At this point the pins 26 may be reinserted and locked in the respective seats 27. The device must then be raised from the ground before being able to activate opening of the two jaws 3,3'.
  • Opening of the jaws 3,3' is performed by the first drive device 10 which causes simultaneous rotation of the two threaded bars 15,15'. These bars, rotating, cause feeding of the nut screws 19,19' which, in turn, transmit the rectilinear movement to the coupling forks 18,18' and hence to the jaws 3,3'.
  • the two jaws 3,3' are moved apart until the distance between them is greater than the width of the reel (not shown) to be raised.
  • the lower gripping zone 4,4' of the jaws 3,3' is brought into alignment with the axis of the hole in the reel.
  • the first drive system 10 is operated for closing so as to move the two jaws 3,3' closer together.
  • the motor 12 is stopped when both inner flanks 29,29' of the jaws come into contact with the reel.
  • the motor 13 transmits its movement to the pinion 21 by means of the second reduction unit 25.
  • the rotation of the pinion 21 on the toothed wheel 20 results in rotation of the central body 2 with respect to the coupling zone 9, i.e. of the suspended reel with respect to the crane hook.
  • the present invention therefore achieves the preset objects.
  • the arrangement of the two motors alongside the coupling zone in addition to permitting a considerable reduction in the height of the device, also ensures extremely convenient and safe access to the two drive systems.

Claims (5)

  1. Un dispositif pour la manutention de bobines, comprenant:
    une zone supérieure d'accouplement (9) pour accrocher le dispositif à une grue;
    un corps central de support (2);
    une paire de mâchoires (3, 3'), chacune desquelles étant substantiellement constituée d'une zone inférieure de prise en forme de L (4, 4') et d'une zone supérieure de montage (5, 5') insérée et glissant dans un guide (6, 6') de forme appropriée réalisé dans le corps central de support (2);
    des moyens translatants (7, 7') placés sur la partie inférieure du corps central de support (2) mais au-dessus de la zone supérieure de montage (5, 5') de ladite paire de mâchoires (3, 3'), pour ouvrir et fermer les mâchoires (3, 3'), et mis en mouvement par un premier système d'actionnement (10);
    une tête rotative (8) placée entre la zone supérieure d'accouplement (9) et le corps central de support (2) et actionnée par un second système d'actionnement (11); caractérisé en ce que lesdits premier et second systèmes d'actionnement (10, 11) sont tous les deux disposés sur le corps central de support (2) susbstantiellement au-dessus de la tête rotative (8) approximativement au niveau de ladite zone d'accouplement (9) et le long de celle-ci.
  2. Un dispositif selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de translation comprennent une paire de vis de commande (7, 7').
  3. Un dispositif selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que ladite paire de vis de commande (7, 7') comprend, pour chaque mâchoire (3, 3'), une barre horizontale filetée (15, 15') supportant une poulie (14, 14') placée sur l'une des extrémités de la barre (15, 15') et reliée au premier système d'actionnement (10) au moyen d'une courroie de transmission (16).
  4. Un dispositif selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que lesdites deux vis de commande (7, 7') sont disposées le long l'une de l'autre et parallèles entre elles.
  5. Un dispositif selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la tête rotative (8) comprend:
    une roue dentée horizontale (20) étant une partie intégrante de la zone d'accouplement (9);
    un pignon (21) faisant partie intégrante du corps central de support (2) et actionné par ledit second système d'actionnement (11).
