Abstract

A screen printing perforation pattern comprises elongated perforations (2, 3, 4; 12, 13, 14), in which the elongation directions of at least a part of the perforations run at angles to one another. The perforations are preferably parallelogram-shaped.

Description

The present invention relates to a hole pattern, in particular suitable for perforated screen printing stencils both in Rotary printing as well as flat printing.

Hole pattern templates are used in particular in the Textile printing industry, for example for printing on fabrics by means of so-called rotary screen printing or flat printing. Such hole patterns are also used for the production of integrated circuits for electronic engraving purposes for the production of printing cylinders and for etching of glass.

Process for the production of screen printing stencils and the associated printing techniques are well known and documented. This forms the basis for all screen printing techniques formed that a dye, an ink or any other Print media selectively through a hole pattern on a substrate is transmitted, evenly and in a technical flawless way to coat.

A large number of different printing templates or Hole patterns are available, which are usually relatively expensive , with the general rule that the finer the sieve or Hole pattern is formed, the more expensive the corresponding Stencil is, both in the production and in the purchase. Furthermore, depends on the way of the pressure effect to be achieved, only the use of a only one type of templates or hole patterns possible, or but in order to achieve a certain effect, several have to be interacting stencils or lace patterns are used become. But this will either be the manufacture of the for Textile printing necessary hole pattern templates very expensive and complex, or the achievement of certain effects impossible.

So in DE-26 13 408 as well as in DE-27 44 631 Screen printing stencils describe what complex hole patterns include. In the former document, parallelograms are used Holes around in three different directions a hexagon arranged around each other. In the second Document will be irregular, longitudinally symmetrical pentagons arranged around a regular hexagon. On but both screen printing stencils meet the above Comment on that they are relatively expensive in the one hand Manufacturing are and secondly for the achievement of certain Effects always several interacting stencils or lace patterns are to be used.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a To propose screen-printed hole patterns, by means of which the Engraving costs of the templates can be reduced and by means of which various pressure effects can be achieved can and thus reduces the number of required templates can be.

According to the invention, a screen-printed hole pattern according to the Proposed wording according to claim 1.

The hole pattern proposed according to the invention draws is characterized in that the individual perforations are elongated are, the directions of the longitudinal dimensions at least part of the holes angled to each other run. Furthermore, three holes always form one Punch unit, with the longitudinal center lines of each of the three perforations form at least almost an equilateral triangle.

Preferred variants of the inventive Hole patterns are characterized in dependent claims 2 to 5.

The invention will now, for example, and explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying figures.

Fig. 1
an embodiment of a screen printing perforated pattern designed according to the invention and
Fig. 2
Detail and enlarged a perforated pattern unit, comprising three perforations from the perforated pattern according to FIG. 1.

The hole pattern 1 consists of perforations or individual holes 2, 3 and 4, which by spaces or web-like strips are separated from each other. In contrast to those used today Perforations, which are usually circular, square or are hexagonal, are now the inventive Perforations elongated, as preferred rhomboid or diamond-like. As is known, diamonds or rhombuses are equilateral parallelograms, the according to the invention rhomboidal perforations an acute angle of 60 ° and accordingly an obtuse angle of 120 °.

As can be clearly seen in FIG. 1, three perforations always form 2, 3 and 4 or 12, 13 and 14, as in section A shown, a punch unit, which unit used today corresponds to hexagonal perforations. The single ones Perforations 2, 3 and 4 or 12, 13 and 14 as well as the thereby formed Punch units are even across the entire hole pattern 1 or the template distributed.

The hole pattern shown in Fig. 1 is particularly suitable as a template for rotary cylinders or for cylindrical ones Stencils for printing on fabrics or panels. The dye or media to use for printing is placed inside the rotating cylinder and through the hole pattern, for example by means of a Doctor blade, driven or pressed onto the material to be coated. When printing on the fabric or the fabric panels results thus, depending on how the rotation of the cylinder continuous, directional printing of the fabric, by continuously punching in a direction of the ink or the liquid print medium are permeated.

In planographic printing, this printing direction is caused by the movement of the squeegee, the material being moved gradually along the flat stencil is moved, each When the fabric web is at a standstill, the printing template against the Fabric is pressed.

This allows a printing direction for the hole pattern used define that either by the direction of rotation of the printing cylinder or by the direction of movement of the squeegee with flat stencils.

