Aus den Drainagerohren 4 schließlich wird es in den die Drainagerohre 4 umgebenden Sand 3 hinaus und durch die Filterfolie 5 in die Tretschicht 6, 7 nach oben gedrückt, bis ein vorgegebener Wasserspiegel 17 vom Niveaufühler 15 festgestellt wird, bei dem das Bewässern der Tretschicht durch entsprechendes Einstellen der Höhe des Wasserspiegels im Wasserbehälter 11 beendet wird.
