Description

The present invention relates to a communication device electroacoustics and more particularly a device for headphones protection as well as a helmet equipped with such a device.

Protective helmets have long been in use fluent in different fields, either professionally, as it is the case for soldiers, gendarmes or firefighters, either on a civil basis or private, as is the case for users of motorcycles, cars rally or race. We also know helmets that are equipped a means of communication allowing its user to communicate with another user wearing a similar helmet. We may in this regard cite the helmets described in patent applications French, n ° 2 289 072, n ° 2 502 372, or n ° 2 471 112, which are equipped with fairly complex and little electroacoustic devices satisfactory. Indeed, helmets as described in the prior art do not cannot be worn in difficult to use conditions like, for example, by firefighters who intervene delicate. An improvement has already been proposed which is described in the French patent application No. 2,565,057 filed by the plaintiff, that the connection between the headphones and the electroacoustic device is removable while the sensor is an osteomicrophone carried by a arms. It is, in this same patent application, proposed another electroacoustic device whose connection with the headset is also removable, but according to which the sensor is a simple worn microphone by an arm.

But all of these known devices have a certain number of disadvantages and in particular that of being bulky, little practical, as well as relatively complex and fragile.

Furthermore, we know from the patents EP-A-0.465.971 and EP.A.0.019.838, helmets having protective devices communication arranged permanently and permanently.

The present invention therefore seeks to resolve the disadvantages mentioned above by proposing a new device particularly simple, reliable and practical.

Thus the electroacoustic type communication device for protective helmet according to the invention, includes a sensor, such that a microphone, and an earpiece, and is characterized in that said sensor and earpiece are arranged in a housing and in that it is provided connecting means for fixing said housing to the helmet, said means constituting a removable connection.

According to an additional characteristic, the case is intended for be fixed inside the helmet in the area occupied by the ear the user. For this purpose, the housing includes an extension forming a connecting lug intended to be engaged in a lateral slide integral with the helmet having a complementary shape.

Furthermore, the helmet is, for example, of the type comprising a deformable cap comprising a strip retaining a wall deformable or similar, said strip being fixed to the helmet by at least the lateral slide retaining the communication device, while the side slide is secured to a front support piece fixed to the main outer shell of the helmet.

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge of the description which will follow with regard to the appended drawings which are not given only by way of nonlimiting examples.

Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the entire communication device and an example of protective helmet for which it is intended.

Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the different elements constituting the communication device the invention.

Figure 3 is a side view with partial cutaway protective helmet fitted with the communication device the invention.

Figure 4 is a perspective view of the helmet with its communication device.

Figure 5 is a detailed perspective view showing more especially the retention of the connection cable.

According to the invention, the device comprises a housing (4) in which is arranged, on the one hand, the earpiece (3) and, on the other hand, the microphone (2). Furthermore, the housing (4) includes an extension forming a connecting tab (5) for fixing the device in a safety helmet.

Furthermore, on the connection cable (8) is fixed a device attachment (15) for fixing said cable (8) to the helmet protection (30) in an appropriate zone.

Le boítier (4) comprend un corps de boítier (16) fermé par un couvercle (17) fixé audit corps (16) par clipsage ou grâce à un ensemble de vis (18).The housing (4) comprises a housing body (16) closed by a cover (17) fixed to said body (16) by clipping or by means of an assembly screws (18).

Said housing body (16) has the general shape of a triangle and comprises two housings (19, 20), a first cylindrical housing (19) intended to receive the microphone sensor (2) and a second cylindrical housing (20) of larger diameter intended to receive the earpiece (3). Furthermore, and advantageously, these two housings are connected to each other to form a common recessed housing (21) made in the housing body and which is open to the outside by a lateral opening (22) intended for the passage and the retention of the connection (8). The upper wall of the housing body (16) comprises the extension (5) mentioned above. The latter is one with the housing body and has the shape of a dish extending upwards and the width and length allow its engagement in a slide inside the protective helmet.

The cover (17) consists of a generally shaped plate identical to the housing body (16) and includes two holes (23, 24), one first hole (23) arranged at the microphone (2) and a second hole (24) arranged at the earpiece (3).

In addition, two discs (200, 300) are advantageously provided. of deformable foam intended to be placed at the bottom of the housing (19, 20) between the microphone (2) and the bottom wall (160) of the housing body (16), as well as between the earpiece (3) and said bottom wall.

