Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for filling containers with liquids, the liquid being poured into the container and then the container is closed, and a device for performing the method.
When filling containers with oxygen-sensitive products, e.g. B. in the Food industry, it must always be ensured that as little as possible Oxygen remains in the container after the container has been closed. In the headspace atmospheric oxygen remaining in the container can react with the product and thus z. B. lead to deviations in taste. In addition, in the presence of sufficient oxygen the risk of spoilage by aerobic microorganisms.
When filling cans with liquids, e.g. B. in the filling of beer cans Usually the so-called bottom cover gassing is used. It is during a a short period of time before sealing the cans tried to blow the air out To replace the headspace of the cans by gassing with an inert gas. As for this Fumigation is available only a short period before the cans are sealed stands, it is usually not possible to completely remove the oxygen in this way to remove the headspace of the cans.
Attempts have also already been made to insert the container headspace To inert liquid nitrogen drops. This liquid nitrogen small dosage has the disadvantage, however, that the evaporating, liquid nitrogen completely Surface of the liquid in the container is not evenly covered, whereby considerable air residues can remain in the head space. It also requires Liquid nitrogen dosing a relatively complex installation. There is also a risk of the nitrogen nozzle icing up.
When filling bottles with liquids, e.g. B. when filling beer bottles, High pressure water jet injection (HDE) is usually used. This is done after filling the bottles and before closing the bottles Water is injected into the bottles under high pressure, creating a quick Foaming of the carbonized liquid is effected in the headspace of the Air is removed from the bottles by the foaming liquid Ousted bottles. However, this method only works with carbonized ones Liquids. In addition, there is usually not only foaming, but also also to an excess of the liquid. Therefore, it is necessary that overdosing liquid to be filled. Because of the foaming, the Bottles can also be cleaned after closure, creating additional Costs are incurred. In general, it is also not possible with this method to completely remove the oxygen from the headspace of the bottles, since with the injected water can also be entered with small amounts of oxygen.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of a method of type mentioned above and a device for performing the method so To design that the greatest possible distance in an economical manner of gaseous oxygen is reached from the headspace of the container.
This object is achieved on the process side according to the invention in that after Pour in the liquid and at least one before closing the container Inert gas jet is directed onto the surface of the liquid so that the Inert gas jet penetrates into the liquid and causes the liquid to foam, whereby the one located above the liquid surface in the container Ambient air is displaced.
In the context of the present invention, all conceivable gases and To understand gas mixtures that are inert to the liquid, i.e. none enter into chemical reactions with the liquid. In particular are as inert gas Nitrogen or carbon dioxide is provided. But is also conceivable. B. the use of Noble gases. The inert gas jet is preferably made of gaseous nitrogen and / or gaseous carbon dioxide formed. In addition or as an alternative to the gaseous one The inert gas jet can also liquid and nitrogen and / or gaseous carbon dioxide Have nitrogen and / or liquid carbon dioxide.
Preferably, the inert gas jet is adjusted so that the liquid exactly up to the top of the container foams. In this way, an overexposure the liquid and related cleaning work can be avoided.
Advantageously, several inert gas jets are closely bundled, so that due to the intensity of the bundled beam even with larger containers and Liquid surfaces foaming the liquid up to the edge of the container and thus displacing the oxygen in the container head space.
To achieve even foaming of the liquid, you can also several bundled inert gas jets are distributed over the liquid surface will.
Since by adjusting the amount of inert gas and the inert gas pressure, the intensity of Inert gas jet can be precisely controlled with the invention Process achieved a controlled foaming of the liquid in the container, so that a safe displacement of the oxygen from the container is effected without the Disadvantages of overflowing the container.
The invention further relates to a device for filling containers with a Liquid with a container filling device and a container closing device and a conveyor for transporting the containers from the Container filling device for container closing device.
On the device side, the task is solved in that between the Container filling device and the container closing device a device for Generation of at least one inert gas jet is provided, the device is designed so that the inert gas jet onto the liquid surface in the container is adjustable and adjustable so that it penetrates the liquid and the liquid brings to frothing, causing the above the liquid surface in the container ambient air is displaced.

The device for generating the inert gas jet expediently has one Double tube, which consists of an inner tube and a surrounding the inner tube, there is preferably arranged concentrically to the outer tube. The invention is suitable for filling all conceivable liquids into containers, all liquids in the sense of the present invention are understandable, which can be made to foam. In particular, the Invention for filling liquid foods, e.g. As beer, in cans or Bottles provided. The application of the invention is not only limited to limited carbonized liquids.
With the invention, the oxygen content in the closed containers can be obtained on the liquid can be reduced to below 0.1 mg oxygen per liter.
