.
The pedal rod is optimally shaped for actuation by the foot when it is between the pedal bearing and the pedal plate a projecting in the actuating direction, bent or cranked area.
Due to the stable design and mounting of the clipped pedal plate are such Pedals not only as accelerator or accelerator pedals, but also as clutch or brake pedals usable.
