Abstract

Eine Metallhalogenid-Hochdruckentladungslampe (1) mit einem Entladungsgefäß (2) und zwei Elektroden (4,5) weist im Innern des Entladungsgefäßes (2) eine ionisierbare Füllung auf, die außer Inertgas, Quecksilber, Halogen, Thallium (Tl), Hafnium (Hf), wobei Hafnium ganz oder teilweise durch Zirkon (Zr) ersetzt sein kann, Dysprosium (Dy) und/oder Gadolinium (Gd) sowie optional Cäsium (Cs), zusätzlich Yttrium (Y) enthält. Bevorzugt wird die bisher übliche Menge des Seltenen Erdmetalls teilweise durch die moläquivalente Menge Yttrium ersetzt. Mit diesem Füllungssystem wird selbst bei hohen spezifischen Bogenleistungen von mehr als 120 W pro mm Bogenlänge bzw. bei hohen Wandbelastungen eine relativ geringe Entglasungsneigung erzielt. Dabei kann die Füllmenge des Cäsium gegenüber einer vergleichbaren Füllung ohne Yttrium deutlich reduziert werden, wodurch eine Erhöhung des Lichtstroms und insbesondere der Leuchtdichte erreicht wird.

The filling quantity of the cesium can be significantly reduced compared to a comparable filling without yttrium, which increases the luminous flux and in particular the luminance.
