Claims (6)

  1. Connecteur (2) avec une haute densité de contacts, comprenant un logement (6) en un matériau isolant et une pluralité de contacts (7, 8) de signal et de masse, disposés régulièrement en rangées et en colonnes à l'intérieur dudit logement, chacun desdits contacts (7, 8) ayant des première et deuxième extrémités (13, 21) et une section intermédiaire (22), lesdites premières extrémités comprenant chacune une section de connexion (13), dans lequel ledit logement est muni d'une paroi avant (11) ayant un réseau d'ouvertures d'entrées (12) menant aux dites sections de connexion, dans lequel les sections intermédiaires (22) des contacts de signal (7) sont chacune accommodée dans un passage correspondant (16) du logement, caractérisé en ce que ledit logement (6) est muni d'une chambre à air (10), tous les contacts (7, 8) s'étendant, sur une partie de leur longueur, dans ladite chambre à air, la hauteur d'au moins une pluralité des sections intermédiaires étant partiellement inférieure à la hauteur du passage correspondant.
  2. Connecteur selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite chambre à air (10) est disposée de manière adjacente à ladite paroi (11), toutes les sections de connexion (13) étant disposées dans ladite chambre à air.
  3. Connecteur selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel les contacts de masse (8) de chaque rangée de contacts de masse faisant partie d'un élément de contacts de masse (9).
  4. Connecteur selon une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel, dans chaque rangée et chaque colonne, tous les contacts (7, 8) sont disposés à un pas égal dans la direction des rangées et des colonnes, dans lequel des rangées successives de contacts sont décalées, dans la direction des rangées, de la moitié d'un pas des contacts, dans lequel chaque rangée et chaque colonne de contacts contient des contacts uniquement de signal ou uniquement de masse, respectivement, et dans lequel les rangées et les colonnes de contacts ont un pas égal à la moitié du pas des contacts.
  5. Connecteur selon une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le logement (6) comporte au moins une paroi avant (11) et une partie de support de contacts (15), la paroi avant étant fixée de façon amovible à la partie de support de contacts.
  6. Connecteur selon la revendication 5, dans lequel la paroi avant (11) est munie d'une cavité (23) sur sa face intérieure à l'emplacement de chaque ouverture d'entrée (12) pour au moins tous les contacts de signal (7), lesdites cavités recevant et alignant la section de connexion (13) de chaque contact avec l'ouverture d'entrée correspondante.
