Abstract
A system for detecting and locating leaks in vertical water supply pipes in a building. The system consists of a leak water retaining device (4) combined with two separate electrodes (6, 7). The water establishes contact between the two electrodes connected to a central unit that actuates a solenoid valve. The leak water recovered in a container (1) is discharged into the waste water down-pipe (10). If the down-pipe is blocked, the device uses the resulting backflow to trigger the closure of the collective solenoid valve. Said system is particularly suitable for preventing water damage resulting from a riser leak or congestion in a waste water down-pipe.
Description
SYSTEMEDEDETECTIONETDEPROTECTION DESFUITESD'EAUWATER LEAKAGE DETECTION AND PROTECTION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a system for detecting and locating leaks on vertical pipes for the distribution of domestic or industrial water (mains water, district heating), or even other liquid fluids.
Currently, the presence of a leak in a building is not easily located, especially in the case of the use of technical ducts which have the effect of masking the origin of the leak. This frequently results in significant damage, and often long and costly searches.
The proposed system allows on the one hand to immediately detect the area (or the floor in a building) where the leak is located and on the other hand to avoid the diffusion of water thanks to its recovery as close to the leak limiting damage.
The system includes: - a receptacle with two compartments, enclosing the pipe whatever its diameter, using 2 rings.
- deux électrodes inoxydables, à chaque niveau, reliées à une centrale de détection et/ou à une électrovanne.- two stainless steel electrodes, at each level, connected to a detection unit and / or to a solenoid valve.
La vidange du bas est reliόθ à la descente des eaux usées.- at the base of each part, a drain hose. The bottom drain is connected to the descent of the wastewater.
La centrale de détection alertée, actionne l'électrovanne collectif.- at the top of the lower part, there is a drain pipe connected to a collector in the cellar. If a leak appears on the column, water flows along the pipe and will then be stopped in its fall by the first receptacle it will meet. The water in the receptacle will establish contact between the two electrodes. This will alert the central detection unit which can, if necessary, activate the solenoid valve which will shut off the water on the floor or block of floors concerned. The water from the leak is discharged down the wastewater. If the latter is clogged, the water flows back into the lower part of the receptacle, establishing contact between two electrodes. The alerted central detection unit activates the collective solenoid valve.
Description des figures. The accompanying drawings illustrate a practical embodiment example. Description of the figures.
Figure 1 shows a block diagram of an embodiment of the device described above.
La figure 2 représente le système d'évacuation.Figure 2 shows the exhaust system.
A hermetic and removable receptacle (l) provided with two compartments, enclosing a vertical column (2) using two watertight rings (3).
The upper compartment collects water from a leak point (4). This water is evacuated by a drainage system (5) located at the base of this compartment.
One electrode (6) located above the base, and the second (7) in the drain tube (5).
Cette vidange est équipée d'un clapet anti-retour (8).This drain is equipped with a non-return valve (8).
L'eau descend vers le compartiment du bas, à la base duquel se trouve une autre vidange (9).The water goes down to the bottom compartment, at the base of which is another drain (9).
The water from the leak is then evacuated to the descent of the wastewater (10). If this descent (10) is blocked, the water coming from the latter flows back to the bottom compartment of the receptacle (1).
When the wastewater reaches the level of the electrode (12), it will establish contact between the two electrodes.
If the flow is too great, a direct evacuation (13) makes it possible to empty the excess of the engorgement in a cellar collector or to write off.
Cette dernière alertée peut actionner :The electrodes are connected to a central detection unit. The latter alerted can activate:
- l'électrovanne collectif dans le cas d'engorgement de la descente des eaux usées- the solenoid valve (14) of the level concerned in the event of a water leak. - the collective solenoid valve in the event of clogging of the descent of the wastewater
This system according to the invention is particularly suitable for preventing the consequences of water damage.
