- Hinge according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the retaining screw (18) is only long enough so that it fits wholly within the cross-section of the shank (6) of the retaining element (50).
- Hinge according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that means are provided to prevent the retaining element (50) together with the cover piece (30,30') from falling out of the bore (7) during handling and mounting of the hinge (100).
- Hinge according to claim 7, characterised in that the means comprise at least one resilient tongue (25,25') formed on the shank (6) and extending in the direction of the shank and which, on insertion of the shank (6) into the bore (7) of the attachment piece (12), has its free end pushed back against the shank (6) with elastic deformation.
- Hinge according to claim 7, characterised in that the means comprise a resilient ring (28) which closely surrounds the shank (6) and which bears tightly against the inside of the bore (7) when the shank is inserted in the bore (7).
- Hinge according to claim 7, characterised in that the means comprise a slot (29) extending centrally from the head (3) of the retaining element (50) into the shank (6), and not extending over the whole length of the shank (6), and that the shank (6), in its unstressed state before insertion in the bore (7), spreads out slightly in diameter transverse to the slot (29) against the head (3) and on insertion it is squeezed under stress transverse to the slot (29).
