Abstract

The device has at least one dosing component with a dosing slot (8) formed as an open jet nozzle which is located between two lips (10,12). Viewed in the flow direction of the coating medium (2), one (10) of the lips is longer than the other (12) and forms a guide surface (14) for the coating medium. A coating edge limiting device has at least two limiting elements (16). They are located between the two lips and can seal off the dosing slot on its side edges.
