Description
The invention relates to a calender for paper and similar web material, with a roll stack, of the at least four rollers with associated bearing blocks has, with a stand on the bearing blocks held or guided approximately vertically, as well as with a a load device having a support block, from above onto the bearing blocks of the top roller and / or from below onto the bearing blocks of the lower roller acts.
Ein Stützblock der unteren Belastungsvorrichtung stützt sich am Fuß des Ständers, ein Stützblock der oberen Belastungsvorrichtung an dessen Kopf ab.Multi-roll calenders of this type are, for example, out DE 28 23 738 C2 and EP 0 732 443 A1 are known. The roll stack includes a variety of rollers, for example 14 pieces. The roll stack is replaced by a lower one Load device brought into the working position and by an upper load device with forces which, together with the weight of the rollers, weighed down Determine the compressive stress in the nips. The lower one Load device is supported at the foot of the stand, the top loading device on its head from. A support block of the lower load device supports itself at the foot of the stand, a support block of the upper loading device on its head.
Calenders have recently become known (DE-U-295 04 034), in which the number of rolls is reduced to five to eight, but in order to achieve the same satin result, the roll temperatures are increased and the roll gaps are subjected to greater loads, for example with a medium one Compressive stress in the lowest working gap of more than 42 N / mm 2 . Because of the greater load forces, these calenders require stands with a larger dimension.
In two-roll presses (DE 42 31 472 A1 and US-A-3 921 514) it is known the bearing blocks of the two Rolling including the loading device to connect by tie rods. This can be a stand omitted.
The invention has for its object a multi-roll calender of the type described in the introduction, which is also suitable for high loads.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by tie rods, at both ends of the roll along the roll stack run and their exciting one hand with a bearing block the top roller or - if available - with the Support block from its loading device and on the other hand with a bearing block of the lower roller or - if available - with the support block from its loading device are connected, to enable an expansion of the tie rods with one Exciting blocks connected to the tie rods on the stand are led.
The stand is relieved by the tie rods. The of forces applied to the loading device essentially absorbed by an expansion of the tie rods. The stand that is still necessary to The main thing is keeping the reels in the stack due to the weights of the rollers and other components loaded. The tie rods can also be easily retrofitted Attach. You can therefore use existing stands also use for modern calenders where one higher stress occurs. With such a modification using the existing stand Keep conversion time and conversion costs low.
It is advantageous that the tie rods between the roll stack and stand run. At this point is in everything Usually there is still space for the tie rods.
It is favorable that the tie rods with a section their length are attached to the stand, which is in Area of a bearing block attached to the stand. This is the position of the tie rod on the stand fixed without interfering with the operation becomes. At least one end of the tie rod is required for the Stretch free.
It is recommended that the tie rods in the area of upper exciting attached to the stand and the lower Exciting formed on a hanging part of the tie rod are. Because the tie rods are based on their own weight Maintain their vertical course are sufficient simple measures to this course of tie rods secure on the stand.
It is advantageous that the bearing blocks of the top roller and the upper clamping ends are arranged fixed to the stand and the lower tensioners a support block for the Wear the load device located below. This Load device generates the desired one hand Line load and on the other hand enables quick lowering to open the nip.
It is recommended that the bearing blocks of the top roller are attached to the stand and have a holder, which is penetrated by a tie rod and a support for its upper, exciting shape shaped as a head forms. The tie rods therefore do not need Stand to be attached, but can also be from be held in a fixed bearing block.
A preferred alternative is that the top Ends of the tie rods are attached to the stand and the bearing blocks on the side opposite the stand the top roller. When the tie rods on the stand attached, they can in turn be used as carriers fixed bearing blocks.
In one embodiment, the tie rods are at least partially threaded rods and at least some exciting people trained as mothers. This is useful if the effective length of the tie rod discontinued for the first time or as a result of a roller exchange or a roll reduction a change in length must be made.
According to a preferred embodiment, the tie rods are formed as plates that have an essential Part of the height and width of the side panels of the stand. Such a plate can be tight can be arranged next to the stand and takes hardly any additional Space, which is cheap for a conversion. You can also use thin plates because of the Width of the stator side parts is relatively large Reach cross sections so that the tension in the Plates does not exceed the permissible limit values. The exciting features of the plate can also be easily realized. So the upper exciting between Stator and bearing blocks of the top roller arranged and be firmly connected to both. Furthermore, the lower tensioning firmly with the lower loading device supporting support block connected his.
It is also advantageous that a vertical longitudinal groove of the support block receives the plate and a wedge partially a transverse groove in the support block and partly one Cross groove penetrated in the plate. This is only necessary minor changes and additions to the existing ones Components for retrofitting a calender with tie rods to provide.
It is also favorable that the tie rods by brackets are guided on the stand. These brackets need to be on the one hand a movement of the tie rods for the purpose of stretching allow, but on the other hand should buckle or the like. prevent the tie rod.
In a preferred embodiment, the brackets through in existing guides of the stand gripping rear grip strips attached to the tie rod educated. But there are also other design features considered, such as stands and tie rods encompassing parentheses.
It is also recommended that the roll stack is hard and having soft rollers and that the soft rollers wear a cover made of elastic plastic. Because such Plastic covers only require minimal grinding, can use tie rods without length adjustment be, for example, the mentioned plates.

Der Mehrwalzen-Kalander 1 der Fig. 1 und 2 besitzt einen
Ständer 2, dessen eines Seitenteil in der Zeichnung
sichtbar ist. Ein Walzenstapel 3 weist eine Oberwalze
4, eine Unterwalze 5 und dazwischen acht Zwischenwalzen
