Claims (9)

  1. Control device comprising a moving part (1) and enabling this part to be selectively locked in one or more discrete positions and to be released so that it can be displaced between these positions under the effect of a force (F) acting on it, this device comprising a profiled latch (2a) designed to co-operate due to matching shapes with a complementary part (1a) of said moving part (1), it being possible to displace this latch (2a) between a locked position checking said part (1) and an unlocked position releasing said part and to this end co-operating with control means (3 to 6) designed to permit its displacement between said two positions, characterised in that said latch (2a) and/or said complementary part (1a) of the moving part (1) have at least one bearing surface substantially inclined relative to the direction of displacement of said moving part (1), the slope or curvature of this surface being such that said force (F) acting on the moving part (1) does not prevent the release of said latch (2a) relative to said complementary part (1a) from the instant at which said control means (3 to 6) are activated to control displacement of the latch (2a) to its unlocked position, even if this force (F) is applied to the moving part (1) before said control means (3 to 6) are activated.
  2. Device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that said moving part (1) is a rotating part.
  3. Device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said latch (2a) is provided on the end of a rotating lever (2) and in that said control means comprise a motor unit (3) designed to cause the linear displacement of an output shaft (3a) against the force of a return spring (4) causing said rotating lever (2) to be retained in a position in which said latch (2a) assumes the position in which it locks said part (1).
  4. Device as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that said motor unit (3) acts on said rotating lever (2) via a pivoting connecting rod (5) bearing a wheel (6) at its free end, this wheel being displaceable between two positions: a first position in which it holds the latch (2a) in its position locking said part (1) and a second position in which it allows said rotating lever (2) to pivot into its unlocked position.
  5. Device as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that said rotating lever (2) has a first bearing surface (2b) for said wheel (6), this surface being perpendicular to said pivoting connecting rod (5) when the wheel (6) assumes said first position, and, inclined relative thereto and adjoining it, a second bearing surface (2c), this surface being in contact with said wheel (6) when it assumes said second position so that activation of said motor unit (3) causes said rotary lever (2) to shift, via said wheel (6), from the unlocked position to the locked position of said part (1).
  6. Device as claimed in any one of claims 3 to 5, characterised in that said motor unit (3) is an electromagnet.
  7. Device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that said latch (2a) and/or said complementary part (1a) of the moving part (1) have two bearing surfaces with opposing slopes or curves (2aa, 2ab; 1aa, 1ab), preferably symmetrical relative to the direction (D) of displacement of said latch (2a).
  8. Device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it is mounted on a fixed mount (7) via a pivoting support (8) which may be fixed in several adjustable positions relative to said mount (7).
  9. Device as claimed in claim 8, characterised in that said support (8) is joined to the mount (7) by screws (9) inserted in arcuate slits (10) of the pivoting support (8), the position of said support being finely adjusted by means of an adjusting screw (11).
