Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a temperature monitor a bimetal rear derailleur that switches at overtemperature, one the switchgear housing lower part, one the lower housing part closing lid part and a Kapton film, which are arranged between the lower housing part and the cover part and for a mechanical seal between the lower part of the housing and the lid part.
Ein derartiger Temperaturwächter ist aus der US-A-48 49 729 bekannt.Such a temperature monitor is known from US-A-48 49 729.
The known temperature monitor comprises a housing with a Cover made of insulating material, on the inside a resistance track is arranged, which serves as a self-holding resistor. The lid is placed on a base made of electrically conductive material, making electrical contact to one end of the resistance track is made for an electrical connection between the connection on the lid and the lower part.
Between the lid and the lower part is a Kapton disc be provided to provide mechanical sealing, to avoid soldering the housing.
In temperature monitors which are further known from the prior art the lower part of the housing and the cover part are made of conductive Material, preferably metal, so that it is very stable and are pressure-resistant.
The bimetal rear derailleur usually includes a spring washer, which is with its edge on the bottom of the lower housing part supports and carries a movable contact part in the middle, that pushes it against the inside of the lid part, where a fixed counter contact is arranged. Via the movable contact part is a bimetallic snap disc that slipped underneath their switching temperature rests without force on the spring washer. Such a temperature monitor is on the cover part and contacted the housing base, the current from the Cover part over the counter contact and the spring washer to the Lower housing part flows.
If the temperature of the bimetallic snap disc becomes impermissible raised, it jumps from its convex into a concave Form in which it against the force of the spring washer movable contact part stands out from the mating contact and thus opens the circuit. For this it is necessary that the Cover part is insulated from the lower housing part, what through the already mentioned Kapton film.
The Kapton film also covers the inside of the lid part, so that the edge is in its high temperature position here supporting bimetal snap disc no short circuit can produce between the cover part and the spring washer.
It is known to use another insulating film instead of the Kapton film to be used, e.g. be made of Nomex or Teflon can. The thickness of the Kapton film is 75 µm, this thickness is determined by the desired dielectric strength. It is noted that in the open state over the Kapton film a voltage drops that corresponds to the level of the mains voltage can correspond.
Important for the operation of the temperature monitor described so far is that no dust, no moisture as well as none Liquid get inside this temperature monitor, to impair the function of the bimetal rear derailleur to avoid. Dust and liquid can e.g. undesirable Leakage currents or isolation areas arise, which negatively affects the reliable operation of the temperature monitor can influence. It can also damage the rear derailleur arise.
To achieve the required tightness, the stand the technology, the temperature monitors with connecting wires with epoxy, silicone or other coating compositions either whole or but only encased on the areas where penetration is possible for dust, water, oil etc. are present. These wrappings require additional costly operations.
In addition, it is known to work with connecting wires to provide the provided temperature monitor with shrink sleeves, to achieve electrical isolation.
Against this background, it is an object of the present invention the above-mentioned temperature monitor at constructive simple structure so that in an inexpensive way for a good seal between the lower part of the housing and the Cover part is taken care of.
With the temperature monitor mentioned at the beginning, this task solved according to the invention in that the cover part on his Inside a bead or in the area of its edge Has rib, which the Kapton film in the area of its support area at least partially constricted, the bead preferably has a thickness that is greater than 20 microns.
The object underlying the invention is achieved in this way completely solved.
The inventor has recognized that the Kapton film from one non-porous and non-linting material is made that moreover has some elasticity so that it too can be compressed to a certain extent. According to the invention the bead now partially penetrates the material, so to speak the Kapton film and acts as a kind of sealing lip. By the choice of the thickness of the Kapton film on the one hand and the thickness on the one hand, the bead or sealing lip can be used for this be ensured that the required dielectric strength is retained, while on the other hand a sufficiently high penetration depth can be achieved so that the desired mechanical Sealing is achieved.
Compared to a more flat deformation of the Kapton film in a support area between the edge of the lid part and one Shoulder of the lower housing part has the measure of revolving Bead on the one hand the advantage that by the above described choice of thicknesses can be ensured that the Dielectric strength is retained. The force required namely, to press the bead into the Kapton disc is less than the force required to pull the Kapton film in the entire support area. By choice the required when crimping the lower housing parts Force can thus be ensured that the bead in the Kapton film penetrates and for mechanical sealing ensures that, however, no further, especially none inadmissible deformation of the Kapton film takes place.
While a Kapton film deformed in the entire contact area has the advantage that the deformation on a larger Surface takes place and therefore for a very good seal this good sealing with the bead is achieved by that this is like a kind of sealing lip in the Kapton material penetrates. Of course, both measures can also be combined be used.
The Kapton film is preferably thicker by at least 25 μm designed as was the case in the prior art, so they are compressed in the contact area by this amount (25 µm) can be. Remains outside the support and press area maintain the original thickness of the Kapton film more or less, so that overall a very good seal between Cover part and lower housing part results.
This section-wise compression of the Kapton film is after Knowledge of the inventors possible because they are apart from the required Elasticity has the further advantage that it no small particles, lint, etc. when pressed together emits that get inside the temperature monitor and there could affect operational safety.
The thickness of the Kapton film is chosen so that the required electrical dielectric strength is achieved.
Further advantages result from the description and the attached drawing.
It is understood that the above and those below Features to be explained not only in each case specified combination, but also in other combinations or can be used alone, without the scope of to leave the present invention.
