Abstract

Pour réaliser des services interactifs, par exemple de la vidéo sur demande, un canal de retour doit être mis à la disposition de chaque abonné. Les signaux vidéo et audio d'un service interactif sont transmis par un serveur (SERVEUR) par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau de télévision par câble (CATV) ou d'une liaison par satellite jusqu'aux boîtes accessoires de communication (STB) des postes récepteurs de télévision des abonnés. Le canal de retour est réalisé dans un réseau numérique à intégration de services (RNIS). La boîte accessoire de communication (STB) de chaque abonné comprend une interface S0 (S0) qui lui donne accès au réseau numérique à intégration de services (RNIS).