In Fig. 1 is a direction of the progressive printing designated by means of the hole pattern 1 with B. The rotation in the direction of rotation shown enables by use the one in hole pattern 1 with the reference numbers 4 or 14 designated perforations, extremely fine lines or in connection with perforations, labeled 2 and 3 or 12 and 13, or parts thereof to create sharp pattern boundaries. When printing, this means that as printing progresses or driving the printing inks through the holes in the color with respect to a punching unit A always through the punching 4 or 14 is driven and then by the following Perforations 2 and 3 or 12 and 13. Whether the printing the underlay or the fabric or the fabric by means of all perforations per perforation unit A or only partially depends on whether there are any the perforations are covered or not per perforation section. This is during the manufacturing process of the respective hole pattern or the template achieved by the for the manufacture Part of the template used photoemulsion the perforations are left or removed.

On the production of the pattern or template is on referred to the prior art from which the manufacture of printing stencils, for example using photosensitive emulsions, is well known.

The repeat hole pattern or the defined according to the invention Hole unit A, comprising holes 2, 3 and 4 and 12, 13 respectively and 14, enables a much more precise alignment of the Pattern perforations compared to known pattern perforations because during the engraving process, at least per repeated perforation unit there are three reference points. These three reference points can, as mentioned above, either completely exposed through the color during printing will be or partially covered. This can do that Print fine lines or pattern boundaries with the largest Accuracy can be achieved by printing each free penetrable perforated area of each perforated unit varies can be.

In contrast, if printing is done in the direction of arrow C, to printing direction B, a much better area coverage can be achieved than when using the known hole pattern. When printing in the direction of arrow C are thus initially the two holes 2 and 3 or 12 and 13 through the Ink penetrated while trailing perforation 4 or 14 finally applied by means of the printing ink becomes. Again, it is possible by partially covering individual Perforations per perforation unit A have a nationwide effect to reinforce or reduce.

Another advantage of the perforations according to the invention proposed hole pattern when printing in the direction C. in the possibility of achieving so-called "halftone" effects, which is achieved by having some or all of the perforations partially covered by a part of perforation units and that a color separation and a separate stencil be used. This benefit is further enhanced by printing reinforced by individual points, if necessary with a partial coverage of the respective perforations at precisely defined Set so that by converging or overlapping different print media of immediately adjacent color dots Halftone effects can arise perfectly.

It can thus be seen that the same hole pattern for two different inserts can be used, i.e. both with the holes 4 or 14 in advance or rotated by 180 ° trailing with the same perforation 4 or 14, making considerable Savings made in the procurement of screen printing stencils can be.

The hole pattern 1 shown in Fig. 1 is not limited to any one Thickness, fineness or type of production of the template are limited. The template can be used to produce various results and effects of the printed product and depending on the respective printing technology or other applications (e.g. Engraving) can be selected differently.

To achieve further different results and effects can be used when using multiple stencils Perforations, i.e. the perforations from screen template to screen template, be of different sizes, be it with an original one Screen template pattern for a photographic Sieve template, as an engraved recess or as a finished engraved or not engraved screen template for rotary printing or planographic printing to get desired results and effects in the various printing techniques and others Applications to achieve.

The perforated patterns are arranged on the screen printing cylinders in such a way that the main direction of the hole pattern, in Fig. 1 indicated by arrow direction C, not at right angles to the cylinder axis runs, but at an angle to it, so that fine lines are printed as continuously as possible. This Angled arrangement is called a "mesh pitch angle "(pitch angle of the hole pattern) This moves from the prior art Angles in a range of ± 15 ° or 30 °. In the inventive Hole pattern, this angle is less than 5 °, preferably 0.9 °, which is a technically much flawless Pressure results. This mesh pitch angle also hits for screen printing stencils for planographic printing, whereby here the Angle between the main direction of the hole pattern and the direction of movement of the squeegee defined as a mesh pitch angle is. If textile fabrics are printed, the weft threads can parallel to the axis of rotation of the printing cylinder or to the direction of movement of the squeegee and it's obvious that for reasons of printing technology here too Angle must be present. The same angle obviously hits even when engraving printing rollers with any Technology too, e.g. when laser engraving.

"B" steht für schwarz.2 shows an enlarged detail A from FIG. 1, representing a perforated unit, consisting of the perforations 12, 13 and 14. The color circular areas of the known ones are superimposed subtractive color mixing. "O" denotes the color orange, i.e. the mixed color of the basic tones yellow and red, "V" the color purple as a mixed color of the basic tones red and blue, "G" the color green as a mixed color of the basic tones blue and yellow. "B" stands for black.

It is therefore obvious that most of the colors Color scale can be obtained with only three stencils, whereby for a respective tint, as is known to the person skilled in the art, the openings of the three perforations for the respective one, a medium creating a color point by covering it appropriately can be chosen larger or smaller. As well is known for creating a black area an additional printing template is used. So it will possible, with only four templates the most common To produce hues and colors, also special Effects such as the halftone effect mentioned above are achieved can be.
