Abstract

The wiring arrangement has four conductors (1) which are insulated (2) e.g. with cellular polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride or a fluorinated polymer, and surrounded collectively by a strip (3) of e.g. aluminium 125 mu m thick, wound to form a circular cylinder (4). The edges (5) of the strip are overlapped and held together e.g. by a laser weld (6) within the overall circular contour of the cable. Alternatively the arrangement may have a square cross-section with rounded corners, the strip comprising an outer metallic coating and an inner layer of synthetic material, e.g. polyester. The strip is wound helically and its overlapped edges are glued together.