The communication device of the invention is intended for equip a protective helmet (30) which may be of any type. He will be therefore describes a helmet as a non-limiting example of the type like, for example example, that used by firefighters and including an outer shell main (31) protecting the skull and the neck of the user and 0 having a front facial opening (32) in the area occupied by the face itself of the latter.

The shell is made of rigid material and can be of any material suitable such as plastic, steel, aluminum or material composite of the type comprising a stack of fiber layers reinforcement, impregnated and linked together by a resin matrix. Said outer shell consists of a substantially spherical wall (33) comprising a plurality of wall portions, namely, a front portion upper wall (34) extended rearwards by a rear portion upper wall (35), itself extended downwards by a lower rear wall portion (36) and further includes two side wall portions (37). The upper front portion (34) corresponds to the area occupied by the user's forehead and is limited by the upper edge (38) of the facial opening (32) which, in turn, is laterally bounded by two side edges (39). The part upper rear wall (35) corresponds to the area occupied by the user's cranial body, while the lower rear portion of wall (36) corresponds to the area occupied by the user's neck. Add to this that the wall (33) of the shell is limited downwards by a lower border (40). The lateral wall portions (37) correspond to the areas occupied by the user's ears and are bounded forwards by the corresponding lateral border (39) of the facial opening (32) and down through the front ends of the lower border (40). The outer shell (31) constitutes a cavity comprising, for example, a cap (41) and other elements such as, for example, neck cushions (42) and a cap (43). This the latter is, for example, constituted by a layer of foam which is, for example, glued to the inner face (44) of the shell. The hairdo deformable (41) allows, on the one hand, the adaptation of the helmet to the volume and the shape of the user's head and, on the other hand, maintain a space between the latter and the internal face of the shell, which furthermore comprises, and in a manner known per se, a retaining chin strap (45).

The deformable cap (41) consists of a padded headband head circumference (46) and a deformable wall (47) such as, for example, a textile mesh intended to bear on the head of the user. Said cap thus formed is fixed inside the helmet by its strip on a front support piece (48) arranged and fixed to inside the hull to extend from the front and partially towards the rear following the profile of the internal face of the shell wall.

This front support piece (48) consists of a curved wall made of plastic, the front part of which extends partially towards the high and the ends of the lateral parts (49) of which are fixed to the lateral portions of the walls (37) of the shell, for example, by screws (50) or similar. The fixing of the strip (46) on the front piece is done by means of buttons (51) projecting from the strip to be engaged and retained in corresponding blind guides (52, 53) produced in the front piece (48). The two front slides (52) have a sufficient length to receive and properly hold buttons for hanging the corresponding strip, while at least one of the side rails (53) is extended downwards to receive the button the corresponding strip and ensure the retention and connection of the device communication (1) according to the invention. Note that the slides side (53) are arranged inside the helmet and laterally in the lateral areas occupied by the ears of the helmet user.

According to the invention, the communication box (4) is arranged to the interior of the helmet against the lateral portions of the walls (37) of the shell in the area occupied by the helmet wearer's ear. To this end, said housing (4) is retained in the helmet by cooperation of its tab of connection (5) with the lateral slide (53), such as, for example, and such as illustrated with the right side slide. Thus, the extension of housing (5) is engaged in the slide.

En position d'utilisation dans le casque, le capteur microphonique (2) est disposé au-dessus de l'écouteur (3).When in use in the helmet, the sensor microphone (2) is arranged above the earpiece (3).

Furthermore, the connection cable (8) is connected to the headset in its middle part (80) thanks to the hooking device (15) intended to come in engagement with the attachment means (450) of the chin strap (45). The attachment device (15) comprises a first part (15a) on which is articulated a second part (15b) which includes a groove hooking (150) in which the connection cable (8, 80). Thus, the latter runs along the lower edge (40) before protruding forward (AV).

It goes without saying that it would not go beyond the scope of the invention which regardless of the type of protective helmet used. In addition, we do not would not depart from the scope of the invention if the housing (4) was attached to the helmet, but externally like, for example, on its outer wall (33) at the level of the lateral portions of the walls, at the level of the zones occupied by the ears.

It will be noted that the connection means of the housing are means constituting a removable connection allowing mounting and manual and easy disassembly that the user can do without him being necessary to have a special tool.
